Just got back from the movie. This dude is not to be messed with
He mad @ miles for himself working for an evil dude , never understood that abt villains
Did you guys get the reference from the first movie of how he turned to spot was because of the bagel
@@GMQub well hes smart and he has to work and get money so i wouldn't blame him
This man is an example that despite how silly some of spider-man’s rouges can look like they can be giant threats
its only right considering spiderman is one of the strongest heroes
@@kamewantor4594 true. tbh i think if used by someone smart, he can be pretty deadly than most villains too.
If I remember correctly! Mysterio almost took over the world and nearly body the entire heroes there was and it took Spidey a minute to think about it and took him down like that while the rest struggled to defeat him.
Edit: also Spidey rouge are very capable of being a massive threat, if they were given proper guidance. Shoot, even one of the big shot villains took notice of his untapped potential and he's the very reason of why Mysterio was able to body a good chunk of the heroes.
@@kamewantor4594dude looks like a mascot for a dairy brand. You are lying if you think he's menacing.
The fact that Carnage ripped him to literally pieces and took his powers and still The Spot said that he'll be back shows not only how powerful he is but how durable.
He probably could teleport to said dimension and he probably learned to control it so he could heal there
He can kill someone brutally with that ability
@@matthewschwartz6607 Nah before his transformation he was a rather dedicated scientist. You can even tell on the panels where his body was transformed he was disappointed when he saw the portal fading that he wouldn't be able to examine it as opposed to just being glad he wasn't trapped.
And now he’s almost boundless. Man things escalated quickly in that movie.
Kinda overestimating him I’d say he has the HUGE gap potential but not really boundless for me
He copied the powers of cloak neither him or cloak are boundless in the comics and he ain’t really boundless in the movie either
A nerdy scientist came back from a random dimension and got jakced
@@eraykocer135 that time i got reincarned into a super villain with spots that i fight a super hero with and
Make a video about "cloak" i see him very rarely and he is pretty badass
@@nightshade3115 yeah, but both of them are hard to find because of their Cloak and Dagger mentality. 🥁
He and Dagger appear in the Marvel Card game Marvel Snap, most less known characters are in the game
Also cloak and dagger are in the later seasons of ultimate Spider-Man
And now he is the most powerful being ever in cinematic verse that can literally teleport to any universe
Bro is literally trypophobia personified
@brendaanderson2603 same. But i can definitely handle it.
Save me pls it scary
His holes for me aren’t close enough or rigid enough to activate my trypophobia, but I can understand how others might still get it
I really loved him in the 90s cartoon. I also love his powers no matter how silly he looks.
he has an insanely good design, at least when he doesn’t have a face.. he isn’t polkadot man
@@LilOaksbut Polka-dot man was made 20 years before spot and originally his body wasnt effected by some cosmic virus but it was his high tech belt that produced the Polka Dots that can turn into any object, or teleport him.
Spot is dark edgy Polka Dot man but with a multidimensional virus effecting his body.
I feel like they were based off of one another like many characters but this time Marvel made a ironically more DC character while DC made the ironically more Marvel character.
@@aerystargaryenii2565 yeah I know I know.. doesn’t take away from how ugly polka-dot man is. Just like Marvels Gladiator. I feel like comic characters can get away with wicked designs but wonky color schemes are the major factor making a character ugly.
@@LilOaks oh well if we going on appearances, style and use of ability of course Spot is going to win. The only question is why hasn't marvel seen his worth? James Gunn and others had DC's bottom of the Barrel characters take center stage these past few years. Hell even KiteMan got alot of love recently.
Embracing the absurdity is hard to do but something James Gunn is a master at, but spot isn't that absurd he can be portrayed in a horror like dark mercenary hunting deadpool, or a goofy thief escaping spider-man. There's a hundred things they could do with Spot yet they haven't even dared to touch him not even in Agents of Shield, or the Disney Plus shows.
but his design with a big ass black spot on his face instead of a human face looks so cool
The line “Unfortunately for both of us, this is skin.” is even more fitting considering he was trying to replicate the properties of a superhero’s suit
He seems to be making a comeback in the comics and other series. Cool! He can be a cool character.
Well with the CGI now he should have made an appearance somewere in the past 10 years.
He was a freaking Menace in across the spider-verse and absolutely terrifying
love the divide of youtube comments like this and tumblr with art of him as a catboy calling him a scrunkly
@@ARCHIVED9610 I mean tbf, he was also kinda dorky & self-proclaimed ”handsome” before he realised how absolutely boundless his power could be.
Now I’m wondering how Miles & his amazing spider friends are gonna beat his ass…
I feel like Spot's origin story in Across the Spider-verse started when Miles destroyed the machine. And now, he is hunting him because he found out he was the one who caused him to be that.
