Yes it will get smaller but you can always trim it with your scissors to your desired armhole measurement.

U used a drafting paper first but I was using my material now I have made mistakes in getting that v shape side and if I join material like you said my dull face will look bad mteww

But You’re to use a pattern/drafting paper first to eliminate the darts so you can cut it as a single piece and also in case of any mistake before transferring to the main fabric
