@@JohnPaulMusicUK It works! Thank you John Paul! Have been learning a tremendous amount of navigation of rc600 from you. Coming from a 300 I had no idea how much more advanced it is. Couldn't do it without you
Perfect timing, just looked for a little midi controler to trigger the kit within rc600. Thank You! Can You assign these 360knobs to be controlling loop or master level?
Yes. It’s CC#’s so you can instead just change the TempoPad to be on a different midi channel (channel 10 is where the drums are) and then use assigns to each button for what you want to achieve.
Hi Paul, thanks for another great video. My solution to get my own custom rhythm beats is to just programme my patterns into my drum machine, then record the drum pattern as audio, into one of the tracks of the RC-505 MK2, just as i would my electric guitar or keyboard. There are some advantages to doing it this way, 1. You don't have to do any menu diving on the RC 2. No additional software required 3. You can quantise your drum pattern in the drum machine before recording into your RC. 4. You can still add fills from the inbuilt RC drum sounds of the RC using the pads on the drum machine.
Hey Ryan. So the answer is yes. You would have to use an assign and one of the options for assign is track (1-6) pan. 👌 you could assign that to the dials 👍🏻
@@JohnPaulMusicUK Ah ok, thank you. If I used this to control drums on an ipad, what's the best way to get the sound into an RC 505 or a 600? Aux line out from the headphones jack?
Hi man. Love your content. Do have idea how to connect midi boss rc600 to korg kaosilator pro, so I can set tempo from my boss rc600 ? Thanks for help 😄
Send the good old midi 5 pin din from the out of the RC-600 to the in of the Korg. Make sure that the Korg internal tempo / sync system is switched to midi (you’ll have to figure that bit out) and the RC-600 should be on Midi Auto and Sync On by default. 👌
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 1st, can you record a built in drum rhythm from the rc 600 on one track? On a second track using the tempopad that your showing here to add some added percussion? Last can you mix between the two, play the one track with the built-in rhythm then switch to the percussion you added and save all of this as 1 song.
So.. basically yes to everything! Once you switch over to make the RC-600 listen to the drums and rhythm section as a recordable loop, it’s a yea to all your questions. One work of warning regarding the drums. It’s a high possibility that you may overdub too much by accident and can get some serious phasing happening. Be careful not to overdub the same drum sound. But yes. Record a loop of rhythm and record a percussion. No problem. 👍🏻
@@JohnPaulMusicUK I'm trying to downsize also. I run everything into a mixer, then into a rc 300. Plus an Alexis pro pad. What are your thoughts about getting rid of the mixer and run everthing into the rc 600 plus get the drum pad your talking about.

