Wow, imagine this done in a whole room with white silk satin, white silk voile and cloth of gold, with loads more fairy lights. Or a tent in the woods hung with those fabrics. What a sumptuous sight that would be to behold!
Me and my family are moving so we're gonna redecorate my room (I shared with my siblings) this video gave so many ideas! You're instructions were so clear better then other videos, thanks!
Thanks so much for this tutorial, here are some tips that helped me :) - if your lights aren't very bright you may want to get a sheer fabric instead of cotton - use safety hooks because they have a latch to keep the light from falling, so you don't have to go through the extra effort of tying the light to the hook with fishing line -make sure to be very gentle with the ceiling hooks; don't pull down on it or else the hook will fall
I was looking for the internet to tell me I would see the fairy lights through muslin … every single article talks about sheer tulle until you. Thanks! 🌟looks awesome !!
Enjoyable to watch, and you took the mystery out of a project that everybody else seems to make way too complicated. And I loved your hair with the low Italian ponytail you look like the angel fairy goddess DIY teacher
We are about to re-do our daughters room. Mermaid theme. Your tutorial was budget friendly, easier and beautiful. My 6 year old is super excited! Continue your DIY's!
My daughter did something similar for mother’s day she got blue multi fuction net lights and black mosquito net and pinned the lights up first then the net turning my plane old bed into a lit up 4 poster 😍
The lights you put up, are they really a yellowish gold glow? I bought string lights but they are very fluorescent and way too night. I like the soft yellow glow. Watched your video, ty so much as this will be much easier.
Go to a website called wish. You will find ALL types of lights CHEAP. Now I will have to warn you , when you go to this site be careful not to get. . . Hooked. lol
Love the tutorial! Is the muslin totally opaque or can you see through a bit (during the day vs at night with the lights on)? I want to do this as a privacy curtain as well.
I love the video and I love the great details you have for each step, it's so extremely helpful! I just wish that you recorded a better view of the final results. I feel like I can't get a nice, full view of how it looked. I can see that the sheet went behind your bed frame, but what about the end of your bed? Was the sheet long enough to hang over the end as well? I hope that makes sense.
good question, because you have a queen size bed, add another 7 yards, because your bed is wider, you need to triple up the fabric instead of doubling it like i did in the vide
Thanks for the video! How did your light hold up? Customers on Amazon complained that the lights shorted out, didnt work at all or only lasted a few dats.
Auuuuugh! This was so cute and amazing! But behind my bed is a huge painting with. Bunch of wall decals on it too...any tips on how I can do this otherwise?
Very beautiful, but I’m still a bit confused about the pattern of the lights and the way you pinned the fabric with safety pins. You said to pin them up, but how and where. Maybe I’m not with it, but I want to try this with some fabric in my granddaughter’s room at my house. I’m doing this with bunk beds. I hope it comes out half as nice as yours!
Pastelitas I sure will ! 💙 I'm moving soon and I'm trying to make my new room more my style and my own little bat cave 💙 I'm going to have to find and re paint all funatuire black and I just can't wait 💙💙 I'm so excited for my move
do these led lights have levels you can change them to because I've seen some ked kught like this that have levels and hiw fats they blink. if not can it be done with the level changing lights?
Okay so I went to buy some of the lights you used in tutorial but all I found was " LED curtain string lights (300)" would the 300 be to much or would it be to little ??
For my bedroom I just brought a staple gun n stapled everything....be very careful with the lights though as they will obviously break if u damage the wire.. xx
Wow, imagine this done in a whole room with white silk satin, white silk voile and cloth of gold, with loads more fairy lights. Or a tent in the woods hung with those fabrics. What a sumptuous sight that would be to behold!

This video really was useful Thank you
The safety pins helped me , thanks. Great job. Also, the name of the material. I bought netting not knowing the name of a nice material.
Thank you for this tutorial. I will definitely try it. Thanks
Thanks soooooooo much pulse I love your outfit!!!!!🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄
heidi coleman thanks! im glad you enjoyed it!
You could use small clear rubber bands to tie them to the hooks, rather than fish line or sticky tape.
i might do this
Freya Lee you should go for it!!
Yeah i willl, me and my dad are finding things like this.
Just one question, What is white muslin cotton fabric
ok thanks
I was just about to wayyy overcomplicate this by not knowing what the heck I'm doing. 🤣

The lights you put up, are they really a yellowish gold glow? I bought string lights but they are very fluorescent and way too night. I like the soft yellow glow. Watched your video, ty so much as this will be much easier.
Beautiful!
This looks so cool but the link for the string lights isn't available anymore-- what are the measurements so I can find something similar?
Angelina Jobson im thinking about 7 feet
Pastelitas thank youuu
Angelina Jobson no problem ^_^
Pastelitas can I use another type of string lights?
Go to a website called wish. You will find ALL types of lights CHEAP. Now I will have to warn you , when you go to this site be careful not to get. . . Hooked. lol
perfection!
i wan't to try this but is it safe, like my house won't burn down
Venla aurora you have to be careful on which lights you use, the ones i used are perfect for this
Pastelitas ok thanks
Hey since the links not working and I can't tell what kind of lights are being used I just wanted to add that any led string lights are very safe!
