My dude I really like your videos! They remind me of a simpler era of UA-cam where people just wanted to share cool stuff with others. It feels like this era is gone. No weird Raid Legends ads, no scripts, just a guy with a camera and a cool hobby. Always entertaining to watch. I don't know if you've already shown your collection before, but this is the first time I've seen it. Keep up the good work!
Pretty much sums up how I feel about it !
It's true, it has become everyday mainstream site, and all the rules makes ppl dont want to make vids anymore, it's almost impossible now, the best youtube days has ended 2-3 years or so ago, it begun approx 6-7 years ago, you know when something has been around for 10 years and stood the test of time, then it becomes mainstream, everybody start using it old ppl and kids, and then there must be rules, and then it just goes downwards almost every time, i wish youtube would have stayed in the middle of that graph, bu thats the same with everything in the world, from internet to food etc etc...
I Agree 😎
Indeed. Before Google bought UA-cam.
I feel the same
The particles could be natural sediment. Modern beers are filtered, removing yeast and sediment from the final product. Back in the 1970s a little bit of yeast was likely left in the beer in small amounts and after a time would leave sediment on the bottom of the can or bottle, just like wine. You should have poured out most of the contents and left behind the last, leaving the beer clearer.
This is the correct answer. Source: small brewery owner
I thought this until the microscope. Thise crystal shards resemble microscopic metal, and id be surprised if other ingredients would have a similar appearance. Those weren't organic shapes, and beer ingredients are mostly organic material if not all organic

Exactly what I was thinking. If it has carbonation in it. Probably still good. I Guess they would be a bit sour. But bet it wouldn't hurt you.
We missed you.
Should open a donation some way.
Im sure others would donate to see you do more vids like this.
Your vids fill a niche, and I love how in depth you go with analysis.
I’d like to see him open a Patreon account already!
@@tonyg6103 He does, his main channel is Post 10 and he has a Patreon on that channel's about page.
i just wanna say , my friends and i stumbled across your channel on new years eve 2019. we spent literal hours watching these into the new year and it’s become a tradition , we show people the channel all the time , whether they love it or hate it is up to them haha but we love keeping up with your videos because it’s genuinely so interesting and it’s cool to see someone so passionate and just wanting to share what they’ve found lol. also your setup has improved so much in the past couple years and that’s so dope !! we hope you have a happy new year !!!
rare to see such wholesome youtube comments but this made my day, makes me feel like I'm in 2013 lmao, blessing to you guys
Dude, I bet being your friend is awesome!
His main channel is Post 10. He posts on there all the time.
You are a special person on UA-cam, you arent trying to impress anyone, you just want to have fun and entertain your viewers and fans, which gives me a nice feel about your channel.
Yay you're back. Love the new setup. Hope you had a good Christmas and doing well.
I greatly enjoyed this, hope you don't leave again. I would legit contribute to a fund or whatever to help make more videos. But more importantly, this showed how just testing by eye doesn't mean much, I would've drank the most toxic one first just from looking at it, and would've never touched any of the ones you drank.
he never left. He's the busiest guy on youtube. Check out his other channel "Post10"
I like the setup you've made. These are valuable & entertaining videos, and show that the sniff & taste test doesn't often identify toxic contaminants.
Post you absolute legend. Sleeping in culverts and drinking beers one and a half times his age. Unreal. You are a gift.
I gotta say, seeing the mold on the tops and the amount of floaties… there’s no way in Brockton I’d be tasting any of them! You’re a brave man!
Wait, what? So you're telling me, that i've been watching this channel and your main channel separately for years without knowing that it's the same person?? Why did it never click to me that they both sound the same?? Post, you're a legend. Thank you for all that you do!
Wait.... what is his main channel
@@andread6056 Post10!
Same here, had no idea this is the same person as the drain guy, what a legend

Well damn, you promised to come back with a fresh content, and you certainly did!
Also, I'm thinking the "silt" is the dead yeast.
Bro, it's so wonderful to see you post. Happy New Year!!!