Good question and the answer is no, not for rhythm. The reason is the Sheeran X has no internal midi sounds for rhythm. Therefore there is technically nothing to play through it. However, you can connect it to the looper x for midi commands to control other things, like controls you would normally have to to into the second pedal screen for or changing memories. This is cause this is a Midi pad and can send the midi controls to the X to change things. Hope that makes sense and helps.
I totally get that!! Hence the small footprint (as much as I can), the wireless connectivity and weight! I’m not 21 anymore and lugging all that equipment takes it’s toll!
@@JohnPaulMusicUK yea man I hear you I’m 62 now ha ha and back is buggered after each gig. But I love it. I use a big Bose L1 32 and Sub so apart from that my board must be light and little plug in as possible 🤣🤣
I think I'll sell my spd and just get this anyway but God I've never used midi... This should be interesting and I so... Hope it controls the tempo with one of those knobs... please make a video on how to set that up!
Any chance the Synido could work on the RC-500 this same way? (PS -- I have just signed up for your RC-600 online course :-) , I have the synido pad and an rc-500 ) ....looking at RC-500 and synido for those 30 second setups at open mics.
This looks great! If it had faders or knobs so I could also change the volume of all of my 6 RC-600 tracks quickly and accurately, then I would buy it in a heartbeat. Guitar&vocal wise it would finally bridge the gap between RC-505 and RC-600. Something affordable that has pads and faders and isn't a whole keyboard would be great... perhaps I should've gone for RC-505 and a foot-controller instead, but I would've lost the 6th track.
This is interesting as I have met a lot of musicians who have the RC-600 and the first thing they want.. is what the RC-505 gives them. Volume control in each track. The simplest way to achieve this with the 600 is to use the Korg nanoKontrol2 with usb cable straight into the USB-B slot of the 600. Then program that up.
Donner makes the starry pad, which is quite similar, including in price. It has two faders and two knobs tho so you're still not covering all tracks. I'm not familiar with this looper but an arturia beat step has 16 knobs and 16 pads and is a product I've heard lots of good stuff about. It's almost the same price too. I own a couple pieces of arturia gear and they're quality
For what it's worth, I tried plugging a Novation Launchkey 49 that I had into my RC600 and it didn't work. I didn't really expect it to, but when I'll finally buy nanoKontrol2 I will make sure to report back. I'd also like to take this opportunity and say thank you John for your advice
Hi John Paul I love your videos by the way. Stupid question here but do you need to have your computer connected to the drum machine to get the sounds in the first place? I connected mine to a power source and then to the RC 600 but I am getting no sound from it? I then thought hang on a minute surely you need to have the software to drive the actual buttons in the first place? How does that bit of it work
Hey 👋 So no. The rc-600 is the ‘computer’ in this instance. The drum sounds are internal to the RC-600 and you are triggering them. Make sure the pad and the RC-600 are on the same MIDI channel for transmitting and receiving drums, normally channel 10 but the pad probably with be set to channel 1 by default. Hope that helps.
JP, thanks a lot for your Videos! They really help me a lot!!! I have a question. I want to set up a piano sustain pedal as a stomp box by connecting it via Ext Input and assigning a base drum sound. However I failed so far. I can only start/stop a rythm, but not a single base drum. Can you please help me on that? ❤
So it’s a yes and then a no. The rhythm track is on midi channel 10 so as long as you plug it in, then yes you can play the RC-5’s drums.. however.. there isn’t a way internally to send the rhythm track to the looper to be recorded as a loop. One of the limitations of the RC-5 I’m afraid. Rhythm Loop routing is available on the RC-500 and above. However you could still play them with an external device. 👍🏻
Perhaps it has been asked but i use the click track for looping but...if i used something like this for drum sounds i wouldn't be able to use both at same time do you know? Thabks for all your videos.
Very nice! Question: is it somehow possible to quantize the recorded drums? To make sure that the notes are placed exactly on or 16th / 8th notes for instance?
Just a quick unrelated question. I'm buying an RC-600 and I have some switches lying around. I have a Tascam triple switch and a Digitech triple switch which is for "The Trio" band simulator. My question is "Can I experiment to see if these will work with the RC-600 switch inputs or am I risking problems?"
hey that’s awesome! no there shouldn’t be and risk issues. if they behave like RC6 or 7 pedals then you should be good but don’t think you’ll get more than 2 buttons to work.. keep me posted thou. if they run of CC numbers then you’ll have to assign them. I just hooked up my worlde ORCA48 pad to the drum kits on the 600 thanks to you. However, I have plenty of sounds but NO SNARE OR KICK DRUM of ANY KIT? Is that just me or anyone else missing those?
I have the Alesis Strike multipad and i have the IK Uno Drum machine. I found the IK Uno Drum machine really good and so easy to use . Yesterday i received my Boss RC600 now i just need to figure out how it works and how can i connect this two drum machines, guitars , synthesizer Korg microkorg xl, Piano korg Sp170s and microphone to my Boss RC600. It seems to me this Synido drum machino is very similar concept to the IK Uno Drum
So this is true.. similar concept. Wow, I would be looking at a piece of paper and a pen and drawing it all out. Depends how you want to control things. Wether different things need to be on their own midi channel or not and then the routing of the audio. Why two drum machines if I may ask?
