Great stories and memories of Reno. Lived there in the early 2000’s. Once I finally retire and get back to Nevada, my first project will be to buy a couple turntables and stock up on vinyl! Thank you for this series. Your timing couldn’t be more perfect!
I have an extra Technics if you guys ever need one, I'm sure once you settle down and have more free time, there should be plenty of records around ! I'd always be glad to help where or who to go to for good deals on vinyl. Thanks Karen.
@@jtsrecordroom3963 thank you! I may take up on your offer. I just completed move #23 this year. Augh! Got tired of packing and storing so I gave away 3 storage sheds of great stuff we’d collected over the past 45 yrs and almost two households of furniture. Made some needy families very happy. I’d love to start collecting my records now but the less I have to move and unpack the happier I am. I’m considering looking for a resource to find out which are the rarest or hardest to find. If I drive back to the west coast I’ll pass through a lot of towns and could make some good finds! Maybe I’m trying to talk myself into starting it now. My album collection can’t be heavier than my rock collection
@@jtsrecordroom3963 my collection will be 60’s and 70’s classic rock. Zepplin, Skynyrd, Segar, AC/DC, ZZT just to name a few. The only exception will be some Johnny Cash, especially his Folsom Prison live album
@karenking6178 Some of my personal favorite records.. either AC/DC... " Powerage" and Highway To Hell" are my go-to Bon Scott along with " Jailbreak '74 !!! 🤟
cool trip thru town dude. always appreciate the history lessons you bring to the table. always respect people like yourself who have such a love for their community and its history.
20 yrs. ago , I was gonna do a book on the nightlife and entertainment of Reno in the golden era.. 1949- 1978.. Too much work ! LoL !! 😉 Anyhow.. thanks, Steve. On my days off, I was thinking how I do it.. Driving around the streets, taking my time, getting something to eat, and then.. thrifting ! ( Or Reno Coffee Co. ) for good used records !
@@jtsrecordroom3963 damn dude that would've been cool to read. You could've titled it "OH YEAH!" Still bends my brain the vinyl u find in thrift stores. The stuff I find is always either that stuff that sits around in every store that no one wants or just records in worst shape.
Ok you made my heart skip a beat when you ran that red light! I could just picture the crash. I liked all the old scenery. That car museum would be cool to see also. Awesome video JT!
Yeah, that would be cool to show you, Gary ! Bill Harrah had one of the best car collections in the world ! When he died, they sold off at least half of it ! If you have a chance, take a peek at Harrahs Auto Museum online.. very cool ! We just had our last Reno Air Races 2 weeks ago.. It had been going since 1965. Folks come from around the world for it !
There is a neon sign graveyard, like Vegas.. Reno size, though ! All hotel casino signs from the old days.. They light them up as well at night. I forgot that they were right down 4th St. where I ran the red light ! ( You should have seen me skiing ) DANGER !!!! 🤙
Absolutely ! I have her debut, and a few others.. My Mom was in show-biz, and she used to imitate Julie just for fun with "Cry Me A River" ! I missed out checking the vinyl on that Julie LP at thrift #1 "The End Of The World".. I want one ! And I'm looking for her 2nd album on vinyl. Thanks for looking in on this one !
I love neon signs. Don't have any but even as a kid was fascinated by them. Btw your name appears in my newest upload. A Halloween Horror Soundtracks contest. Various members of the VC's names have been whispered by the vinyl spirits. 😂👻
Thanks for looking in on this one ! I always mess around before hitting the thrift stores.. Lunch, taking my time, that sort of thing. I'm peeking in on your contest that you have going..
I’m a big fan of neon signs. Cincinnati has an incredible museum dedicated to neon signs. I have a phone filled with pictures of them. You did find some music, pretty sure I would have come out empty handed but it is nice to see what others appreciate
I like that Steve.. What others appreciate ! There is a neon graveyard here, I have never been there.. Signs from the major, and minor hotel/ casinos back in the heyday.. Thanks for looking in on this one !
Wow. I have never visited Reno even though it's not far from San Francisco. Such a treat seeing the town and all those neon signs in an art deco font? Those thrift stores look really big and you got some great pick-ups. Thanks for taking us along.