This style of filming is perfect for your channel please do more of this. I love your videos and the amount of knowledge you have of what you're presenting. Awesome man
The particles/sediment is probably yeast and protein. You will see that sort of thing in some modern beers too that aren't expired.
Blue Moon for example has a fair ammount of sediment in it. It actually instructs you to roll the bottle on a flat surface to loosen it up a bit and mix it.
thats exactly what it is, protein particles.
@@NeoNeoNeo yeah it definitely wasn’t yeast 😂 I wouldn’t drink that crap
Some of it might be but I still wouldn’t drink it 😬
Long time no see! Great video, worth the wait. My wife freaked out when I drank 5 year old beer from our, un-climate controlled garage. Gonna show her this video. Glad to see you man!
No particles no problem!
You are alive too!

I was so fired up when I saw you dropped something new! thank you for keeping that essence of what youtube is supposed to be! Love it!
love the videos! never stop making these old food videos.
I was just thinking about NEW&M earlier today while I was watching my daily dose of Post10. Great to see you back on this channel!
Huge fan of the new setup, I really cannot stress enough that I love the direction this channel is going. ❤
I love the room and the wood table! Very nice for vintage swag. Always nice to see more videos from you!
DUDE! A+ on your new setup. This is really exciting. I love your content and its really awesome to see this new "stage" you've created for your videos.
Love your interesting antique bottle/can collection. I can't imagine how nasty smelling all that old beer was. My great grandfather owned a brewery in Cleveland. Back in the day, it was a brewing mecca. It's becoming popular there again. Glad you are posting on this channel again !
It didn't smell bad for some reason it smells similar to wine
Have you ever got sick from tasting old stuff ? It’s really cool that some of them still had carbonation :) and I love your slim Jim mugs really cool ♥️♥️♥️
I'm so happy you're back 😭 and I love your collection in the background! I would absolutely not dare to try beer that old even if it was safe to drink 😅
So happy you're back!! Your channel is one of my favorites, thank you for the upload :)
The slowly growing smiley face picture in the background tripped me out for a minute hah. I was like wait did it just grow a mouth and an eye? 🤣
You’re telling me this is also the guy who goes around unclogging drains after storms? And he’s got slimjim mugs?? Man of my dreams right here
Omg I always knew it was him!! I had known it was his voice haha
Wait that is him?
If only he knew how to pour a beer
You just blew my mind lol (not sarcasm).
Yup it’s post10
Holy cow I almost forgot about your channel until this randomly popped up. Looks like the video quality has improved a lot! Your interests and channel are so niche and I love that and enjoy your passion for this interest
I am mind blown because I just now realized you’re post 10. I’ve been watching your other channel a lot and right now that I clicked on this one I was like “this guy looks like post 10” and then boom- it’s actually you. Love your content on both channels!
Yup, the one and only Post10 that stays in culverts for 36 hours and now proceeds to drink old stuff. Ghost10 has a lot to put up with I feel like. 😅
I like your videos. You are genuine and kind of get a bit of your perspective on things, which makes your videos unique when compared to other "youtubers".
Been awhile since you opened up old food, last time you did I think the pandemic started, so I’m a little scared.
Ayyy! New videos! Great work on the setup, I love your channel, it got a kind off "Ashens" vibe to it. Regards from Sweden
I knew that you would come back this winter, and it is wonderful to see you post new videos. Merry late Christmas and a happy new year!
Glad to see you back! I love your videos. You test/taste old products so we don’t have to.
One time I did get a half-filled sealed from the factory can of Mountain Dew, so filling errors do happen sometimes. I kept the can for a few years until the Mountain Dew ate through the can. The prior owner of the Schlitz can might have done the same.
I'm surprised that they threw the can after just a few months. Must have had a bad liner, I've had sodas left decades in cans. Some of those Factory errors can actually be worth a lot of money
@@NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore I’ve had a few recent vintage cans leak after a few years from the soda eating through the cans (football national championship commemorative cans). I think it’s just low quality thin aluminum they are using nowadays, nothing like the vintage cans in your video.
