The problem with loss mitigation is that it hasn't been updated to keep up with the LP gain/loss increases they did a few patches back. So I would argue in lower elos like this it's worth more to play the game out because the odds of the enemy messing up the free win are really high
I believe so to a lesser extent, however even if not you have a 100% chance of -17 or so if you ff, or probably around 35% chance of winning (possibly more especially with their lead in this game) which averages to an approximate expected LP gain of 10 in the event you play it out@@aidanknox2430

Just wanted to comment again to give you some boost. I wanted to make it personal though. Iron Spectates is literally the reason I kept watching. I have watched literally every single one. I would listen to them in the background as I drove 500 miles home to family when I lived in another state. I'm glad you are doing them again, and hope you continue.
As far as 4v5s go, I remember a good one that I had a while back. I was Shyvana jungle. Our mid disconnected fairly early. I went Frostfire. I just kinda became the mid/jg and we never surrendered. I kinda love that team because I hate how surrender happy people are, so the fact they didn’t immediately surrender a 4v5 was great. If I remember right, I think I ended up having over 400 cs and kinda stomped. Because they knew I probably couldn’t gank much, because I was power farming my nearby camps (all but krugs and gromp) and mid waves. I didn’t have to play the back and forth with mid, just run to tower and grab farm and run back to jungle 😂. It was fun, I wish more games went that well
I seriously do not understand how Iron is just supposed to function as a rank. The Lee and shyvana obviously played pretty well, and they are the same rank as the annie who legitimately looked like this was her first game of ranked AND her first game on Annie. The spread between skill-levels on Iron is insane. You obviously have differences in other ELOs as well, but this is just pure insanity.
One issue is that a good handful of lower ELO players have decent mechanics, but poor macro - or decent macro, but poor mechanics. The other issue is that the mix of LP and MMR systems is just horrendous. I've seen people with positive winrates stuck in Bronze and Silver just because they lose more from a loss than they could ever gain from a win, so there's literally no way for them to progress unless they suddenly go into the 60% or 70% winrates.
Getting an iron top in my plat and diamond games is also a big riot middle finger to my lp gains. I asked the guy if he a smurf and he told me his que was about an hour which is crazy

I think the shyvana buying heartsteel isn't that bad, she already deals enough damage, and has an item that scales AP with HP. so going tank is a not entirely bad move

I actually, a couple years ago, when i was actively playing League, i had a game of support Rell where my ADC DC'd right after that game started, but we decided to play it out, for fun, and i was laning into a blitz/ezreal bot lane, and while i may not have won that lane, they certainly lost. Then we had a 3v5 contest for baron that we managed to wipe all 5 with and won the game off of that, and i still ride that high to this day.
idk why irons are so good at this game smh, i played the game for 4 years, and what i used to see in plat, happens in bronze and iron, thats a reason why i left the game, people went insanely good even at low level, even iron now too good for me
You can't be worse than Iron 4. A few guides videos and playing awake and sober helps a lot. A good friend of mine is stuck in Bronze 3, but when we play as 5 on gold level she isn't that bad. But to be fair, the macro plays and calls are all made by us. She has the mechanics, but not the game knowledge if a call is good or bad.
I am mostly an aram player and the absolute worst thing is people giving up after 8 minutes trying to surrender. Wait no that's wrong, the absolute worse are those people almost always being the ones saying "EZ" if we somehow win, the person that admitted to being French is now saying EZ, if I could smack them through the screen I would. The fucking audacity of league players man...
As another aram player, no the absolute worst thing is people not ffing an obvious skill difference between teams and then just going "its just aram bro". If its 8 min and and you've already lost inhib, just ff the game ffs. Just a waste of time at that point for a "for fun" game where you're 2-20 and someone votes no and then end the game 3-35. You going "its just aram bro" is so hypocritical when you refuse to just ff a game that doesnt matter on a stomp that bad and then think YOU arent the toxic one. Cause I just love staring at a gray screen, its just aram... bro.
I don't have a problem with people in a losing situation not forfeiting. Gives you more time to learn the champ, limits, macro and strategy. I do have a problem with someone doing their own thing ignoring any attempt to win if the team doesn't ff though. That low of an elo there's going to be mistakes made anyway, nothing's ever over until the nexus pops. But it does seem blue team has the more "experienced" players. But yeah, ahri reported for refusing to play role....
you should coach a iron team and have someone else coach another iron team and have them face off