@@JohnPaulMusicUK The Alesis Strike multipad because i wanted save space in my music room and the IK Uno Drum was because portability and also simplicity with great sound. Also in both i had a great price sale that i couldn't let pass . I received yesterday my Boss RC600 and i just realised that is not simple easy and straight forwards to use . You so right , i need a paper to write dow this all process of connect all instruments, i will need time and lots of patience . I wouldn't connect both drum machines at same time . I was looking yesterday how i could connect one of the drum machine, the piano and synthesizer, at same time , as all use midi connection , and i found the midi cable 5 pin to 1/4 mono jack cable probably be something can work . This way i could have one single instrument sign to his own track . Yesterday i was able to connect my guitar and Alesis Strike Multipad by midi but this i couldn't record any loop with , only with the guitar . I was so excited till I realised i couldn't loop , not sure if is because i need to assign track/foot switch to each instrument i want. I have the Boss RC2 and it was already dificult to me to understand and for that reazon i have it in the shelve . I Brought the TC Electronic Plethora X5 and is the most simple and intuitive pedal i ever owned , the looper is just so easy to use , i never read the manual at all to use this pedal . Now the Boss is diferent , i will need time and time and patience for what i can see. I been watching your videos they are great and well explained , is going to help me to understand this pedal . I see many videos peoplo playing multi instruments (guitar, bass , piano, synthesizer ,drum machine and microphone) with the Boss RC600 but couldn't find any tutorial how to connect them to the looper. Looking at the video publicity from Boss and watch someone playing all those instruments into to the Boss RC600, it looks like a easy thing assemble . Would be great if in the future you could make a video tutorial explaining all this process I
No problem. 👍🏻 Yeah your gonna have to spend some time with it. Remember midi is for sending signals when it comes to the RC-600. It doesn’t record midi as a loop. So.. your homework.. Don’t see why not. Make sure you have the right cc numbers on the pads and either set the launch key to midi channel 10 or change the RC-600 midi rhythm channel to whatever the launch key is on. Hope that makes sense.
are you able to hook the rc600 up to the Synido MIDI Pad Beat Maker Machine with 64 Velocity Sensitive RGB Pads, Portable MIDI Controller 8 as well? i know it doesn't have all the tweakers and knobs that this cheaper one has, but i wanted more options with the upgraded one.
Great video! Two questions: Where are you putting your iPad now? Second, I like the Handsonic because you can switch kits with the twist of a knob. Do you know if there is a way to access multiple kits quickly? Thanks!
That’s cool regarding the handsonic. So to answer Q1, I’m looking to use my iPhone instead for lyrics as the iPad is too big (12.9) and I have an IK iPhone holder. For the second question, yes you could do this with one of the dials on the TempoPAD and assign it to ‘RHYTHM KIT’ to switch kits. 👍🏻 quite useful to switch between a full studio kit and percussion. 😊
Can I assign a knob to control the tempo on my rc-600? And maybe a different knob for current track volume? I'm having issues with upgrading from the rc 300 and it's driving me mad!
Yes you can. 👍🏻 It’s a midi controller and you would need to use an assign. Thanks for the good info, so say theoretically I wanted to play a guitar, sing, and play the tempo pad to do a looping performance covering almost all parts of a song (similar to ed Sheeran) would something like this work?
Yes. In this scenario the TempoPad is controlling the midi of the drums on the Boss RC-600 Loop station but if you wanted to trigger sounds that are different, you would need something plugged up to it like a midi based plugin or hardware.. but yes. 👍🏻
When recording a rhythm loop, in the way described in this video, will enabling the Quantize option help lock that rhythm loop to the internal tempo of the rc600 or does Quantize only apply to built in rhythms? Or, am I totally confused about how Quantize works 😂.
Quantise is to sync the length of the loop to a specific timing or to another loop. It won’t quantise the rhythm if you play out of time as it’s still audio being recorded in. It’s simply there to nudge the recording from when you stomp the pedal to be bang on with the first loop you put down. Hope that makes sense?
Awesome thanks! Use 505 now, so have to figure out the settings for that - but considering the 600 - does anyone know if you can load songs from 505 directly into the 600 - you would have different track numbers 5 vs 6, different FX and probably even drum sets... but wondering if it is even possible to do...
if the sounds are faint then you might have to adjust the velocity curve on your pads. you can set the rhythm part of the rc-600 as recordable to the loops.
@@JohnPaulMusicUK i think recording rc 600 rhythm is not possible. Midi Controller uses the drum kits in rc 600 which are not possible to record because midi controller is connected to rc 600 via 5 pin midi which rc 600 does not recognize as input for recording.
Just got my RC-600, and I'm beyond overwhelmed. These videos are super helpful! Ive never been great with learning systems. Maybe Im missing someone in previous comments, but Im assuming there is a way to have one track assigned to the midi controller for the drum kit and it only record/dub on that one specific track...allowing me to loop guitar on the other available tracks?
Hey 👋 Glad the videos are helping. To answer your question, yes you can allow the drums (rhythm) to be recorded onto the loops and you can dictate how through routing. 👍🏻 Checkout my course on the RC-600 here: www.johnpaulmusic.co.uk/boss-rc-600-course-page Put the word ‘subscriber’ in the checkout page 😉
Ooh.. John, I just thought of another possibility. I know it is possible to create your own internal drum patterns for the RC 600. Does this mean it is also possible for the RC-600 to send those midi patterns out to an external drum machine? Then it would be possible to use whatever drum kit/samples one wishes while retaining the floor-based operation..
Hi John Paul! Loving your videos. I do have a question. I have the AKAI LPD8 MIDI controller. I am able to control my loop volumes via CC messages, but I want to be able to use the pads just as you are in this video. Is it plug and play after you change the midi channel? I’ve tried that on my rig and it doesn’t work, plus it messes up my CC volume controls as well. Should I be setting the pads to certain note messages than the default? I greatly appreciate some insight into this. I was trying hard for a while and gave up, but would love to take a crack at it again. Thank you!
Hey 👋 Firstly thank you for the kind words. Secondly it’s might all be about which notes are being triggered. You might have to set it to go down an octave or two. The drums are always set at the bottom half of a keyboard and if the LPD8 is triggering in the middle (for example C4 and above) then that might be why. Make sure the LPD8 is on midi channel 10 and so is the RC-600. In this next video, I go over programming it up. Take this and cross reference with your own. Hope it helps. ua-cam.com/video/72I6xfKSxuA/v-deo.htmlsi=IA_0uki-RYkLxcsa
@@JohnPaulMusicUKI bought the Syndio using your coupon, just wondering, do I still need to get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm boss midi cable to connect it to my rc500?