The man is back!! Better than ever! Love the setup too!
I had old bottles of beer still sealed with the beer looking the same way with lots of solid matter in it. I think thats from the ingredients of the beer breaking down a bit. Kind of like sediment. It did look like metal shavings under the microscope! Some interesting beers I have never heard of before!
It was a clearing agent they used. It would often make the beer cloudy, even when new. Schlitz often had problems with it.
@@5roundsrapid263 You heard the motto " I got the shitz from Shlitz!" Now we know why! 😂
the first slide under the scope looked like grain. which beer is made from. most beer is filtered now and won't have much sediment. a craft beer or a home brew will have a bunch of stuff in the bottom. even blue moon. they suggest rolling the bottles like a rolling pin before pouring some beers, to evenly distribute the sediment and not leave it at the bottom.
Your videos on Post 10 and this channel are some of the best on UA-cam.
So happy you're back Post10!! Your channel's are my favorites, thank you :) such a hard working and smart man.
Dude. I love the new set up! 😍 Your stuff got me through two weeks of hell in 2020 from COVID-19. Thank you for your wonderful videos.
When I was younger, liquor stores all around the Roslindale and West Roxbury areas in Massachusetts used to have these light fixtures either above the door or windows with the Schlitz logo. I have never seen a can of Schlitz anywhere, and I know of a few stores that still have the light fixture.
I have been watching Post 10 for years and I knew nothing of this channel. Love what you do and sharing fun interesting things and places.
It's always such a treat when you upload a new video!
Just wanted to say that i love your channel! It gives me a feeling that I can't describe, I just feel relaxed and welcome in every video! Greetings from Germany, may you have an awesome 2022.

that room is really awesome. great setup you have there. thanks for posting all of these videos for us to watch, they are quite entertaining and i know you've put in many hours of work so it is much appreciated. just finished your 'culvert camping' video and it was an excellent watch. that is a legit documentary and it deserves some kind of award!
Schlitz was the first beer I ever tried. My Dad gave it to me on New Year's Eve when I was around 13 years old, which would make it 1977. Ugh, disgusting!
Couldn't you find a can of Billy Beer? That was put out by President Jimmy Carter's brother in the late 70s.
I actually have a can that’s still full on my shelf
The Billy beer was not good when fresh and they do not have collectors value.
schlitz means slice, slicing. in german. it could also mean vagina.
@@Killuminati-gx1id "Sliced vagina"? I'd say that's truth in advertising!
666Killuminati777 I can see how slice can be interchanged for vagina haha
Happy to see you back! First of all, I really appreciate that you refuse to borrow anything from abandoned places. Thanks for the video, new place is amazing! Waiting for more content!
Schlitz was often cloudy when it was new. They changed the recipe around 1974-5 to save money. It was a huge mistake; their sales collapsed. That was the main reason they went under a few years later. There is a new version with the old recipe now.
Good to see you posting... the pull tops bring back alot of memories. Fantastic display room you have there !
Always nice to see Post10 on his other channels. Yes, he has other channels, check out Post10.
You are my favorite authentic youtuber
So interesting! I thought it was really gross on the show LOST when Sawyer drank the 70's 'Dharma' beer. 🤢 I love the set up here - very cool!
Damn you joined UA-cam 15 years ago? That's awesome 😎
Yeah, that particular episode is the one that came to my mind while watching this. So I guess Sawyer shouldn't have necessarily get poisoned drinking that old beer after all. Always wandered watching and rewatching Lost over the years.
Wow, you really upped the presentation, love the new format and setup!
He's back.
Was delighted to see a notification of a new upload! “Brown chunk” contaminates, metal particles….still taste tests it. 😂. Love the new set up as well!
Love seeing those old cans. Pull tabs! That takes me back to times when things were simpler! Thanks for the trip back!
Aye, I don't think you were verified a while back. Congrats man, you deserve it. I always look forward to new content.
I do wonder what a coffee filter would do to that beer with any of the stuff floating in it.
