This is not an easy dance. I know coz I am learning it and it was not easy. It looks beautiful but the hard work behind it is really painful. I am over 20s so maybe its kinda late for me but i juz love it. It's a part from our ancestors' traditional.
Kalau tuannya sendiri mengabaikan budaya sendiri hanya percuma saja....
This is wrong description about the original history and ancient story. More info and deep details should be intensively educated from real performers or educators.
patcarapong keau suk I wonder does Malay people dress the same like Thais in the ancient time since this type of dress and dance also found amongst some Malays in Malaysia. Just recently ASWARA of Malaysia show one of Malay old dance called Menghadap Balai and the dress look nearly similar with thais (esp The Headgear). Some says Malay headgear before they convert to Islam is similar to the Menora dancers.
REX SAFFRONI Menghadap Rebab or Makyong in Malaysia is a traditional dance with strong Hindu Influence in it before Malay convert to Islam...but the headgear are different from the Thai we called it Ketopong in Malay.
@@rexsaffroni7091 Yes,the ancient northern malay (Now southern Thailand & North Malaysia) worn almost identical like the thais..you can watch the movie "Raja Bersiong versi tunku abdul rahman (1968)" to see the outfits worn by Malays...Menora was a malay theatre performed in the palace before Islamic era...During pre-Islamic era,Menora is no longer played in the palace as they replaced it with Mak Yong...so the art is no longer practiced by Malays but still practiced by buddhist Thais
