What a beautiful finish! I'm wondering if you were to stencil or stamp on top of the finish and then use the waxes at the end?

Hi Amy, I love love love this technique. I have raised the grain on a wooden oak dining table .
My desire is to use the venetian plaster scraping it back to stay and hang out inside the crevices of the raised grain. So my question is can I do the Venetian plaster on top of Raw wood , That may have tiny areas that have some of the original maker’s poly(topcoat). Should I seal it before I use the venetian plaster? My desire is for it to stay the same color except just have the white in all the crevices

Amy I absolutely love this finish. If I wanted to do this look with a 1 step or 1 hr paint which would you pick to be closest to this Pomegranate color.?

you are so helpful and easy to follow on how to do the finishes. I can't wait to get my paints from you. I have worked with Dixie Belle and Anne Sloan but what I like about your paints is the old world finish. love it!

You always show us on a piece of wood scrap. Which is great for the process. I want to see your techniques on pieces of furniture. I recently watched your trip to the antique and garden show. The furniture was amazing. I’d love to see you replicate a piece and show how you did it. I’m thinking of joining your inner circle and that’s the stuff I would hope is in there. Thanks!

QUESTION, could you use a deglosser on already stained and sealed piece then clean slate and go onto the milk paint? I want to use stained wood and not cover it up to have some peek through. I love these videos, so helpful.

If I already painted my wall with the 1 step paint, could I do the plaster over it and get a similar look? Obviously not identical, but similar?

Is there any way to achieve this technique with one step?

    • @AMakersStudio

You can use One Step Paint as a base color and you can use One Step Paint in Venetian Plaster for color. The affect that you get will be slightly different because the pigmentation is not in powder form and the One Step as the base may not "antique" the same. We would love to see your results! Please show us on the Amy Howard at Home Before and After page on Facebook!
