The reason Of Machines was so great in the first place was because the singing went so perfect with the jams and since it was so unique it became famous. I wish they just had more clean vocals with screams in the background
This is just amazing. I honestly love when a band gets back together because there is no restrictions on what kind of music they wanna write next. This new album is gonna be amazing. Their first album was great, and this will be even better. From First To Last, and a band called At The Throne Of Judgement also got back together. Great bands like that get to actually write what they feel and love. I for one am stoked for all of them and support their own unique versions of self expression.
You can't just expect a band to quit and comeback after some years and have the same sound as well as access to the same quality recording tools. Sounds great guys. Always love the cleans.
It's been five years, they're not going to re-write "As Everything Was Held In Place" because what is the point? I can't wait for the rest and truly hope they continue as a band. Their old stuff is untouchable, but this is awesome in it's own new way. The whole song is awesome.

At first listen i was extremely caught off guard by the sound but grew to love it. Especially when combined with the lyrics it gives it feeling and emotions. I loved it ever since the 2nd listen and this is what i remember Of Machines being; unique music coupled with lyrics written by people who care about what they have to say. Cannot wait for the EP to be released. Sidenote: This is one of the few bands i can still listen to in the "Hardcore" genre because its all become so stale and uninspired.
they've changed so much, yet maintained their sound in such a unique way. and the mixing is perfect. i'm so fucking excited for this EP even if i never got the shirt or "special suprise" from the band. plus those lyrics are beautiful. 10/10
The only reason I hope we haven't heard more of the album is because they are the caring loving band they are that heard the cries for a new EP and are looking at the comments, taking notice, and making badass music.
I've been a fan since their first album, and honestly, hearing that they are coming back brings me all sorts of joy! This song is amazing, regardless of what people say, they have grown up some since last they composed music together, and I honestly can wait to hear the rest.
This is OM my friends, a group of talented persons that has grown in the past 4 years of being disbanded, if you wanted the old sound, u would have to get your delorean´s and make them write more songs on 2009, because talented people dont go backwards

Dylan Anderson always impress's. As for the production/mastering. I think we're all use to the Rise sound so that's kinda what we were expecting. Understand every engineer has there own "Style" of Producing, Mixing and Mastering. Listening too this carefully all the levels seem right. I don't hear anything over powering anything. Everything is pretty clean to me. Good Job on everything Kenny!
grvtyhrtz Rise is stupid for not signing them again? Quite the opposite; Rise (and Artery) gave up on them, which was the reasonable thing to do from a business perspective. They dealt with it for however long, but since the band still couldn't fix themself, they gave up. Instead of hating on Rise for not resigning them, you should thank them for signing such a great band in the first place; they hadn't even played a single show at the time. Btw, Rise _has_ noticed them; the first song was taken down due to copyright, and Rise allowed them to post it.
I was just thinking the same thing yesterday. It's honestly a damn shame these guys didn't get to make more music. I'll keep my fingers crossed though.

the first half reminds me a lot of underoath's lost in the sound of seperation. autobiography pt. 2 has to be my favorite though.