Great to see you back! Love the fantastic set you have. Happy New Year! 🍺🥂🍷
I love love your videos! Please keep posting. I'm not good at Science, but I really enjoyed you looking at it under the microscope. Too funny when you said "something's just moving around from the current, I hope " the "I hope " had me laughing. I love your office! Thank you for all you do
Glad to see you're back. Love your new filming area. Not sure I'd be daring enough to try some of this stuff, that sediment was nasty!
I'd love to see you find a can of Motts applesauce from the 90's, when it still came in metal cans. I used to eat it when I was a kid and I think it tasted better than it does now that in comes in the plastic containers. I wonder if they changed the recipe or the type of apples they use, or if there was just something about the canning process that made it taste better. It's hard to describe the difference, but I guess it was sweeter and had more of a homemade type of taste. It was more flavorful. The stuff they make now is watery and bland. I also used to like Libby's apricot nectar better when it came in the little metal cans with the foil pull tabs, too. I feel like it tasted better in those cans than it does in the modern pull tab cans in comes in now, for some reason. If you could find either of those things from the 90's, to do a video about, that would be great!
Sadly that product may not exist, apples are acidic and every time I have found a can of applesauce and burn through the bottom of the can and dried up, I do have videos of powdered applesauce that I have made that was very old
@@NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore I bet the apricot juice probably has the same issue too. I just can't believe you manage to find all this stuff, especially the stuff you didn't buy online.
So great to see you uploading on this channel again. Absolutely loved seeing your office collection. Thanks for all the great content
Congrats on 200k Post
Glad to see you back! I was getting worried!
Sweet! Saw that Schlitz can a lot as a kid. It was the most popular beer in America at the time, now I really see people drinking it. Lone Star was also really popular here.
I have some North Korean (bought from a DMZ tour) red wine I should send to you to try. It’s. In a small glass bottle. Not sure how to send it from Europe without it breaking. Any tips? Would love to see an old wine video (or maybe I missed it?).
Post 10 is one of a kind.
Love the new set up man. Getting better every day!
I remember watching the Cinema Snob (pretty sure it was him) drink very old beer once, & he poured it into a glass & it had teeny flecks of metal floating around in it & a metallic smell. So this is pretty much what I expected.
I half expected the first one to come out as vinegar.
Great setup! Love the microscope presentation at the end! Excited to see what else you have in store for us. Happy New Year!
Was this filmed in a giant culvert?
Me and my bf enjoy these videos so much! So glad to see you back thank you for providing with these awesome videos !
In 2010 or 2011 I was on vacation with my now ex gf in SE Asia and we stayed with her parents. This one day her brother and parents went to go run their food stand and she went with them and I was gonna meet her for lunch, but I was a heavy drinker (I was a grunt in the army and just came back from my third deployment in Iraq, so yeah... Heavy drinker) and I found myself in the apartment alone.
Her dad was also a heavy drinker so I raided his stash and he had all sorts of vintage wines even going back to the 70s, and so I drank all the fresh stuff first and then found this super neat ornate Japanese kettle of sake dated 1974.
I googled whether or not it's safe to drink booze that old, kept finding mixed answers, and drank it anyway.
By that point I was pretty drunk so I couldn't tell you if it elevated me any further than all the drinks I'd already had or not, and it tasted... "Funky" lol looking back, I think I drank cooking wine (knowing what I know now) I'm pretty sure that stuff turned into rice wine vinegar over time... I didn't have any adverse reaction though haha
😂😂 was he mad?
@@brewskie866 I don't think he even noticed really lol my ex however was PISSED lol I got too drunk, forgot about our lunch meet up time, and fell down and tried to get up multiple times but kept falling, and that's when I realized I'm gonna be down there for a while, so may as well take a nap before 12pm, then I woke up groggy and fkd up bad (wicked bad hangover. Probably from all that rice vinegar I drank+the compari straight+he Drambuie+the vintage wines that had all that sediment at the bottom) and it's dark outside, and she's standing over me madder than hell, hands on hips... That little thing was PISSED lol the half dozen or so tiny bruises from those tiny little fists hitting my bicep showed she was lol
