I think she's DA. She looks good in mustard, which is not a winter color. Also in dark orange-red (dark rust?) which is also for autumn. I also saw her in crisp white (W) and off-white dress, she looks better in the off-white. She's one of the D Autumns who can carry black well (not all can). I think it's because she's olive skinned (olive-warm). However, for celebrity pics, we're really making "guesstimates" since color analysis should be done without makeup on. (I was curious so I looked up pics of Penelope wearing diff dresses. Lol)
You did an individual video on dark winter which was fabulous. As i am confused which type i am can you do videos on true and bright winter or establish which i am ? i have green brown hazel eyes suit extreme bright colours black white metallics grey either very pale or dark, pastals have to be very fresh. Dark khakinot olives, in browns and greens either emerald, forest green/dark khaki not olive, chocolate brown or stone , not beige or terracotta
Thank you! If you have doubts on your skin undertone, my video on how to find your skin undertone shows you a professional image consultant technique to be able to tell! It's not too difficult. After you figure that out you can place yourself in one of the 4 seasons :D Let me know if you figure it out, I love knowing what seasons people are!
Hi! Your content is very helpful, thanks! Can you please tell me why you don’t talk about medium contrast in this video? I’ve heard I’m medium, but now I’m not sure. My skin tone and hair are a bit darker than yours. Thank you!
I wish you would show women with silver hair, you seem to focus on younger women . Please include more mature women as there is a lot of us out there, thanks ✨
Hi, I've heard from another vlogger that she uses historical photos of the person - as a child and your natural hair at ~20 yrs old. She bases the analysis from that, then uses the other components like eye color, undertone, value, contrast, intensity (chroma), etc. Your season could "fade" into a lighter/ softer/ muted season as you age. Example: true spring -> light spring, true summer -> soft summer, TA -> DA, TW -> DW. So, I think a safe bet would be to determine your main season (among the 4), then go for the more muted version. Hope that helps.
Watch my skin undertone video! I explain a way to test with fabrics that is very effective. I will also upload more comparing warm and cold seasons side by side. I'm glad this was helpful! Thank you for commenting!
Skin temperature: cool Value: high contrast/dark value Chroma: Winter- I have colored hair now so idk I'm gonnacomsider myself a low contrast cuz the hair stylist put orangy color for my hair even though I said don't. So I'm gonna make one here Skin temp: I look warmer but whatever I'm gonna consider myself a cool Value: low contrast Chroma: Summer
I have blue/grey eyes and middle brown hair with a golden tone in the sun Also my skin is light, I have blue&green veins and can easily tan in summer but i have overall more a pale skin. Also my eyebrows are naturally black. Cannot categorize myself
i have finally deduced that i am on the cooler side. i have suspected it, but wasn’t sure. but now it’s apparent to me that i am, and i have high contrast. it’s starting to make sense lol. now im second guessing myself lol
Say you have someone creamy pale with medium mousy hair and rather light green eyes. What would the contrast be there? I'm having a hard time understanding it. 😣
Dear Mikaela, thank you so much for your effort. Especially the many examples are helpful. What I am struggling with is analysing myself after colouring my hair and eyebrows a darker shade (black instead of brown). I think I am enhancing my features by maximizing the contrasts (going for a Snowhite look), but what if instead I am just focusing on a palette that is wrong for me?
i did a similar thing like you. i am a dark autumn and i always colour my hair darker in winter as i need more contrast to enhance my brightness, otherwise i will look too muted for my lighter and more neutral skin and therefore quite dull. if you are really pale white and have naturally dark brown hair, dark eyes and otherwise light features your primary characertistic is already this contrast and you will find yourself in the winter or autumn spectrum. now its just a matter of leaning more towards cool oder warm and muted or bright. if you sucessfully determine if cooler or warmer colours suit you better you can not be in the wrong palette, as the shade of brown of your hair will not change the overall warmth or coolness of your face . if you picked a bluish black and it suits you, chances are you are cool. if it clashes with your skin (and you will most likely notice something being off) then try a warmer dark brown and note that you might be more neutral or warm. if you manually change your features drastically it will change your colour palette aswell. if you were a natural summer and coloured your hair black you would be able to pull off colours of the winter palette aswell and will maybe find it difficult to pull of your usual bright colours because of the increased contrast you now have and that you didnt have before. it would probably not be your ideal palette but if you change your colours by just enhancing the contrast you already have, it will not be enough to change your entire palette. also you mentioned that you feel like you are enhancing your features by going darker. that in itself is a sign that you already are a winter or autumn person because other types do not react that positively to increasing contrast to their features. so: changing your features can change your palette as it changes the contrast levels of your appearance, but it will only change the shades of colours that already suited you before because of the temperature of your skin.
Danke dir sehr!

I love the idea of reducing waste! Great tips here so I can find out what colors suit me best.
knowing what colors suit you is definitely helpful to choose the right clothes that you love and keep forever
You are a pro! Explaining it all perfectly simple, when bunch of stylists couldn’t so far!
thank youuu so much, you're so sweet
So I've seen Penelope Cruz listed as both Dark Autumn and Dark Winter. Which is she?

Very interesting video! It'll help me pick out a better look when I go back to work.
Yes! Look your best

Thanks this video helps so much! ❤️I get stuck on warm and cool cause i think I’m neutral, so I’m stuck between dark autumn or winter 😭

Hey Mikaela, thanks for the video but what do you mean by havu=ing depth in the eye
Hmm I find this so hard to categorise myself as my skin tone is cool but my hair and eyes are both warm
Ive watched so many of these types and none of them explained these seasons so well.
i have finally deduced that i am on the cooler side. i have suspected it, but wasn’t sure. but now it’s apparent to me that i am, and i have high contrast. it’s starting to make sense lol.

What about muted autumn/soft autumn?
Say you have someone creamy pale with medium mousy hair and rather light green eyes. What would the contrast be there? I'm having a hard time understanding it. 😣
Hi, I think that would be low contrast.
Im in between Summer and Winter. All I know is bright colors look good on me 😂
If I’m a low(ish) contrast autumn does that make me a soft autumn?
hey what season are you because you look a lot like me? and thank you for the video.
Dark winter!
But Spring season is for Warm undertone and HIGH CONTRAST??
I’m still stuck trying to figure out my skin colour and undertone. Will watch that video first.
