@@Teaskyynot really there’s just a lot more players getting shadow drops rn making 3-4b since there hasn’t been anything to spend gp on that doesn’t make 10000x your money back besides some awakened orbs that were like 50m for all the orbs you need not even counting drops

@mrcool76789 it can. who can regulate the price of a non listed item other than the people selling it? They've decided all 3a is worth bills and now they are hyperinflating those prices and the only thing that could counter that is if one of the top players dumped a ton of 3a on the market.

@@steelcitysteve8794that exact thing happened with 3a swords near the start of osrs. One dude bought up all of em, inflating them to 1-2b apiece. Then he quit sometime later and dumped them, making it crash down to 300m or so
I May 2020 I sold off my 3a axe investment for 225m each which was ge price at the time, rip.
same for 3rd age kiteshield. Got one on my GIM, was 30m when I got it, now upwards of 70m just in a year. Seems rich players see opportunity, they're buying them all out and controlling the prices.

It's called items that can't/aren't heavily botted like imbued heart and clue rares stay the same value while the price of gp deteriorates.
Partyhats,santas,hwen masks and other discontinued items had their reason to go up as no more of them are comming in anymore.
Btw 3rd age items already where manipulated when trade limit came out and they where junk for over a year when they crashed in 2008-2009.
The 3rd age you are referring to is the Hard Clue Scroll reward variants (melee, range & mage). They predate the Third-Age Druidic set, cloak, weaponry and the tools from way back in the old game and they also are a reward from a lower tier of Clue Scroll (Hard).
While Third-Age Druidic, cloak, weaponry and tools were released much later aswell as being a reward from Master Clue Scrolls.
The old third age also has more than a 1/100,000 drop rate difference.
They aren't the same, even if they all begin with 3rd age.
Not criticizing your comment, just think it's fair to point out the distinction. The newer items are significantly more sought after because they are newer and actually serve a purpose in regards to one's like the tools. Even back in the day, 3rd age wasn't good. Everyone used Barrows and third age was a bank standing outfit.
@@A_Goat Axe was like 50m and bow like 100. Pick like 300, 400? They are worthless, it's just merch clans (which is supposed to be bannable) got together and bought them out. Friend of mine has a lot of GP and he made skirts go up like 20m in a few days by solo buying them. So now imagine 100 people doing that. Also the armour is better vs barrows than the tools vs dragon, because smouldering stone or crystal is what you want to use.

Dragon pickaxe and infernal pickaxe(even better as it gives smith xp also) is same as 3rd age pickaxe.
Crystal tools are even better then 3rd age and dragon.
You are paying bills for a cosmetic variant.
I am just saying that this price manipulation has happened in the past and not long ago in Rs3(the players who are merching those items in osrs now).

Yeah I agree. Still not optimal and all for the flex. No doubt ppl are merching it. Easy to do too being they aren't traded in high amounts. Some are lower than 20 traded daily.

in december 2021 there were 4000 bloodhound pets, so about 4mill clues completed. I think a 3a pickaxe rate is like 1/50k master clues. So let's say 6000 bloodohunds now, 6m clues completed. 120? picks