hey! thank you for video! 1. hope it will work with my Alesis perc pad. it has 5 pin midi out. So you just plug your midi out to midi in in looper? 2. From separate track from Rc600 or maybe but for it spdsx pro also for good drumming. please help me! do you have any videos about it? thanks a lot
To answer the first question. Yes. Second: If you want just do backing tracks maybe have a look at the iduro P1 : idoru.live It can take split wav stems and you can mix them but in a really cool form factor. If you want to loop as well, then it’s the RC-600. Have a think 🤔
Certainly. You can send out a different midi channel and in on a different channel if you wish. I don’t use OnSong myself but if OnSong can be one one midi channel and the drum pad and rhythm section can be on another midi channel, you are onto a winner. 👍🏻
@@JohnPaulMusicUK John, thank you however, I think the issue for me is that my iPad has a US cord going directly into the USB port on the RC 600, I’m not sure how I would get the USB from the drum machine into the already occupied port on the RC 600.
Yes. You need the following: 1x USB-B to USB-A cable 1x Apple’s USB3 Camera connection adapter. 👍🏻 The RC-600 will be in ‘generic’ USB mode by default and you can use in this way as a 2in / 2Out audio interface.
@@JohnPaulMusicUK John, Thank you so much for the reply! I have the adapter and cord you mention. Unfortunately after trying for the last few days I’m not able to get it to connect with my iPhone. It’s like the iPhone doesn’t recognize it. I tried in both Generic and Vendor mode. Just to confirm you’re saying I should be in Generic mode? I know it’s asking a lot but do you think you might ever make a video stepping thru connecting the Boss RC-600 to an iPhone?
This is actually a video I was planning on doing but it looks like it’s just gone up in the list. Yes keep it in vendor mode. Are you trying to video record or live stream? What apps are you trying to use it with?
@@JohnPaulMusicUK Oh, Vendor mode you say? I have been trying but it’s in Generic mode. I will switch it to Vendor mode now! I am trying to record a video with the built in Camera app, I want to record an original song acoustic guitar+vocals and I’ve never recorded anything before.
@@JohnPaulMusicUK UPDATE: Wow, I finally got it to work, and how irritating the process was. Apparently the Boss only supports 2in-2out for the generic mode (iPhone) or 8in-8out for the vendor mode (connecting to a laptop). I was unaware of this and since I had 3inputs connected it simply doesn’t output anything at all in the generic mode. It’s kind of silly because it doesn’t even tell you that it’s not working due to having 3 input plugged in. So for the last two weeks I was trying to get it to work I had my keyboard, guitar, and a microphone all input into the Boss RC-600, all whilst completely unaware that this would make it not output anything at all. So by merely unplugging my keyboard, everything works now. This is definitely some info you ought to include in your upcoming video.

