What do you do with Joel when putting Reuben to bed/bath etc? I know I need to get Indie down before casper now as she’s a much better sleeper and a lot easier to get to bed 😂 but he’s just so loud and makes so much noise so always feel like he prevents her from going to sleep xx
Haha, second child problems 😂 So basically, I sometimes leave Joel downstairs and make sure he’s settled watching diggers on UA-cam or something. I have the monitor on so I can see him. Or, more recently I’ve been bathing them together now that Reuben sits up and is a bit more independent. And then I get Reuben out first, get him dressed in the bathroom so I can watch Joel in the bath. Then sit Reuben up with a toy, while I get Joel out and get him dressed. Then we’ll sit in Reuben’s nursery and have stories all together in the chair while Reuben has his bottle. Then I have to send Joel in to his room while I put Reuben down otherwise he’s a pain and will keep him awake 😂😂 I just tell him to go and choose more stories for me to read in his bed in a minute, and that usually works. I promise it gets easier with the bedtime routine though. It was the one thing I used to dread before Reuben hit 6 months! Xxx

Yeah I couldn’t leave him downstairs he gets too much FOMO and just follows me everywhere 😂 But I’ve started getting her ready for bed when he’s in the bath then just winging it from there (I currently only bath her on the nights josh is home) sometimes il put the tv on in our room and try get her down but depending on what mood he’s in he can be so bloody loud! But yeah hoping when I can bath them both together alone it will get easier! Xx
Really enjoyed this little vlog, I'm same I love that age! I remember when you used to do the little toy baskets with Joel too! Just wondering with naps Hun, when did you start trying to get him to self settle, I have no idea when to start with caius xx
Awww, yes, all those ideas we had to come up with during lockdown haha. I think Reuben was about 4 months when I started. I never let him cry it out, but I always gave him about 5-10 minutes to settle himself before I went back in to the room. We just did a little bit of sleep training and it definitely helped xx