Reno and Sparks are incredible for thrifting, always have been.I picked up a Byrds " Younger Than Yesterday" Mono Near Mint for 3.00.. And that's paying more than our usual 1.00 to 2.00 per record ! Thanks for checking out my latest vid..✌️ See you on yours !
@@jtsrecordroom3963 I visited Lake Tahoe when I was a child and can't really remember much other than a ski resort I think called called "Heavenly Valley"? or something like that. Just remembered it being super cold and lots of snow!
That's it ! That's the place ! Haha🙂I was gonna say, If you are ever out west again.. It is a must to see, but.. Nowadays we can see everything on UA-cam ! LoL !! @@retromusings
Loving those Neon Signs JT. I’m a huge fan of the photography of William Eggleston & he used to take pictures of stuff like that & cheap motel rooms mainly in Tennessee. I collect his books. Great to see .I think Reno & Southampton have almost the same population....that’s where the similarities end! 😊
Right.. William Eggleston, I am familiar. I met Annie Liebovitz on St. Thomas, actually hung out with her ! The Eggleston stuff is like Jarmusch's film.. "Mystery Train" subject matter ! See you, Harris, and thanks, mate !
My office is on old Hwy 40 in Loomis, CA. They have a marker in Rocklin. I love the old neon. I've had a few small signs and even 20 or 30 years ago it was hard to get them repaired. Love the history. I visited Harrah's auto collection several times when it was in Sparks. That goodwill flip was a nice group, my kind of stuff. Enjoyed the rant.
Yeah, Harry ! I usually don't go off on any kind of rant's.. but, some collector's really put down perfectly good artists/ bands. Glad you appreciate the neon's.. and I always like hearing from you !
Yeah, Dave.. I enjoy jazz about as much as all of my rock stuff ! Variety is the spice of listening, for sure ! Those 3 guys.. Herb, Barney and Charlie Byrd are monster guitarists !
I really enjoyed the Reno tour. Looks like you have some good thrifts there. Lots of standard fodder, but some good ones too. I put in the time years ago and built up my collection. I mostly only find anything at yard sales now,but few and far between.
Yard sales can be awesome ! I think.. meeting folks and asking about records, even to other pickers, is key as well ! Many entertain the idea of downsizing their record collections.. That's how I met Bill ! Thank you, Harry.. again ! 😁
Great tour of Reno Jt. If those old motel rooms could talk. Nice Mose Allison. I agree with your comments about respecting musicians. Takes so much dedication to forge a career. Great finds. That Band album is pretty good. Cheers.
Hey there Jack ! I was thinking earlier about what you said about collecting, and how many records we have ! It could be worse, right ! We could start up a 12 Step meeting for addicted obsessive record collectors... like me ! Hehe🙂 Thanks for mentioning the players .. They work so hard, weather it be an Englebert Humperdinck album, or anything at all ! The unsung heroes, often.. guys and gals that don't get mentioned much behind the lines of the great players that we know and love ! See you later..🙂
Hi JT!!! and thanks for the cool tour too, that area of Reno seems to be pretty cool with the Old Neon Signs. Nice stuff you have added to the collection, you really are a thrift store Pro always getting killer records and super cheapp!!! cheers and be well
Thanks, Cristian ! It has been fun putting my Priest records together as well.. "Stained Class" British Steel" and I want to get "Turbo" as well. "Sin After Sin" I have on a 2nd pressing and a sealed repress.. Great band, Huh !!! 🤘I always take my time before I start out on a record dig on my days off.. Chao ! ✌

What a show ! Squeeze and The furs !! ☺ Thanks for the kind words, going to Rocket Records is about when I started filming my vinyl hunting style of taking you guys along with me ! I got a bunch of good records that day , and Augie ( I think that's how he spells his name ) is one of the coolest record shop owners around ! I found out he worked at Tower Records before ! Interesting to hear that ! In the last few years, I have been listening to Geogie Fame.. He wasn't big over here at all. Actually, Van Morrison is the one who brought him to our attention, more or less.😊
@@jtsrecordroom3963 Alan Price's and Georgie Fame's voices gel together well ... Back in the 60s and into the early 70s, the BBC had a limited amount of tape, so they would tape over old shows. I suspect that's what happened to 'The Price Of Fame'. I just checked on UA-cam. I found one show, but the picture quality isn't very good.
