Yeah...it's really a shame. I really liked the depht they'd give to Paul.
Got very disappointed with what they did to him in Tekken 5 onwards.

Reminder that Kazuya and Paul had a battle prior to the first King of Iron Fist Tournament that ended in a draw and Paul's reason for entering was because he wanted to settle the score with Kazuya. Supposedly their 2nd match lasted for hours until Kazuya eventually triumphed over Paul.
What a great shame for Namco to completely ignore that part of the story in the later Tekken games. After reading about Paul fighting through the 3rd KOTIF tournament and even defeating Ogre, his rematch with Kazuya was highly anticipated.
probably the only reason I'd actually want a Tekken 0 or a Tekken 1 remake with elements from the lore that describe events that happened prior to Tekken 1
@@ShadowYamoto IIRC, Paul defeated Heihachi in the semi-finals of Tekken 2. The only reason he and Kazuya didn't have their rematch was because he got stuck in traffic, which DQ'ed him and gave Heihachi the right to face Kazuya instead.
Canonically speaking, Paul is the only known character to have ever beaten 2 out of 3 of the main Mishima clansmen (Heihachi and Jin). It's just Kazuya who has yet to have a proper rematch and defeat.
How do you know about these events?
@@AlbertRei3424 Tekken 1's instruction manual. it lists plenty of canonical lore details, like that Kazuya's hobby is collecting Sneakers.

Kazuya and Heihachi's voices would fit perfectly into Tekken 7 lol. These are extremely clear especially compared to other people's mods

@NiCoNiCoNiCola Yeah, the manual for T1 discussed Kazuya doing a coup to take over stuff. That's why Russia sent Jack to the tourney to try to stop him. Namco then expands upon Kazuya's actions in the sequel.
Tekken really needs to go back to their Roots. I miss those catchy Stage Themes.

Kazuya and Paul used to be the Ryu and Ken of Tekken. It really clear just looking at their outfit. Until NAMCO had another plan.

I would love to see a mod of Tekken 7 where they replace the regular models to the TTT 1 models.
Funny thing that older models have much better aesthetics to them.

It's clearly been stated in canon that the draw happened BEFORE Tekken 1. In Tekken 1, Kazuya defeated Paul in the finals before facing Heihachi, while King I secured third place. Just admit that you're wrong.

I had made Kazuya's Tekken 1 outfit in Tekken 6. Was one of my favorite customizations, in spite of its simplicity.
Heihachi uses Jack's voice set in Tekken 1.
I'm completely aware of that, there wasn't a voice set for it so I just used the Tekken 2 voice.

Kazuya and Paul only fought in the first ever king of iron fist tournament and it ended in a draw and never have a rematch since then
Kazuya and heihachi fought and for a while they were even but kazuya knew that he was about to lose so he called his partner devil to give him power so devil give his power to kazuya ( I don't mean transform) and kazuya is stronger than before and defeated heihachi and finally exact his revenge

How i would Do the Story of Tekken 1 Remake.
Prologue is the Story of heihachi and Kazumi. I put akuma out of the Story and Kazumi will be cursed by a Witch and become the devil gene while she is pregnant With kazuya. Then i would Do anything like in Tekken 7, so heihachi kills Kazumi, beats Jinpachi to get the Control of the mishima Zaibatsu and throws kazuya off a cliff.
20 years later:
Kazuya is Walking in the City and looks at a big screen and lee announces the Tekken Tournament.
During tournament:
The fighters are on a Island.
Kazuya and Jun meet each other. He is a badass But is also attracted to her, so they go on a date and build up a relationship.
Marshall Law and Paul meet each other for the first time during the tournament
Bryan fury is also in the tournament But Not as a cyborg. He is a human But wants to become a cyborg, so He enters the Tournament to find Yoshimitsu and Dr B.
He works With Kunimitsu together who wants to kill Yoshimitsu.
I would Do it like a Good vs evil Team
Kazuya, Jun, Lei, Yoshimitsu and Wang jinrei vs Lee, Anna, Nina, Bryan and Kunimitsu.
Lei also has a rivalry With bryan, so i would put that also in the story.
The tournament final:
Kazuya vs Paul. Both Knock out each other and first one who stand up is the winner of the tournament. Its kazuya
1 Day after the tournament lee wants to bring kazuya to heihachi, But lee says that He wants the mishima Zaibatsu. So we have a fight between lee and kazuya and after that we have the fight kazuya vs heihachi.
That would be perfect, But i know Harada would never be so creative to Do this
