We ordered this boat two days ago and it will take months before she is ready, but I can't wait! Definitely an upgrade from our 26" cabin cruiser, excited for this. We did get the invertor option with the four batteries so we don't have to deal with a generator.
This is the best review I've seen. I just checked out a NC795 today as I am in the market for a new boat. But this is just absolutely beautiful and I am not sure about 795 anymore 😃
@@SundanceYachts I think overall the size are not much different but the cabin windows in 895 just gave it a much higher end/luxury yacht look. If it came with one engine instead of two, I think the price would be more reasonable for me but we will see after I build it with the specs.
Great walk trough Nick. The roof rack looks very nice. Wish we had the overhead cabinets in the fwd stateroom. Is that faucet capable of shower pressure and spray? Thank you
Hi Nick, Excellent Review! With the lack in current boat show events, this is a great tool for buyers to leverage! Do you happen to have any boat comparison videos? I'm particularly interested in seeing a side by side comp between the Jeaneau NC 795 & the Cutwater 24 Coupe. Being that these two boats are trailer capable, it would be ideal to see them parked on trailers side by side to truly understand the size difference as they both are listed as 24' boats but their LOA is very different. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Nick! Glad you're enjoying these videos! We haven't done a video on the 795 or C-24 yet although they're both on the short list to do. I like the comparison idea! I'll see if we can make that happen. One challenge right now is boat availability (we're sold out of most models including those two).
Thank you for the compliment on the review! Glad you enjoyed. We have a 1-2 knot current on the river where we did the performance test so we have to run both directions to get an accurate speed through water measurement. The pitot tube reading in this case was very close but isn't always accurate (and isn't always installed depending on boat model). Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to talk faster next time through that part 😁 - Nick @ Sundance
Both great boats! I personally prefer the 895 but depending on your style preferences and needs one or the other might be a better fit. I definitely recommend sea trialing both.
Mercurys are an option however most USA dealers (including us) are only ordering them with Yamahas. Yamaha seems to be the preferred option by most customers at the moment with more local service centers, parts retailers, warranty support, etc. in our area. Also on the 895 they install Yamahas at the factory but if ordered with Mercury they only install the steering and control harness at the factory, motors are installed at the dealership. So essentially if a customer wants to place a custom 895 Merc order we can certainly do that but we don't stock them or order them that way normally. I personally don't have a preference one way or the other, Yamaha and Mercury both make excellent motors. No joystick option for either engine configuration from the factory but can be installed aftermarket. 👍 And thank you for the compliment on the video! -Nick
Hi Tyler, glad you enjoy our videos! The 895 Weekender does not have a factory autopilot option or 250 option. The 895 Sport does have a 250 option, but again no autopilot option. Both boats can have autopilot added easily at the dealership level or boat yard. Garmin autopilot would be the natural choice as it would plug into the existing Garmin nav electronics.
@@tylerf5223 very rough ballpark $5,700 plus $300 for wireless remote. The Garmin autopilot kit is about $4,100 of that. I don't run our service department or estimate jobs so you can't hold me to it 😁
Thanks! May i ask how tall you are? Wondering what the headroom is in the cabin Did you have cabin doors open when running? Curious about noise levels. Thank you
We install kickers on the port side swim platform. We install downriggers a number of different ways in the cockpit. Permanent install options and temporary (like gimbal style).
The water heater works on shore power or generator or without the generator option we've installed upgraded lithium batteries and an inverter which will also run the water heater. So there's more than one way to do it 👍
Best review of this model on UA-cam. Nicely done and thank you for all the info.
One of the best reviews I’ve watched
Thank you Sean!
Exceptionally well done review & demo, Nick. And also an impressive boat. Your review is my new benchmark.
Thank you Jack!
Absolute best detailed review! Thank you, Thank you!

Is the inverter option expensive?
Very Nice Walk Thru Nick, very informative. Thanks

Great job with your walk-through, as always!
if you added a gen set and AC where would that be placed in the boat?
The Genset is mounted in the lazarette and the Air Conditioning under the bench seat across the galley in the salon, where the storage for bottles is.

@@SundanceYachts I'll keep tuned in and look forward to a comp video in the future. Thanks
Thanks for expert review.
Great review. Can the outboards be operated independently? Like backing into a slip with inboards - one engine in forward the other in reverse?
Hi Ronald, yes they can. Makes the boat very maneuverable.
Thanks for best review of 895 on UA-cam, just speed test in both directions is totally unnecessary

nice review, very timely as I've been tossed between this model and the 27 ranger tug. your thoughts?
Both great boats! I personally prefer the 895 but depending on your style preferences and needs one or the other might be a better fit. I definitely recommend sea trialing both.
I've looked at both at a boat show and the Jeanneau is my pick.
Really excellent review.
Hi Nick, Thanks for the great review! Is there an inboard option for the 895?
Thank you! No inboard option on the 895 but Jeanneau does build some inboard NC models like the NC 33 and 37 (a bit larger boats).
Are Merc’s an option.... joystick? Great review, thanks for taking the time to do it right!

What range can you get with a full tank of fuel offshore? and what is the fuel capacity
How much is the list price with basic electronics & radar ?
really enjoy your in depth videos. Can the 895 be equipped from the factory with autopilot with the twin 200s and the 250s?

Got to have A/C in Louisiana!
Definitely! 😁 Gen and A/C pretty much mandatory in Louisiana. Fortunately those are options that can be installed at the factory on this boat. 👍
how big is the opening that you crawl through and how big is the space where you went?
was is the capacity are the fuel tanks
What kind of watch are you wearing?
Garmin D2 Bravo Titanium 😁
It's a few years old now
Where can you mount a kicker and can a down rigger mount?

Yes you can, it is a factory option 👍
@@SundanceYachts gas or diesel?

That dinette seat needs a bit of WD40.

1095 is more comfortable.
The 1095 is more comfortable. Unless you care about purchase price, the price of gas , the price of moorage, or handling around the dock.

Really??? A 2m longer boat is more comfortable? Thank you for this very important comment 👍