Kinda explains why his powers and why he can destroy universes (can be seen from the trailers)
For what i know, the Spot was always a thief, not a killer or a world destroyer
Spots not even really a villan he's more of a vigilante and just neutral him and daredevil have teamed on on occasion
@@vinceisdead6063 i heard there’s a comic we’re spot hides drugs inside of the belly of multiple pregnant women that he kidnapped
Goofy really thought he was minos prime 💀
The Dalmatian man
Who else is seeing this after seeing across the spiderverse
His design version where his face is just a black spot, is underrated: he have a interresting horror potential, I think Sam Raimi would vibe with him...
If you know what I mean.
There are some really freaky body horror panels where he has countless hands and limbs coming out of himself
I remember him from the 90s cartoon and DAMN he was awesome there, really was one of my favorite spider-man villains
Update to the video: Apparently he can travel through different universes as well.
And now this mf is Miles’ nemesis pretty much
Miles left the chat
His powers are untapped. He needs more panel time in comics. He also needs to have a card in marvel snap.
He will definitely have to do something with moving though, so he would be very useful in traversing. Like how doctor strange can open portals to get the highest power card to a different spot
@@typicalgaming1347 I'd just give him the same effect as the strange academy. Moves all the cards in the zone he's played to random available spaces.
u know he can use the same barrage abilities like dough fruit if he mastered the spots power
I knew about the Spot years before the new movie. I love Spider-Man’s more obscure villains, and seeing them get some time in the spotlight.
He was in Spider-Man into spider verse is crazy cause I literally watched it today at the movie theaters
Watch across the spider-verse his powers are op af
Spot is offically my new favorite villian
This is from Spider man across the Spider-Verse
"No I'm not just going to be the weekly villain anymore, I'm gonna creace your Jay's spiderman."
"looks like I'll be leaving this floor... Spotless"
"*Sprays x shaped web* looks like I've marked the spot"
Spiderman must have a whole horde of quips ready when this guy comes around
Spot is a goofy ahh name but has an interesting power
This man is def not the villain of the week 🗿
He is the one person that give people that particular phobia.
Really wish cloak and dagger got a season 3😢
@@jjwang7597 bruh... there are A LOT of Marvel shows that came out in the last 15 years... that no one knew were Marvel shows or knew about period.
@@RtistiqSkubiethe fact that there was a whole street level marvel universe with their shows and nobody talks about it is crazy. You had luke cage, Jessica Jones, daredevil, punisher, iron fist, cloak and dagger, and some X-Men characters from the show gifted.
I loved him in that 90's spiderman show
I love how the spot went from being a goofy villain to being a genuinely creepy and terrifying villain in across the spider-verse worse part miles technically did this to himself if he just taken spot seriously he wouldn't be a multidimensional threat
spiderman found out that he has a limit, he can't use all his spots, then he turns completely white and can be knocked down.
I love they made this goofy robber into a multidimensional threat in the movie.
He's extra dangerous because spider-sense doesn't work on his portal attacks.
The G spot as a supervillain.
Let‘s be real here DD and Spidey pretty much share the same villains
I love the spot and I’m glad he’s making an appearance in animated media again but they did not have to do him that dirty in across the spiderverse.
They seem to be going the path where he’s a clumsy and pathetic villain at the start, but as the film progresses he learns how to use his abilities and by the end of the film and going into the third is an actual threat.
“No I’m not gonna be some villain of the week anymore, IM GONNA CREASE YOUR JAYS SPIDER-MAN.”
Probably show a flashbacks from the first movie of him being sucked in during the king pin vs miles fight now I see why they chose him as the main villain for this one.
He looks terrifying in one of the tv spots of spider verse
*First encounter*
Spider-Man: "So...Who are you?"
The Spot: "I got bit by a radioactive dalmatian."
Spider-Man: "R-Really....?"
*Gets punched via portal*
The Spot: "No."
Imagine being in an empty, void-like dimension for an unknown amount of time, and being lucky enough where your method of escape is also now your superpower 😬
Believe me he is one of the best science defender 🗿
Mcoc player can relate
His power was my favorite after seeing it.
Finally a formidable opponent for Rorschach
I remember this guy opening a huge portal above the city and in order to close it, he had to sacrifice himself and close it from the inside.
Ya I rmr that... literally stops a portal from becoming an increasing Black Hole...he jumped in to stop a literal global disaster. This is not a guy you wanna mess
with...EVER
This guy deserves a Bagel origin story in some animated movie
hes backstory reminds me that of scp 106 the old man. both were stuck in a pocket dimension and gained portal powers.
As someone with trypophobia,I can confirm he is the scariest villain ever
🌑🦇👿Cloak is a badass 👿🦇🌑
Man can rip off Space-time in base form, his full form would be OP
Bro got this power by a fucking bagel 💀
So if his body has spots all over, is he wearing a costume to mimick his actual skin or is he just running around naked? These are the questions that need answers.