Paul, does the Rc 600 have a built-in eq per input channel so I can adjust bass, mid and highs? (say vocals in one Channel, guitar in second input, sax in another) I'm going into a mixer then into a rc 300.
I got the same midi controller as you suggested. Went though step by step and it works except.. 1- each time I loop on a different track the drum gets a doublong sound. #2. When I use the midi controller and record a drum sound on a loop it records it but as soon as I hit the record/play on that loop it actives the reverse. Any suggestions?
Oooh both of those sound bizarre. So check you haven’t got any Track FX assigned to the same midi CC number an and check the midi port channel for any conflicting midi messages.
Hi John, the reverse was my fault, I saved it. Is it possible to have a remote fs 6 pedal to turn off and on the rythem button. (Below the MENU button) that way with I can use the midi controller for the individual drum sounds plus active a built in drum rythem off and on. I can thank you enough for your help. This rc 600 is a beast, alot to learn and you are the man. Thank you
I plugged my keyboard to rc 600 input 1, and connected rc 600 to computer via usb. Selected input and output device as rc 600 in ableton. But ableton does not recognize my keyboard as midi controller. Bur ableton takes the midi notes from my keyboard when I connect it directly to computer via usb, but latency is too high. That is why I tried to use rc 600 as audio interface, but couldn't make it work. Any insights?
Hey John, your vids are always so helpful mate! Do you know how to get one in the UK? And do you think the MPK mini could do a similar thing with its strike pads? (I want to steal you're idea, but have some crapy keyboard sounds at my disposal aswell 😂) Thanks again man
Hey Bryan. Firstly here is the UK link for the TempoPAD : amzn.to/455KNDn But secondly yes, the MPK mini will do it. Just need to figure out the CC numbers.
Hello there! Is there a way to turn off input monitoring on the RC600 Im sending logic audio to my boss RC600 out of an audio interface output and into inst 2. I have no issues with that, i have the output set correctly on my interface and I'm able to record sound onto the boss. However I'm trying to get rid of the input monitoring. Is there a way that i can turn off the input sound on the boss and only hear the track after its been recorded? Id like to be able to loop drums and what not from logic but currently when i do that i hear the drum vst as well as the input from the boss in logic. would be great to just hear the vst while recording on the boss, then when the loop begins i hear the loop. does that make sense? Hopefully you can help!
Yes. You will just have to go into MENU> OUTPUT>INPUT/RHYTHM>INPUT THRU and turn it from On to off. Now you will only hear the recordings of the loops and not the guitar coming through the looper.
Hi J.P thanks for sharing, helpful as always! I see it works with rc 500 as well, but wondering what settings i need to configure on the rc 500? I have the Donner Starrypad which has midi out, however cant seem to get it to work?
The buttons under the knobs are not usable for the performance live, many times you miss click, got to put a LOT pressure and even there in the loop urge routine... sad, the pads are Awesome, delicius I may say
@@yago8672I've noticed this too... Even trying to tap tempo is an adventure. Using something like rhythm start is so touchy. I am not sure if I got a bad one or it's just due to design issues
ahhh this is cool, but I wish it was recording midi instead - into a new user rhythm, and with some kind of quantize. would reduce mistakes... but I guess.. I could just get better ;-)

