Just don't understand why capcom prefer c.viper than capt.comm. Captain Commando is way better than her in so many ways. UMVC3 need this guy, besides, Ryu and Akuma has similar moveset, why not this one?

I always loved how a lot of these arrangements (mostly Capcom's arrangements but i noticed this with a couple or few Namco arrangements as well) sort of sound like they have samples of the original tracks in there. While others are just completely faithful arrangements.

This incarnation of Captain Commando really takes the improvement from Marvel vs Capcom to a lot more next levels for these reasons: -More faithful rendition from the original game's 1st stage music. -Better instruments to improve the above. -IMO, better seiyuu for Captain Commando. No offense to Takashi Nagasako, but Ryotaro Okiayu really delivers CapCom's line more epically and confidently befitting of a superhero. Fittingly, I never really used Commando seriously in MVC, but he never leaves my deployment squad in NXC.

@Jegudiel29ZX The general excuse is because of his moveset. A lot of them involve transforming something, which would need them to make a 3D model for nearly every move and they just can't be assed.

Whgen the ps1 came out, that should have opened up game making freedom, but instead it opened one door and shut the other. If they they advertised it right and made it cool enough, it would sell regardless if it was fully 3d or a sidescroller
Bottom line they're not the same they just have the same elements and pound the ground. They have one kick that is similar and an elbow drop. The rest they don't share.
Captain Commando is definitely a cool character, I guess the game designers in M\/C 3 just were too perverted and wanted to use a more modern version aka Crimson \/iper as his replacement.

@CaptainGinyu it's altogether possible they're putting in unlockable characters again and making him one of them. It isn't likely, but it's still possible.
@Procyonidae The only thing that makes them clearly similar is that they both pound the ground and they both use fire and electricity. Except now Viper has an optic blast. There's many other characters that pound the ground with fire or electricity and have the same abilities in the game. Doom pounds the ground with electricity, Dante with fire etc etc. Viper doesn't use electricity when she pounds the ground and it's also done differently. Cont below

His Captain Sword was too powerful that destroyed the Galactus battlezone and thats why Cap. Comando isnt on the game.