We do know of one limit: creating the portals removes them from his body. so the more portals he throws out, the less invulnerable he his. He can also run out of spots to throw.
I feel like he’d be an amazing villain to make a movie about. A story about a guy who grew up just wanting to do something good with his big brain, but his decisions keep putting him in worse and worse situations.
I imagine he’s a smart, nerdy kid like Peter Parker, but maybe not quite as social so he tries to impress people by being smart. He graduates early from MIT. Eventually he gets a job for Kingpin thinking he’s going to do good for the city. He thinks he’s making a renewable energy source by taking small portions of hawking radiation existing between realities and bringing them into this reality and storing it in a high tech battery. He goes to work one day when an accident kills a lot of people and sends him into another dimension. The dimension is completely void. He would describe it as if all of his senses just stopped at once. He can’t see his hands in front of him. He can’t smell or hear anything. He can’t even taste his breath when he burps. He sits in the void and can only think about all of his coworkers who lost their lives because of him. He starts trying to move but can’t tell if he’s making any progress or not. After some time passes he notices a white dot. He’s not sure how long it’s been, but it’s been long enough for him to almost forget what colors are. He moves closer to the dot and as he gets closer the dot starts changing all different colors. But, before he can react to it he feels gravity again for the first time. He falls through the dot and lands in Central Park still wearing his uniform. He gets up to look around and sees on a newspaper that kingpin is now the mayor and rushes to find him seeking help.
Before he can get far he’s arrested. After returning from the empty dimension he feels sick, empty and his skin is lacking all pigmentation except for a few black freckles scattered across his body. He’s crying and begging the guards to help him see a doctor and pleads explaining that he used to be one of Kingpins top scientists and doesn’t want to cause an issue. One of the guards tells him that the people he’s killed couldn’t get to a doctor, so why should he? Before he can answer, Kingpin’s footsteps are heard from down the hallway.
When kingpin arrives he has a servants bring in an entire feast for his former employee. He opens the cell and sits down for dinner with him. As they’re eating, Dr. Ohnn (I just googled his real name) asks why he’s being blamed and imprisoned when the deaths were clearly an accident. Kingpin explains that there was a scheme to use the energy source as a weapon and because he was the main scientist he was blamed, but Kingpin assured him that he would help him get out and into a nicer place in the morning. Dr. Ohnn tells kingpin everything he could about the alternate dimension. After they finish eating Kingpin assures him once more saying that he feels for him. Dr. Ohnn lost his career and reputation and Kingpin lost his family. As kingpin leaves another guard brings Dr. Ohnn blankets and pillows with the initials WF embroidered on them for him to rest for the night.
As Dr. Ohnn lays down he realizes that he can’t sleep despite being wrapped in the most luxurious and comfortable linens in the city. He decides to sit up and think about how the next day is going to go when one of his freckles catches his eye. He can see through it. But, he wasn’t seeing his cell, he can see one of the guards from earlier sneaking down the hallway with his weapon drawn. He leans back and starts hearing footsteps. The guard is coming towards his cell. Now realizing what is about to happen, Dr. Ohnn accepts his fate. He has nowhere to run so he sits against the wall and waits. He looks back at his arm like a watch counting down the seconds, when suddenly his freckle falls off and gets bigger on the floor. He has a clear view of the guard now and can see that his time is just about up. With nothing left to lose, Dr. Ohnn steps onto the freckle and falls again through the void, but this time he lands immediately behind the guard, right where he was viewing from. He turns and runs and as the guard turns the corner he can hear the guard calling to let the others know he’s escaped.
This leaves him alone and learning about his powers by himself. His story would be that of someone who has the best of intentions but lots of trust and social issues. The only person to ever celebrate him for being him is kingpin, but kingpin is also the reason he will never be celebrated. And a character like that would totally hate Peter Parker bc Parker has everything he has ever wanted, love and acceptance.

“That hit the spot.”
Why do the most obscure villains have the coolest powers
I love a teleporting abilities like this, if used correctly the user can very dangerous
This dude is now the biggest menace in the mcu
I like how everytime a villains or heroes body changes THERE PP GETS ERASED
I was a fan when I was a kid. His power lets writers do really creative things and I don't know why they don't do more with him.
I can't believe the fact that he was one of the least known villains.
Dude's dangerous and powerful, so the decision to make him a main villain was a very good idea.
He's the one of the tings from the movie people can't stop talking about and I'm all here for it.

An underrated villian and one of my favorites when I was younger
I was so hoping he'd make an appearance in one of the newer Spider-Man games. The Spot would make for a hella interesting boss fight
I didnt grow up in the 80's or 90's during the comic era's so its always fun to learn about older villains that haven't had modern takes.
I love hearing about heros or villains I’ve never heard of. They always tend to be the more intriguing ones.
