Against 12-personnel, KC is in base. Notice Leo Chenal up on the line defeating the TE on the back side of that play. There's a reason PIT ran away from Leo's side...
The big discussion for the Chiefs this off-season will be whether to pay Nick Bolton. He's in a contract year and will most likely command top 5 LB money (anywhere from $13M-$20M a year). The other big difference I see between him and these other highly paid linebackers and almost all of them are speedy and GREAT in coverage, which has been a weakness for Bolton ever since coming out of Mizzou. He's been a great player and the green dot for the Chiefs, but in order to sustain success they will not be able to keep every player. Drue Tranquill can wear the green dot in a pinch, however Bolton is 5 years younger at only 24 years old. And although you've still got Chenal who is physical and has played well this season, you still lose physicality and leadership by letting Bolton go. I doubt they're willing to set the market, however expect the Chiefs to pay big bucks, maybe $16M-$18M per year to keep him.
Best combo in the league. Jones gets the press but these two get it done.

Chenal is a beast and so versatile for this defense
I love to watch play breakdowns in the trenches. Excellent!
Glad you like them. More to come!

Awesome break down. I subscribed and Liked
Thank you very much!
12 personnel?
It's a way to say, first digit is number of RBs, second digit is number of TEs. So 12 personnel would be 1 RB, 2 TE.
@jeffkan1 oh
