    Hey all! There are a few updates to Kadence element hooks since I've made the video that I want to make you aware of:
    1. There are now "Fixed" elements as one of the options to choose from which allow you to create a sticky element that stays on your screen as you scroll down. I'll be making a separate video for this.
    2. Within the element settings, there is now a "Device Settings" section where you can specify whether you want the element to show on desktop, tablet, or mobile.
    3. I mentioned that setting "user settings" isn't required. User Settings are now required. You will see an [UNSET] label on your element section if something still needs to be set.
    I hope that helps clear up some of the confusion from recent updates!

      Hey, I really appreciate it! Gutenberg absolutely is the future and tons of people are switching over from third-party page builders. There's a lot more content I have planned. Thanks for the kind words!

      @@StartBlogging101Hello could you please share the link for making an ecommerce website using kadence Gutenberg blocks free version tutorial showing 1. how to add account icon for customer login, 2. Forced login/signup before checkout, 3. Adding variable prices or lets say dynamic prices that auto calculates based on number and variant of products in cart,
      4. Do we need additional plugins for these things or it can be done with the theme and woocommerce settings itself, 5. How many plugins are not too much to slow down the speed of website...please guide ASAP

    I really think this is a feature which could use more attention. To be able to add content, disclaimers, even links to certain posts or pages - and to be able to update those simply by editing the Element Hook's page - is huge. One feature most themes are still missing is the Conditional Header Menu, where the header menu(s) change for, say, a logged in user. Watching your video got me thinking that an Element Hook could be used to add a small, members-only menu could be added above or below the header on logged-in pages.

    • @StartBlogging101
      @StartBlogging101  3 роки тому

      You're right. Element hooks are easily one of the most powerful features and I think most people don't understand their power. Word on the street is that there's a fantastic feature coming to Kadence around conditional headers, so you wish may be granted once it's released :)

    Greetings. Great video. One question: If I wish, can I, for example, create a custom footer for only blog posts and have that footer replace the default one? Can I do it with this function of kadence pro? Thanks.

    • @StartBlogging101
      @StartBlogging101  2 роки тому

      Hey Carlos! Yep, absolutely. You can create a custom footer made using blocks and completely replace the footer for all your blog posts using the "Replace Footer" hook. In fact, we have an entire library of pre-built templates including some wireframe footers. We'll be adding even more designs, but you can check that out as well: startbloggingblocks.com/

    Thank you for this tutorial. I love the content BUT it took me 8 minutes long to start watching what this tutorial is about which is the Element Hooks (long introduction). This tutorial could’ve been more attractive by being a lot shorter. Thank you again.

    Great tutorial. Pls would you make a detailed tutorial video on how to build an affiliate website using the kadence theme? I believe this amazing theme is going places and people would be interested in very practical application like this.
    I have searched endlessly on youtube for videos like the one am requesting for. Thanks a lot for considering it. Am subbed.

    • @StartBlogging101
      @StartBlogging101  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the comment and for subbing, Obinna! Rumor is that the Kadence WP team is working on creating an affiliate site as one of their starter templates that you could import using their plugin. I'm not sure when it will be coming, but probably sometime in the next 2 months. I absolutely agree it's a fantastic idea for the Kadence Theme.
      That being said, I will be making more tutorials down the line and will keep that in mind to try to make one of my own at some point.

    • @StartBlogging101
      @StartBlogging101  4 роки тому

      Hey Terence! Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. What exactly would you want to close after clicking learn more?

    • @aiforagents
      @aiforagents 4 роки тому

      @@StartBlogging101 I mean based on your example. After the user read the affiliate notification, then they click on the Learn More button. Can we close the hook so it doesn't appear again?

    • @StartBlogging101
      @StartBlogging101  4 роки тому

      @@aiforagents There isn't currently an option to do that. It would most likely require some JavaScript to be run to hide the hook when the user clicks the link. That being said, you wouldn't want to hide an affiliate disclosure. It should be showing at all times on any blog post that contains affiliate links.

    Is it possible to create a newsletter with Elements Hooks ?

    • @StartBlogging101
      @StartBlogging101  3 роки тому

      Do you mean a newsletter sign up form? If so, of course :) There are a ton of examples you could do - you could use the 'Form' block from Kadence Blocks and create a newsletter signup form in your sidebar on whichever posts/pages you want. You could also create a "Sign up for the Newsletter" CTA section using the Form block that shows up in the beginning/middle/end of your blog posts. There are a ton of potential use cases.