Hello JT and thank you very much for another great video. Congratulations for the Mose Allison Atlantic record. The Crazy World of Arthur Brown (great LP) label is Track, Kit Lambert, Chris Stamp and the Who UK label. A subsidiary of German Polydor. The Who LPs from Sell Out were issued in the UK on Track. As well as the 4 Jimi Hendrix albums issued in his lifetime. One of the last before they get bankrupted was The Heartbreakers L.A.M.F. (UK). Amicalement. Marc
Thanks for that info on Track Records ! And to have The Heartbreakers on Track would be too cool ! Johnny Thunders.. A repress might be in order for me a bit down the record picking road ! Haha😏 Appreciated, Marc. That Mose is so so good !
I didn’t comment the other day but the Pretenders Brass in Pocket video is also a favorite of mine of that era, along with Nick Lowe Cruel to be Kind and Elvis Costello A Good Year for the Roses@@jtsrecordroom3963
Fantastic, Jt. I love the Sandman sign with the car on top. I would have grabbed the Belafonte On Campus. My attention was just drawn to the JB - Live At The Garden frame. Has that always been there? It's one of my favorite JB jackets. The recording itself is so-so. I'm always impressed with how well your thrift stores are stocked. The ones around me are horrible. The Mose Allison album takes the cake; it looks new. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Now I need to listen to Belafonte On Campus ! I change the framed album art occasionally.. Too bad the JB live recording is weak on that album. Most of our thrift stores are stocked pretty well, but.. not always with desirable records ! Thanks, Mark. 🤚
Aloha JT, You are so correct the more persistent we are the more opportunities that we will find great music. Here on Oahu the prices at Salvation Army has tripled.😢 Record albums last year was at .99 cents this year it's at $ 2.99, goodwill has increased their prices also, but they are a few others that still have great prices. I myself enjoy Charlie Byrd also, one of my personal Favorite is Called "Guitar Guitar" with Herb Ellis which came out in 1965. Julie London is awesome. Martin Denny is a classic , his Percussionist Augie Colon is awesome, & so is his son Lopaka Colon who was in a band call "Pure Heart" with Jake Shimabukuro , before Jake went solo. Thanks again for another great video. Looking forward to watching your next video. Mahalo Ed
Aloha, Ed ! Some stores here are 3.00 per record, as well ! Two weeks ago , I found Liz Damon's Orient Express in Bill's Garage on White Whale ! We hope to travel back to Oahu next fall.. Thanks for looking in, and enjoy your cooler weather.. coming soon, Mahalo 😁
I liked seeing those old signs. I would sure have my camera out for those. The first jazz album I bought was either by Mose Allison or Chet Baker. I guess that I don't put in enough effort as I don't really find anything. I have done pretty well with DVDs as I am a big movie fan. I guess that I am similar as I have several copies of that Tony Bennett album.
Might as well have the mono and the stereo pressings of this Tony LP.. and a UK or German copy wouldn't hurt, either ! 🫡 My last film that I bought thrifting was an upgrade to " Black Mass" on Blu Ray from my DVD copy.. I have 4 films by Scott Cooper/ Director. Thanks, Randy.. This was a fun one to put together !
great video jt, love the tour of the old motels and those awesome neons so cool, last time i was in the us thats the kind of things that i loved to seek out ( it was a long time ago ), some great finds man love the mose allison album, i have been watching spectre records unboxing videos hes had some great stuff in there, j think only you and me have commented on his videos hopefully it will grow soon, you got some sweet albums off of him the go gos, cream and arthur brown all look in amazing condition, cheers jt
Hey Stephen ! Stoner's Stashbox ( Dan ) and Steve Carlson have commented with him as well.. He is a great guy, and I'm so glad to have gone over to meet him ( Gabriel ).. records or no records ! I went back today, where I got that Mose LP.. I double checked the Vince Guaraldi LP again.. no dice, and I did pick up a cool Julie London that I had missed along with Larry Coryell that I left behind , also. I drive by these old buildings a lot, and thought it would be a good into before driving over to Salvation Army ! Thanks..☺
How awesome !! Some great scores there, I’ve been listening to more jazz ! Especially the horn/sax jazz, (Parker, miles, monk) soo cool I’ll check some of those you got, Mose one looks interesting ! I’ve been on hunt for that Arthur brown fur a while that’s awesome !! Cool stuff, Reno looks cool !
