I have been putting this job off for ages (coving around a bay window) followed your instructions and it looks like its been done by a pro. (I'm not!) - took photographs but cant put them in the comments box - You're a Star!!
made mine today after watching the video yesterday. it was fun to do (gave me an excuse to use my jigsaw for the first time, then smelling burning and using my circular saw for the second time. lmao) and dead simple. I just used scrap wood laying 'round the house (loft hatch for the bottom, left over floor chipboard for the sides). wasn't as easy as pre-cut wood, but at least it cost me nothing and I can now put the little bits left over in the bin instead of having it, well, laying 'round the house. took me around an hour + change in total to do it all. tried it out on some scrap coving, then did the real job because it looked PERFECT when cut! so I'm thrilled, thank you so much for this vid!!!
Can i ask how you fitted the 110mm side to the mdf template? Nails or screws or glue? How do you keep them in place at the right angle when you fix them? Also how do you find the angle down the middle?
cheers buddy, trying to cove my living room and the whole room is out of square by over a foot... so prebought corners are a no no.. shall be trying your technique instead
Thank you for taking the time to post this video it has helped me enormously.
Just came across this. Helped me massively with an awkward hallway. Job done thanks to this. Much appreciated 👍👍👍.
This is the best video by far for internal joins on coving. Takes awhile to construct but so worth it. My join is spot on! Thank you 👍🏻
