I actually switched off moonlit set for fusion bonus and my Jiyan hits 3* 1.3k. I did run Heron before, but see a tremendous damage differential with having inferno rider on. Hitting Verina E>Resonance Liberation> intro Mortefi>Resonance Libertaion>E> Intro Jiyan into Jiyan’s Liberation and having the level 70 stacks the Marcato damage 1.5% every 0.35s. It’s a perfect timer off Jiyan’s resonance liberation. Then you have additional damage with Mortefi when on field as well. Fusion Sonata Effect> Moonlit
@@RosesPapa I'm sorry, but who the heck gets a 5* weapon for a sub DPS, unless you also use Chixia as a main DPS? Obviously if you can use a 5* option, you will, but normally the choice is between 4* options for sub DPS characters, while 5* weapons are reserved for the 2nd/third team main DPS units. That's why I was curious that Cadenza isn't even mentioned, unlike other 4* options. Sure, it has a relatively long cooldown, but it's mainly used for energy regen substat, passive is just a nice bonus as far as I'm concerned. And if you have S4 Mortefi, your ultimate lasts almost 20 seconds anyway, so it lines up relatively well.

I got 6 chixias, 5 mortefis and 3 danjins. C4 mortefi is pretty good and is what I was initially hoping for. Danjin is really good but not currently what I want. And chixia... she's extra.
The best thing is that he is great for the overworld grind even if you are using Calcharo/Havoc rover. Gunner + inferno rider's bike + decent dmg + tall
I hope you'll make a comprehemsive Jianxin guide soon. She was my first 5 star, and I got her twice more since, so I really want to use her to the fullest. I've seen her being rated higher in recent tier lists in support role, but it's never explained how to use her properly.
I do intro skill into him, normal a few times to get his forte full, do the forte skill, then immediately do resonance skill, then do normals to fill up forte bar quick, then another forte skill, echo, burst, switch to Jiyan. This is the fastest way for me to get his concerto energy charged
Tip for pulling him and Yinlin: Both banners will be up so build pity on Jiyan banner, pull Yinlin when you're close to pity, then go back to Jiyan banner to build pity for future rate up.

One thing nobody seems to know yet.. how is the marcato damage calculated? Does mortefi's crit rate/dmg affect the marcato hits or just his auto attacks? Does marcato want more atk%, fusion% or liberation dmg%? Or is it affected by the stats of the on-field attacker?
It's like any other stat. It's liberation damage so liberation damage bonus makes it stronger. It scales off attack and crit, which is buffed by fusion damage bonus. It's literally the same as any other skill from any other character

As noted in the disclaimer text, I meant ER weapons that have offensive properties too, like offensive passive etc. Cadenza has ER but is a terrible option for dmg

The dmg distribution chart in the segment ranks the talents in terms of how much they impact the dmg, in the vid. Liberation is definitely #1, but leveling up a bit of everything helps too

I try to play Jiyan, my Mortefi deals more damage. I want to play Jianxin, her best team has Mortefi. I want to play Lingyang, Rover, they both want Mortefi. He grabs me by the throat. I craft for him. I pull for him. I give him Pistols of Voyager. He isn't satisfied. I pull Cadenza "I don't need this much er" He tells me. "Give me more field time." He grabs Verina and forces her to throw herself off enemies. "You just need to funnel me more. I can deal more damage with Static Mist." I can't pull for Static Mist, I don't have enough Asterites. He grabs my credit card. It declines. "Lets do this another way." He charges his forte meter. He says "Burn to ashes." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure, no downtime fusion damage. What a cruel world.
Saw a lot of people overhype Mortefi, and I couldn't understand why. I thought that he can be easily powercrept, since all he does is off field damage and give a niche buff. Yinlin already powercreeps him in the off-field damage department, and any 5* limited aero buffer would powercreep him for Jiyan in the future. People need to adjust away from Genshin comparisons.
I think i agree that he is being overhyped, is he a good unit? Of course, but is he the best? Well, no. He just lucky that the first limited dps is gain so much benefit from his buff, cause except Jiyan i don't think any other meta dps units want his buff. Encore, lingyang , and even calcharo want Sanhua over him, and Havoc rover already have danjin😂

Why isn't Cadenza considered as a weapon? It's a 4 star weapon with energy regeneration main stat.

Have you tried Mortify ult + Jianxin shield charge? Its like fireworks lmao

Jiyans is better for him, yinlins has more general value however with a better passive that fits everybody