I always dilly dally, and take my time on my day-off, and now that I film my thrifting/ picking journeys, I will pull over.. And I'm lucky that I didn't get pulled over for running that red light ! LoL !! 🙂 Thank you for watching, JD. ✌
We were having breakfast at the Davenport hotel in Spokane . We heard awesome piano playing in the lobby on the grand piano. I had to go and check it out. I started talking to the player to tell him how good he was. He then told me that he was in Stanley Clarke's current band. It was Jahari Stampley. I've never seen anyone play that good and fast. I checked out a video online and it was him.
Wow ! Very cool ! Those guys are amazing, and to see a player like that up close, and solo would stick with any music lover, always ! I will have a look on UA-cam.. Thanks, Harry. 😊
You can just search Stanley Clarke N 4EVER.Jazz San Javier 2022. He plays a 4 minute piano solo about 11 minutes in. He played that one in the hotel lobby.
I had the privilege of seeing Mose live with my Dad at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in the early 90s. Amazing experience- he was a huge influence on Who’s Pete Townsend
I remember hearing that about Mose influencing Pete.. I read Townshend's biography about 10 years back. I only have 1 or 2 Mose on vinyl, so I was stoked to get this very good LP ! Thanks for that and watching my video !
@@jtsrecordroom3963 my pleasure! I’ve seen a few & love your taste & knowledge.. I just read recently in a Phil Spector book that Phil idolized Bernie Kessel & he was a Wall of Sound session guy. Martin Denny, Jimmy Smith, Chet, Cal Tjader…yeah, you’re my kinda guy
@michaeljemal Interesting about Spector loving Barney ! I had no idea ! For jazz, I dig Kenny Burrell and Benson, actually.. There are so many outstanding guitarists ! Nice to know you appreciate the same artists as me.. Cool ! 👍
@michaeljemal Coryell is the man ! I have a lot of CDs by him, and on vinyl " Spaces" is excellent, and two other early titles ! Larry Carlton is the other guitar god.. for real ! 👍
That Brazil i77 is an amazing album. His best more baraz jazz than pop and it sounds so good. Love the signs. Went through there w my parents back in the early 60s. ✌🏻
Yeah, Mazzy.. That is a good Sergio & company album, I have a nice copy.. I think ? I should have picked up another ! Haha. I am a big Lani Hall fan, and as you know, those early LP's are terrific as well ! There is a neon graveyard here in town that I should film down the vinyl pickin' road ! ✌
Hey JT great video loved the tour, love the albums! I inherited ‘School Days’ from my dad’s collection, he didn’t have many records really - maybe 30 or so, but they were all good! Glad you picked up the ‘I left my heart..’ I have that album I picked it up for £2 a couple of years back love Tony Bennett what a talent he was. Also the Go-Go’s love that album. I’ve been in love with Belinda Carlisle since the 80’s. Saw her live about 4 years ago and she’s still smoking hot I was like a teenager again lol! Talking of beauties that Arthur Brown is a fantastic find - noice! Take care cheers
Did your Dad have any Return To Forever" albums ? Some excellent Fusion, for sure ! My Uncle Bob in SF would submit songs directly to Ralph Sharon , he always reached high, and Mr. Sharon would refuse to take on any of his songs.. Some were outstanding, by the way ! Go Go's and Bangles.. Love it !!! 😉 ( pkg is not here yet )
@@jtsrecordroom3963 no he didn’t I’m not sure I’ve heard any of their stuff I will check them out. I did inherit some nice early UK presses Elton John, Gerry Rafferty’s first 3 or 4 albums, some Eric Clapton and Dire Straits and a copy of War of the Worlds, which along with Captain Fantastic and the brown dirt cowboy sparked my interest in vinyl records in the late 1970’s. I’ve got my dad’s old turntable here I rescued it from the shed about 3 years ago and it had seen better days, but I’ve been gradually sprucing it up over time. After a new belt and service It works just fine. I just put a new headshell/cart on last week as well as a tonearm holder clip as the old one had been snapped off. It’s a Sansui SR-222 Mk 2 that my dad bought in 1978 for £70! The lid is cracked so that’s the next thing I want to fix. That’s very cool about your uncle you gotta just keep plugging away! No worries JT many thanks again
Hi JT, another great video. It’s always great to see and hear your Reno knowledge and stories. When I discovered your videos about a year ago, you really inspired me to broaden my listening range - and I was able to find a couple stores in my area that sold $1 records. I went a little overboard, and 10 records or so a month turned to 40, 50, etc. I made it a priority to clean and listen to each record, but I have built up a box of ‘meh’ type records. I was wondering if you ever ‘weed’ out your thrift store finds? Thanks.
