  • Bowers and Wilkins (B&W) Concept 90s are a rarer speaker, I got my hands on. They look nice, and work great. Bowers and Wilkins made this speaker as a concept speaker, and enjoyed it so much they released it onto the public.

I own these in white. They are gorgeous. Hand built with Kevlar cones and beryllium tweeters. They take a huge amp to make them sing.

Please make an update video once you have restored these classic speakers

I have not heard the polks. Sorry. The paint on mine isn’t too bad. We have restored some of it already. Getting ready to sell ours. We cleaned them up and they are starting to look better. The concept 90 sounds similar to the dm series, just a bit smaller. They still perform very well.

Those tweeters are not aluminium but originally beryllium…

The tweeters on these are aluminium.
I haven't seen any references showing that the concept 90's have Beryllium. Do you have any material on that, been trying to find sources for them.
The ones I have are almost certainly aluminum as they've been replaced and are not Black Color. Which is part of my concern.
They sound great, none-the-less, but I want to test them to see how they perform. I got a microphone, but have been extremely busy.

FYI, The owner got the entire speakers paid for by the insurance, and I got a full refund. The speakers work great, and will be giving a second review of them soon. I was given the speakers (for free) as shipping wasn't worth it for the owner to take back and the insurance paid the full amount. Both me and the seller are happy. Always buy insurance, and please don't ship with the covers attached. That is what the seller mistakenly did. They should of boxed it separately. Looking for 3d printed covers if anyone can make them. I need a 3d scanner.
I sold a pair of B&W 603s s2s on Ebay about 10 years ago. I didn't check that account, and the seller reported that they were damaged on arrival. Sadly, I wasn't there to take care of it. I paid the UPS store to package and ship them. UPS refunded the person the entire amount, and they got to keep one of the good speakers and the parts. I found out a month later when I logged into Ebay. Sent the buyer a notice that I was happy it was taken care of.
      ALWAYS BUY INSURANCE! TAKE PHOTOS!
I've been doing this for years, and ship tons of speakers. Sometimes without the box. I always make sure I have adequate packaging, and always pay for insurance. I've only had issues about 1/20 times I've shipped, and I've always been taken care of with the insurance. Make sure to read the insurance policies, and buy supplemental insurance if they don't cover everything you like. If something happens, the buyer will earn a lot and the seller gets their money.