Call the ambulance my house burnt down because of the LED lights in my bedroom!!
Sophie Nic LED lights don't get hot. But normal Christmas string lights do.
If we didn't have a ceiling fan, I would do this in my master bedroom.
So pretty😍😍
Love the tutorial! Is the muslin totally opaque or can you see through a bit (during the day vs at night with the lights on)? I want to do this as a privacy curtain as well.
it's pretty opaque!
I love the video and I love the great details you have for each step, it's so extremely helpful! I just wish that you recorded a better view of the final results. Was the sheet long enough to hang over the end as well?
I hope that makes sense.
Hen Mediavilla it hung halfway off the edge :) thank you for tje compliment!
does the 15 yards go for any size bed ? i have a queen size bed and i want it to look just like yours
good question, because you have a queen size bed, add another 7 yards, because your bed is wider, you need to triple up the fabric instead of doubling it like i did in the vide
TheAwesome Felicity you can just leave the wall exposed
Pastelitas omg I'm so late to reply!!!! I'm so thankful for that tip! I have finally done my own canopy! Thxx!
Really cool love it
Little Buddy thanks buddy!
A great video!
i really wanna know how much of the fairy lights you used like in ft or cm
Alizey Waheed I used one set, the link to them is in the description
Superb vedio Dear
This video is so helpful but do you use the same amount of fabric for a queen size bed?
Jessica Buth I would double the fabric for a more luxe finish
Very beautiful, but I’m still a bit confused about the pattern of the lights and the way you pinned the fabric with safety pins. You said to pin them up, but how and where. Maybe I’m not with it, but I want to try this with some fabric in my granddaughter’s room at my house. I’m doing this with bunk beds. I hope it comes out half as nice as yours!
I pinned the lights in a cross pattern. The fabric is pinned to the hooks in the ceiling
Love it. Ty
IT WORKS
I can't wait to do this with black fabric ..💙 I won't do lights cause im afraid of anything burning down
Jennifer Pollitt that's going to look so cool with black fabric, you should send me a picture when you are finished I want to see it!!!
Pastelitas I sure will ! 💙 I'm moving soon and I'm trying to make my new room more my style and my own little bat cave 💙 I'm going to have to find and re paint all funatuire black and I just can't wait 💙💙 I'm so excited for my move
Jennifer Pollitt that sounds like so much fun!!! I love gothic type decor as well!!!
Jennifer Pollitt I think if maybe you added some black or dark red lace to your canopy it could look super nice as well!!!
Pastelitas omg yes ! 💙 and it would look amazing if I added touches of red around the room as well
she looks nice in the video
Sahira Salmeron thank you!!
Wait we hang the safety pin on the hook right?
Marie has super powers yes! make sure your safety pins are sturdy ^_^
do these led lights have levels you can change them to because I've seen some ked kught like this that have levels and hiw fats they blink. if not can it be done with the level changing lights?
If u leave them on too long will they eventually burn or light the drapes on fire?
pretty
So i want to try it but i have a ceiling fan what should i do plz help
*DON'T UNTANGLE THE LIGHTS BEFORE HANGING thEM!!!11!1!1*
Oh thank you 😊
Okay so I went to buy some of the lights you used in tutorial but all I found was " LED curtain string lights (300)" would the 300 be to much or would it be to little ??
Hi I’m want to do this but I have a small chandelier in the middle of my bed is it safe with the sheet or no?
Kai Edits the canopy will hide your chandelier, youd have to move it
Wondering how I could use cloth to drape the entire ceiling in a small room in the basement, without lights.
Do you think that I could do this with a loft bed
Would this type of fabric be big enough to do with a king size bed? And do you have it doubled?
i recommend doubling the fabric!
is there another fabric i can use? The muslin is quite expensive ...
Are the lights battery operated or can you plug them into the wall?
I am do doing this for my dorm
Would command hooks work instead of screw in hooks? I'm moving to an apartment next year for school and I can't put holes in the wall lol
Jay Jones they would need to support the weight of the fabric and lights, so make sure they are strong enough
Thanks for this video! Question though, when you started hanging the cotton material were you safety pinning the material to the fishing line?
itsDigitalisss nope, safetry pin the favric to the hools
Can I do this over my whole bedroom ceiling...or is that weird????
Ps thanks love ❤️ it👌🏾
Nice
how do u secure hooks in sealing? . It looks very easy but it doesn't work for me.
Cool Pad its not easy, i was struggling through that part lol, yoy really need to push it and screw it in
For my bedroom I just brought a staple gun n stapled everything....be very careful with the lights though as they will obviously break if u damage the wire.. xx
What kinda lights did you use again?
If I wanted to do this for my queen bed how many lights would I need.?
Karma BellaRose idk mine was a twin just based on your preference
Would it look good with tulle?
wizpiez of course!
how many yards did you use?
I used 15 but depending if you want less drape down the headboard you can use 12 or 10 even
Where do u get the fairy lights?
Is it possible to do this on a double bed?
mxxnlight Yes it’s totally possible, just do the same thing she did but wider
@@WagwanItsBonbon Oh! Okay cool, thanks for helping ^-^