OK.. So, I do weed out shabby records, and re donate. My issue is that I like every decade of music ! LoL !! I now have a lot of very clean records, and am thinking of a booth in a new antique mall, only to balance the load I have coming in ! I still have plenty of room, and am going back to Bill's today, actually ! I really like the older jazz/ pop singers as well.. Sarah Vaughan, Julie London, Billie Holiday. Nancy Wilson, Dinah Washington.. and most of the great male vocalists as well.
I guess I-80 obliterated most of the old US-40. Sometimes I think it would be fun to somehow just travel the old highways without having to live in those days (I wouldn't want to get stranded in the desert without a phone lol). I've been wanting to find an old Road Atlas from like the 1950's just to see how much things have changed in the roadways, but those atlases are a lot harder to find than you would think. I would have definitely picked up that Vince Guaraldi. Nice Stanley Clarke albums, haven't heard either one of those yet. That Great Guitars album looks pretty good too. Extremely pristine copies of Wheels of Fire and Arthur Brown, wow someone really took care of their records. Excellent scores once again!
I went back for that Vince G.. somebody's cat had chewed the corners a bit, and the wax was bad. I did get Larry Coryell and Julie London that I left behind yesterday ! Actually, this is the old highway 40, Mike ( now called 4th Street ). And it stretches all the way up through Truckee and over Donner Summit to Auburn and Sacramento !
Yeah, thanks, Mike.. You know how hit and miss this picking thing gets ! Gabriel has a good new channel ( the guy I got Wheels of Fire from ).. Spectre Records ! His flip videos are great.. 7 free boxes of records !
What a crazy world indeed!!! JT😂!!! to find the crazy world of AB....So ecstatically happy for you my friend...ENJOY!!! and please send a little of that luck my way!!!
It is funny, Louis.. driving over to meet Gabriel, I would have never thought of picking up that Arthur Brown LP !!! And, seriously.. Wheels Of Fire has eluded me for the longest time ! I'm sending good thoughts and luck your way ! 👍
Thanks.. I really have fun putting these together ! In the spring, we are going back to Japan and Thailand.. So.. more record hunting video's way over there ! 🥲
Gabriel is such a great guy. I just discovered him this past week. But you know that. Lol. Hey thank you for taking us around and showing Reno. Yeah thrifting is a bit of hit or miss. But we both know that there are times that it really can pay off. Sometimes like gang busters. Sometimes like a wet dog turd. Lol. But you have to work at it. Great finds, and as always a great video, Jt. Catch you later.
Yeah, Dan.. That was my first meet-up, ever ! I had fun going over to his work area for an hour or so. I'm thinking of getting a booth in the new mall.. So I can buy more records ! LoL !!😆
It's getting about to be about that time.. I'm not gonna stop buying, my collection is so cool.. I can't stop now ! Haha. Can't wait to see Gabriel's space in the mall. It's our old Jc Penny's building very close to my work !@@StonersStashbox

It killed me to pass on that Larry Coryell ! I might go back, the wax was good, actually.. I am a definite fan of his ! So pleased to have that Mose, it is on the early powder blue and light green Atlantic label ! ( 4th US Label 1960-1962 ) Thanks, Jon !

Chett and Glen are two of my favorites. Today I broadend my collection of glen by picking up 5 of his records including that live record you talked about. What a small world it is and band I never heard of called blood, sweat, & tears.
Man, east 4th Street was kind of a stomping ground for me. Dive bars galore - Big Ed's, Alturas, and a little further east there was a place called Area 51, for a while. Pretty sure I saw Deadbolt there one night. Saw Southern Culture on the Skids at Big Ed's when Bruce Van Dyke was a part owner there. Was on staff at the Bowling Stadium when they filmed 'Kingpin'. Lot of memories for me in that area.
