@@tyclark1677you definitely should be trying harder to get the grades because they're important but one thing that I find English class doesn't really teach is that how well you can articulate your meaning tends to be more important than knowing a lot of words, or having a complex understanding of the exact rules of the English language. By the Eighth grade you should know all the vocabulary you really need to know besides ones that are specific to whatever field you choose to pursue a career in.
