- handles : 4 green cords * 9 ft (274 cm)
- Body : 4 sand cords * 7 ft (213 cm)
80 green cords * 7 ft (213 cm)
- Straps : 4 sand cords * 5 ft (152 cm)
4 green cords * 18 inch (46 cm)
* 602 ft (183.49 m) of green
48 ft (14.63 m) of sand
In total
Materials : 5mm braided cotton cords,
a measuring tape,
scissors,
a tape,
a bobby pin,
D rings * 4

If I use a 4mm twist cotton rope, I have to increase the length of each rope or it can be the same as your calculation, namely green 183.49 m and sand 14.63 m?? Please answer my questions. Thanks 🖤🖤

I think it would be okay to use the same length as I did but the bag will turn out slightly smaller that mine since the cords you are using is a bit thinner than mine.
And just in case you run out of cords, just do 2 or 4 less rows of square knots for the body of the bag.

I used 'magic green' colour 5mm braided and 'sand' colour 5mm braided from 'Bobbiny'. It looks like the magic green colour is sold out on Bobbiny website. Try finding one on Etsy.
You are going to need 2 rolls of magic green and 1 roll of sand colour for this bag.
If you are a beginner, I would add 6 inches extra length for each cord since your knots can be inconsistent.

I am so amazed with all of your works. Do you have a measurement of cords if I have to use 3mm instead of 5mm? 5mm cords is so seldom sold here in our country.
Hi! I have not made this bag with 3mm cords but if you are using 3mm single strand or twisted cord, I would do the same measurement since those cords are not stretchy like the one I used😄

Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I made the bag. I'm just wondering if you use glue, or do you sew the bottom together when it is done to stop it from coming undone?

Congrats on finishing such a big project :) When I close up the bottom, I do very tight square knots and I believe it will not unravel very easily even with some weight. Hope this helps😄
How much macrame was needed in total for the whole bag?

Hi Angela, you attach 2 of 274cm cords on a D ring and then adjust the cords on the outside to be 214cm and the cords on the inside to be 61cm. Because the cords on the inside are filler cords and they stay still.

ft = foot is a unit of length. 1 ft = 12 inch = 30.48 cm.