We used to play at Area 51 back in 1999 ! One time.. with Sprout, a real good 3 piece band. We were Mary Underground from South Lake Tahoe ! I work on 4th, and was a Harrah's man for 7 years, or so from 2002- 2010 ! I was in a lot of action ( 9-Ball ) at Keystone, and Diamond Billiards down in South Reno.. I don't play anymore.. Too busy ! Thanks for this, and glad to have someone know just what I am speaking of !
I put it back, knowing that I can get a cleaner copy for 12.00 or so.. I think ? Actually.. I'm going back, I do want that one, as it might still be there. The wax was very good, and I dig Larry Coryell ! Thanks, Greg.😊
@@jtsrecordroom3963 sorry JT I didn't know it was fetching 12 bucks. Seems a little high but that's easy for me to say since I have it. Love your videos JT

Amazing haul, once again. Cool neon signs. Are these lit up at night still? I don't think there is much neon left in Toronto. Every time I see copies of that Arthur Brown record, they are trashed 😔
Hey there Brian ! Glad I caught this message.. I took a week off video making just to get caught up on watching other vids ! Thanks for looking in on this one.. 73 records 73 dollars at a thrift store an hour north of my condo. He threw in a box set of 78’s. The best Part of what I got. JT. Crazy not to run into thrifts. Takes just a little effort
So awesome, Greg ! Congrats on this haul .. Wow !!! 👍 So true, a little effort, or a bit more, and it will happen ! Went to Bills, today.. 27 records for 5.00 each ! Some very good ones, again ! Enjoy those, brother !
You mention in your video that you have viewers that go thrifting but don't really find any records. Like most things in life timing is everything. Most people try to thrift for records on the weekends the worst time. That's when people are mostly off work when the compilation is the highest for finding records. The best time to go is on a Monday or a Tuesday early in the morning when they open. The weekend is the time when people make the donations, Monday and Tuesday is when thrift stores put the records out not the weekends when it's the most busy. It's like a hunting or fishing thing it takes patience but also going at the optimum time.
Good stuff.. I agree 100% !! I always try to help others in the way of not giving up, just enjoy the journey and flipping through titles help increase knowledge of record labels, condition, and ultimately.. finding good records. Also networking. I went out on Tuesday, bought 3 nice records for 10 dollars.. and a fellow offered to sell me 160 records. Next day, he brought them over, all NM vinyl and jackets, he took a hundred dollars. Chaka Kahn, The Commodores, MJ, Herbie Hancock, Weather Report on and on ! Networking definitely works, and I pass that on as well... So did Tuco !
On your days off do you do Laundry, sit outside on the patio, take your son out for ice cream do you get your car looked at and do you catch up on videos? Motel how classic we have one on route 17 ? and there also cool to me , Bobby Mcfarin 89 cents to 2.00 sounds like a decent deal , same with Tonny Bemet , go go's nice vacation , cream I remember when Mtv did their closet classic they showed Arthur Brown, So I left my heart in San Francisco is in your top 50 of that genre or top 50 including Rock? what do you think about the Band's album from 1977 their last album ?
Yes, I do all of that, and at home I do a lot of different chores, and cook dinner once in a while. We just went for ice cream Tuesday ( my last day off ).
OK.. here is my idea on why he's not making vids.. First off, he seriously had the score of a lifetime ! That is a ton of records to curate ( price, clean, sleeve, keep or not keep ). Then.. him and his brother do record pop-ups to sell. His video making is very elaborate, takes hours and hours to edit. Also, his work ( driving ) is important.. now he can dig without having to film. but.. I bet he is a little bit, anyway. He has everything .. almost that he could possibly ever want, or need, and when he organizes and sells through stuff, he might be back. I miss him and his vids too ! I might be wrong, but.. I think I'm close !
@@jtsrecordroom3963 Thanks for the reply. I knew he sold records but obviously more Involved than I realized. He did have a major score of a lifetime. I have had scores with Some great records but not at that volume with the quality he found.

@STEVEHEROLD How did you know ?? 🤣.. Ohhhh yeah, baby ! Might be a proper embellishment of my standard every day.. " Oh Yeah" ! Hehe😁
You killed it with that Julie, Gogos and Mose. Dang great finds. Out in Reno. Mining for gold!
Yes I am.. And I used to actually work on a small gold crew 11 years ago out in eastern Nevada.. Very hard work, but I didn't mind at all !