There are some advantages to doing it this way,
1. You don't have to do any menu diving on the RC
2. No additional software required
3. You can quantise your drum pattern in the drum machine before recording into your RC.
4. You can still add fills from the inbuilt RC drum sounds of the RC using the pads on the drum machine.
That’s fair. Cool idea. This setup is for adding things in live I suppose but boy it would be good to quantise! 🤣
Great vid mate! Made me think of something - sending a note on/note off message from MC6 / MC6 pro to target the kick drum sound to make a fake stomp!

Great tutorial. I wonder if this tutorial will also work with Launchpad Pro Mk3 (it's basically a midi controller - as same as TempoPAD)?
If you can get midi notes (which I’m sure you can) then yes! 👍
Looks cool. Can you by chance pan the various sounds (kick/snare/etc...) to the left / right? I'm guessing not... but maybe with this there is?
Hey Ryan.
So the answer is yes. You would have to use an assign and one of the options for assign is track (1-6) pan. 👌 you could assign that to the dials 👍🏻
Are those beats built in to the pad?
No. The sounds are all coming from the RC-600. The pad is a midi controller with no internal sounds of its own.
@@JohnPaulMusicUK Ah ok, thank you. If I used this to control drums on an ipad, what's the best way to get the sound into an RC 505 or a 600? Aux line out from the headphones jack?
Hi JohnPaul, Tanks for your videos! Great information there. I couldn't parse all question here so I'm trying. Would this also work with BOSS RC-10R ?

You’re my hero! 🤩
I assume there’s no way to do the same with RC300, right?
That’s a damn fine question.

Have you tried to use this with the headrush looperboard?
Not yet, no.
Is this useable with the sheeran x?
Good question and the answer is no, not for rhythm. The reason is the Sheeran X has no internal midi sounds for rhythm. Therefore there is technically nothing to play through it.
However, you can connect it to the looper x for midi commands to control other things, like controls you would normally have to to into the second pedal screen for or changing memories.
This is cause this is a Midi pad and can send the midi controls to the X to change things.
Hope that makes sense and helps.

Yes and yes.
Would this work with a notation launchpad pro mk3? As I already have one… lol😊
Yes. As long is it’s supplying the CC numbers to tell the RC-600 which ones to press. 👍🏻
@@JohnPaulMusicUK woah, wait does that mean I could use the midi in/out to certain equipment and then get even more control by using USB B equipment?

How does that bit of it work
Hey 👋
So no.
Since the MIDI cable is short, I'm assuming you used some kind of MIDI extension to get to the looper? If so, what was it?
It comes with a MIDI adapter and then just used a normal midi cable. 👍🏻

I have a question. I want to set up a piano sustain pedal as a stomp box by connecting it via Ext Input and assigning a base drum sound. However I failed so far. I can only start/stop a rythm, but not a single base drum. Can you please help me on that? ❤
Hi JP! Just a quick question :O is it possible to do this on the RC-5 and also record it as a loop?
So it’s a yes and then a no.
The rhythm track is on midi channel 10 so as long as you plug it in, then yes you can play the RC-5’s drums.. however.. there isn’t a way internally to send the rhythm track to the looper to be recorded as a loop. One of the limitations of the RC-5 I’m afraid. Rhythm Loop routing is available on the RC-500 and above.
However you could still play them with an external device. 👍🏻

no there shouldn’t be and risk issues. if they behave like RC6 or 7 pedals then you should be good but don’t think you’ll get more than 2 buttons to work.. keep me posted thou. if they run of CC numbers then you’ll have to assign them.

