- LMS 45596 Bahamas would be at the helm of the Railway Touring Companies railtour the Great Britain XV with Bahamas doing the leg from Llandudno to Carnforth where 46115 Scots Guardsman would take over for the attack of Shap and Beattock to Edinburgh . We first see the Jubilee 45596 Bahamas at Bay Horse running under caution. The next shot sees 46115 at Carnforth level just as she got into her stride. We then headed for Beattock and had set up nicely when news came through the 46115 had failed at Lockerbie due to a hot box on the tender . Thanks to Nige and Shep for the great company today. One for the record today as not what I had planned .
I’ve finally caught royal Scot’s grey today at atherstone
Good to hear Scott 👍
@@TheStephengthompson yeah Steve
Thanks Steve for the Scot pity it failed later in the day as it was a bit of variety in the mix however thanks to the Jubs. Cheers Brian
What caused the failure on Scots guardsman
Hot box on the tender Stephen that was repaired on sight on Wednesday I believe 👍

Steve, Not the planned day but still a good day but I share your disappointment as Beattock is a great location. Regards, John
Thanks John , even worse was the light was fantastic on Beattock but never mind 👍
Great video Steve.

Cracking shots Stephen of both locos. Shame about 46115 especially weather being good.👍
Thanks David, yes it was disappointing Guardsman failed especially given the light on Beattock.
Some good shots there Steve. I like the shot leaving Carnforth. Shame about Beattock though. Better luck on Thursday.
Thanks Simon, yes it was a shame she failed but hey ho .
Nice one Steve, not the best conditions with the wind and the failure spoilt things but got to be happy with what we got, cheers 👍
Thanks Nige , yes it was a shame 46115 failed but never mind 👍
Where was the first shot taken? Its a different angle.
I thought it was you walking back to your car under the bridge at Bay Horse.
Shame about how things panned out at Lockerbie.
At least they've manged to get another engine up to Scotland for Wednesday and Thursday
Thanks Idris, yes it was a shame but these things happen and like you say West Coast did well to replace 46115 at short notice for the next day 👍
Top class footage once again Steve with a great sound track from SG. Shame the way the day ended. Take care - Chris
Cheers Chris, yes it was a shame but never mind.
One of those Steve, two good shots though, yes i to managed to get to Somewere in beatock with a no show and told it failed, got some footage on shap and Metal bridge, lets hope for better on the return, Cheers . 👍🎥

Just one of those days Steve. Couple of decent shots anyway despite the disappointment of Beattock
Thanks Austin, yes it was a shame but still better than being at work 😂

Superb coverage of GBXV Steve. Cheers, Jeff.
Cheers Jeff , much appreciated as always.
Good to see you got at least two out of three. A shame it failed at Lockerbie as it seemed to make a good start from Carlisle.
Thanks Les , yes it was a bit disappointing 46115 failed especially as the light was fantastic on Beattock.
Nice
Thanks Daniel 👍
