Initially I felt that too (I have a r3). But tbh, in Quests and BGs, but tbh, you don't need to worry too much. Just do heavies naturally, and rmmbr u can always parry if u must

Long fights, Mangog synergy. You pause furies by using heavy (Cost 1 fury). But if you punish a special attack with heavy, no cost
