  • This video shows you how to quickly install an anchor for a Tara Safety Cover. The anchor allows you to attach the cover to the decking. Being able to attach the cover correctly to the deck using the strong brass anchors is necessary in order to have a secure safety cover. The placement of the anchors is crucial as the safety cover needs to be drum tight once everything is fastened and attached.

What kind of adhesive can you use if the anchor is loose in the hole? Construction adhesive?

If you want to know how to make it yourself, just look for woodprix instructions.

Could you please tell me how many drill bits you neededo drill all the holes for the anchors?

the pool dealers just use one drill bit. Although, depending on how big the job is, they may have two people drilling at the same time. Just one drill bit gets the job done though!

you can screw the anchor flat with surface or completely remove the head and store it

the anchors during season actually get get screwed down under the cement level so there isnt any stubbing of toes going on! Then when it comes time to put the cover back on the anchors get screwed back up above cement level to hold the springs in place!

A 3/4" drill bit is what you need to drill the holes for the anchors.

Hi Ben you use a 3/4" drill bit and you drill just far enough down to secure in the anchor
Keep in mind that during the off-season you will want to be able to screw down those anchors so you wont be stubbing your toes!

Ben, I bought ( from eBay) a Bosch Bulldog rotary hammer drill and the Bosch 18 inch long 3/4 drill bit and it worked great!
