Cream, the first of the 60’s SuperGroups. A British three piece band with Ginger Baker on drums; Eric Clapton guitarist; and Jack Bruce on ‘Lead’ bass. If you want to know how important the bass is just listen to the album, ‘Live At The Fillmore’! RIP Jack and Ginger. You may have left us but your musical legacy will live forever.
Picked up the bass about 2 months ago and your videos are great! Finally getting to a point where I'm thinking about entire songs and not just the main line. Keep them coming!
I'm 67 years old from Canada Maritime Province. I took up the bass 60. I found your site. I have learned a lot. Can you bo some Tragically hip for Canadian Boys. Thank you keep on Rocking 🎸
Great bass lessons. Glad you use this format straight to the point and play which makes the songs easier to learn. Got me out of jam learning this song. Thanks. Greetings from Texas.
Another great post. I can't help but feel like I'm getting bass pointers from a young David Gilmour whenever I watch and learn from your posts, lol. Keep up the brilliant work!
Good stuff, man! Thank you! I had to brush up for a gig tonight and this helped a lot, so thank you for real. I don't know why but I tend to cut the verse exactly in half by length. I guess I'm just impatient hahaha Saw the flag. I grew up in Massachusetts (currently living in Rhode Island) but I was born in El Paso. 🖖
Power Trio Valhalla! RIP: Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. Nobody did BIG bass and drums like they did. With the possible exception of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Hey bro, I just wanna thank you so much for this video! I chose this song for my solo performance and without this video I would not have done very well 😅. Thx man! Keep up this great work 👍
Hi samboat I just started playing bass 10 months ago ago I can play about 10 songs Right now do you think this is an easy one to learn on? Thanks Joe 😎
Great cover and tab bro! I am learning this cover on guitar and bass for one of my bands right now. Good song. Great job. It took me a sec to realize that was a five string lol. Those are better IMO. Liked and Subbed. Look forward to seeing more.
Thank you! I’m glad I could help you learn it for your band. This 5 string is my favorite, but I don’t get to use it as often as I’d like, so sometimes I pull it out just cuz I want to
Please help, I am relatively new to reading symbols. What is that symbol with the arrow pointing up with 1/4 over it telling me to do? My guess is that it is saying to bend the string up? Thank you for your work sir!
Hi, I turn the amp up for this one....I'v seen more Summers then I care to mention and played this in our teenage band back in 60's so memories come flooding back......regret not so much of the sex, drugs n rocknroll.....in fact I can't remember any of those happening..🤣😂.but playing in that band was the greatest .....🎸🧐👍
Love the content of your work. Can you tell me what you are thinking when you move your left hand. Are you thinking 3 3 55 5 55 55 55. something like that?
Yeah, I think like that in the beginning and then once the song gets ingrained, then I start to think more about where my hand should be and what finger I should use, rather than the fret itself
i really love your videos!! they really help me practice and improve!!! have you ever thought of covering the song "my way soon" by greta van fleet? that'd be fantastic!! x
Brilliant!! Thank you so much for this. I’m currently struggling away with White Room by Cream (the runs are really tricky 😳), but I’ll dabble with this one in between, so I don’t drive myself nuts with frustration 🤗 Question: Could you have a stab at Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder? My music teacher (my nephew), asked me to pick a song that I thought would be impossible to do and work towards that, so picked Sir Duke 😧🤪
Love your videos. Tabs are large and super easy to follow! Thank you!! Is there any way you might do videos for "Tic Tok Polka" or "Who Stole the Keeshka" or "Pennsylvania Polka" from Frankie Yankovic? Once you hear the songs, you'll see why I smile every time they play.

It’s very important indeed. May they both rest in peace and their legacy live on

Thanks for the great example! Really easy to follow and fun to play!😊
Considered by many to be the first metal guitar riff. I subscribed as soon as I watched this lesson. Great teaching tool for beginners like myself.
Excellent work and interpretation as always... Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina!!!

Fantastic song and performance, my friend !! ♫
Thank you!
I like jamming this in a lower register. It turns into such a heavy riff.

Yes, it means to bend the string up 1/4 of a step!