@@JohnPaulMusicUK
The Alesis Strike multipad because i wanted save space in my music room and the IK Uno Drum was because portability and also simplicity with great sound.

How do i record midi drums input in rc 600? I tried to record midi drums input, but rc600 records barely audible faint sounds.
if the sounds are faint then you might have to adjust the velocity curve on your pads.
you can set the rhythm part of the rc-600 as recordable to the loops.
@@JohnPaulMusicUK i think recording rc 600 rhythm is not possible. Midi Controller uses the drum kits in rc 600 which are not possible to record because midi controller is connected to rc 600 via 5 pin midi which rc 600 does not recognize as input for recording.

But this option gives you more pads and some people don’t want a keyboard. It’s just a good alternative.
Thank you!
Hey 👋
Firstly thank you for the kind words.

Does anyone know what setting a adjust on the rc600 to allow the Alesis SR16 to trigger drums when I go to record a loop? It was working and then I must have messed with some settings. Very new to the RC 600 I just want my drums to start when I press the loop button please help
Will this work with an RC300?
Does this connection work for the RC 500? If so, how?
Thanks for tht! i just go the pad but cant manage to make it work with mY RC600 :( i dont think the Midi settings of the loopstation have changed, even on the second page of the midi settings of the RC600. If someone could help, it might be a samll thing im not figuring out
Can you help me I have a Donner midi it doesn't seem to work
Whatever you say JP i will buy it. 😂
🤣
hello ! I wanted to see if you could help me, I follow all the steps but it doesn't record the rhythm in the loop, has it happened to anyone? help me please...
Will this work with the rc300
It should. Honestly can’t remember if you can play the drums via midi on the RC-300 but if you can then yes it will. 👌
Paul, does the Rc 600 have a built-in eq per input channel so I can adjust bass, mid and highs? (say vocals in one Channel, guitar in second input, sax in another) I'm going into a mixer then into a rc 300.
Yes is does. You can adjust every input and output if you wish. 👍🏻 😊
(I want to steal you're idea, but have some crapy keyboard sounds at my disposal aswell 😂)
Thanks again man
Hey Bryan. Firstly here is the UK link for the TempoPAD : amzn.to/455KNDn
But secondly yes, the MPK mini will do it. Just need to figure out the CC numbers.
Hello there! Is there a way to turn off input monitoring on the RC600
Im sending logic audio to my boss RC600 out of an audio interface output and into inst 2.
Thanks!
Hi J.P thanks for sharing, helpful as always! I see it works with rc 500 as well, but wondering what settings i need to configure on the rc 500? I have the Donner Starrypad which has midi out, however cant seem to get it to work?
Just make sure it’s in a CC MODE playing notes and then on channel 10 for midi and drop the octaves down till you find them. 👍🏻
Cannot for the life of me figure out how to put the synido on midi channel 10… anyone else been able to figure it out?

Similar setup with a Circuit Tracks. Gives you all of the RC600 sounds on a groovebox.
Exactly. 👍🏻
Why can't they make one with modern presets including alternative
Great thing with the RC-600 is that you can make your own! 👍🏻 😊

Just bought one, waaayyyy cheeaper that a standalone, or a drum pad.
That’s great 😃
The buttons under the knobs are not usable for the performance live, many times you miss click, got to put a LOT pressure and even there in the loop urge routine... sad, the pads are Awesome, delicius I may say
@@yago8672I've noticed this too... Even trying to tap tempo is an adventure. Using something like rhythm start is so touchy. I am not sure if I got a bad one or it's just due to design issues
No aftertouch?
No but adjustable velocity curves with the software.
ahhh this is cool, but I wish it was recording midi instead - into a new user rhythm, and with some kind of quantize. would reduce mistakes... but I guess.. I could just get better ;-)
Ah man, I wish I would have seen this before I dropped the money for the handsonic😢
Yeah.. sorry.
