In addition to letting the tractor run out of gas, open the carburetor drain and more gas will exit. Also, it is easy to disconnect the fuel line and drain the gas from the tank.

Another thing I do is, run the gas low in the gas tank and get True Fuel from lowes and poor it into gas tank so whatever gas is in there doesn't go bad..

I have a 8 volt battery with my 6 volt starter. Much better CCA thus better cranking. Good advice on the carb. I always shut the gas off but never run the gas out of the carb.

Calcium chloride has been killing rims for 80 years +
Beet juice or regular antifreeze isvthe better alternative, a good wash and wax job in the shed out of the sunlight and weather is best 👌

Add dielectric grease to the battery posts and battery cable connections (ground, starter, etc). Last fuel fill-up use non-ethanol fuel. You can run the carburator out but water from ethanol will rot the tank.

Good information! Do you put anything in the cylinders to keep them from drying out? Like WD-40 or equivalent? Thanks for sharing!

i am not sure some i heard that marvel mystery oil. i also heard that oil is good for anything that might ail a motor vehicle. in the tank it might help wick water in a tank of fuel (there is a funnel that might separate water from fuel at tractor supply had one for about $20 i have yet to get one to try it out. theory the screen allows gasoline to flow through the mesh but not the water molecules to go thru the mesh.)
with parade tractor having calcium chloride (which is a salt mix which is a scary word around steel.) may crazy d and doc could take the calcium chloride out and replace with foam.
or check with nathan from the of the woods channel he had a coop group pump some fluid into his tractor tires. nathan was going to the paul bunyan logging fair in october just before columbus or indigenous monday holiday in ohio i think that it might be october thursday october 7, 2022 thru sunday. nate might be at the his sponsors log-rite forestry tools. (peaveys cant hooks logging arches and more) and woodmizer machines ( bandsaws hobby style to industrial service rated then they bought an industrial swedish molder planer 4 sided planer.company. woodmizer sells allied equipment and at one time had logrite built tools powder coated woodmizer orange. today the latest peaveys and cant hooks are made of steel. it seems ironic that kevin bantle of aluminum log-rite bantle family started as a portable lt40 woodmizer owner operator saw miller and logrite was started because kevin thought of his lighter and stronger aluminum powder coated logrite tools. the bantle support the timber jills of maine with women competitive woods people forestry skills. kevin also.supports the forestry forum. and probably more.
if you go to the paul bunyan fair and have time go vistit the utube channel teenagers that run lumber capital log yard. emerald is a.spokesperson and she is guided by the boss man and the boss lady and a grand pa. saturday will find them open but they take time off for religious activities. if continue eastward to scranton and wilkes barre. there are coal mines to visit. steamtown usa. and a trolley museum and there are old iron making furnaces. some where is an old iron making factory town that made pig iron. the furnace used burn firewood (charcoal) as fuel. then there is hershey confection chocolates. near Myerstown are amish folks and tractor places. and more.
