I like how the mechanics fit the theme, so winning a trick is thematically like taking on more responsibility in the Fellowship quest. Pippin doesn't want any responsibility, he's just there for the adventure. Frodo has to carry the most responsibility, and Gandalf just has to swing in there to save the day at least once
That hand was cut short because it was already lost, someone else took Sam's target card, so there was no point in playing it out. Edit: But you are right about the round which ends at 40:00!
I'm a huge fan of The Crew and have enjoyed my time with LotR:FotR:TtG A LOT. I haven't finished all the chapters nor played the free play mode but from what I've seen they are different from eachother that I have no problem owning both at all. I will say that you state repeatedly that LotR:FotR:TtG is a lighter game than The Crew and that hasn't been my experience at all. The Crew is fantastic at introducing someone to the genre whereas LotR:FotR:TtG requires a decent knowledge of general trick taking strategy: things I'm sure you are taking for granted with your experience. Nice play through, appreciate your thoughts and enjoyed watching!
In the last trick when Nikki's hand was 3 Forest cards, she was guaranteed to be able to play a Forest on the last trick, so she could have just laid down her hand to show that
gildor is male, he's the one that carries frodo on his horse to rivendell while the ringwraiths are chasing them (they changed this to arwen in the movies)

Yayyyyyy so excited y'all played! It gets pretty crazy, and i hope y'all dig it!!
I'm pretty sure you have to play out chapter 2 (33:51). If you can only win 1 or 2 tricks, you have to play all of the cards to make sure.
I was also wondering about this.
Pretty sure you're right. You have to play out the hand with Merry.
Correct. In several of the chapters, you must play through the entire hand to ensure all characters meet their goal. -WEM

@@Accatitippi No, I think I was talking about a hand that was "won", not lost.

Fun one!

18:21 That is not a shield. It is actually the doors to the houses in the Shire ;-) I think at least :-)
Yes, it's a round door :)
Mooby's! Can have an Udderly Delicious Moolkshake?
13:20, just randomly pull a card before shuffling the one Ring into the deck.
Really enjoyed the demo for this at PAXU. I will be pre-ordering it
the time stamp on start of the game is wrong.... should be 13:10 .... otherwise i really enjoyed nikki's teach this time !
I feel I have seen this video before. Was it reposted?
I think is was Watch It Played.
I may have missed something but are the ring cards not trump cards?
No, only the 1 Ring is a trump (and that is optional, with the player who played it choosing whether to win or not)
Thanks! @@DavidM707x
Sorry, im no english native speaker, i dont get why you lost chapter 2 at the end ? at around 30minsand 10 scs
Thanks !
How can you not accomplish your goals when nikki and mike can see each others cards? Or doesn't that matter?
Yeah, it's silly and it matters. They try not to seem them, but they will.. It's very hard for mike not to see them.
I did not look at her cards at all. Really. That would be against the spirit of the game.