I love Julie London! Whenever I find her albums in good condition I pick them up
Great finds! 👍🏻
@@jtsrecordroom3963 great content,
I love thrift finds!
Have you been to Lake Tahoe ? we are 50 min. from North Shore..
Glad you appreciate the neon's.. and I always like hearing from you !
nice tour, of the old signs and I'm here for the jazz, nice jazz finds, J t!!
Chao ! ✌

HI JT. Nice Mose Allison LP. He was a big influence on Georgie Fame (and many others) ... I also enjoyed seeing the shots of downtown Reno.
Interesting to hear that ! In the last few years, I have been listening to Geogie Fame.. He wasn't big over here at all. Actually, Van Morrison is the one who brought him to our attention, more or less.😊
@@jtsrecordroom3963 Georgie Fame and Alan Price worked together for awhile. Their TV series 'The Price Of Fame' was my introduction to both of them.

The Band Islands. Cream Wheels. I'd like to hear that Arthur Brown. Damn. Those vinyls look nice!
Sweet sweet records ! I am in vinyl heaven again this week ! I am doing a tour of a cool store in Sacramento for next weeks video.. Thanks so much.
The Mose wax is actually a VG.. on that old Atlantic label, the record plays beautifully from start to finish ! ( The jacket is NM ) !!! 👍
I had no idea that " On Camus" was that good ! What's really scary is.. I might have it already ! 🤣 But, I don't think so.
Aloha JT,
You are so correct the more persistent we are the more opportunities that we will find great music.
Here on Oahu the prices at Salvation Army has tripled.😢 Record albums last year was at .99 cents this year it's at $ 2.99, goodwill has increased their prices also, but they are a few others that still have great prices.
I myself enjoy Charlie Byrd also, one of my personal Favorite is Called
"Guitar Guitar" with Herb Ellis which came out in 1965.
That Cream album is a treasure!
Thanks ! It is.. I've been waiting to find a decent one, good cover and vinyl. Appreciated..🫡

I'll find a link and send it to if you want. He wasn't playing a show there He told me whenever he sees a free piano he practices.

@@jtsrecordroom3963 yes, I picked up Julie and Dinah thanks to you.

@@jtsrecordroom3963 Mid 80's J.T. it doesn't really get cold here year round.
That's awesome.. Sounds like this region, Robbie, never too cold ! This past summer had only 4 or 5 99 degree high temps.. We will miss this year without any smoke from forest fires. Aren't you up in Michigan ?@@robbiedetroitstigermanviny8883
@@jtsrecordroom3963 I grew up in Detroit next to Aretha Franklin's Daddy's Church Near Downtown also about a 15 min drive to Hitsville U.S.A recording studio. I went into the Army in 1984 and Retired here at Ft. Gordon Ga. Augusta. Home of James Brown, Hulk Hogan, Brenda Lee and Lawrence Fishborne.
73 records 73 dollars at a thrift store an hour north of my condo. He threw in a box set of 78’s. The best
Part of what I got.
@@jtsrecordroom3963 quality records at $5 all day long
You mention in your video that you have viewers that go thrifting but don't really find any records.
Motel how classic we have one on route 17 ?
and there also cool to me ,
Bobby Mcfarin 89 cents to 2.00 sounds like a decent deal , same with Tonny Bemet ,
go go's nice vacation , cream
I remember when Mtv did their closet classic they showed Arthur Brown,
So I left my heart in San Francisco is in your top 50 of that genre or top 50 including Rock?
what do you think about the Band's album from 1977 their last album ?
Yes, I do all of that, and at home I do a lot of different chores, and cook dinner once in a while. We just went for ice cream Tuesday ( my last day off ).
Thanks for checking this out Mark ! This is one direction I go when thrifting in downtown.. by all of the old motor lodges along old highway 40 🫡
Hey man is there anything going on with Tuco. I always enjoy watching his videos and he’s been absent
For about 6 months.
OK.. here is my idea on why he's not making vids..
I knew he sold records but obviously more
Involved than I realized. He did have a major score of a lifetime. I have had scores with
Some great records but not at that volume with the quality he found.
I share a birthday with Arthur Browne.
Wow ! I like that kind of stuff.. And I can relate as well with many of the Aries musicians that are out there in the world ! Thanks so much for that.🌎.
