I first met Jimmy James in his hometown of San Antonio Tx. He performed Marilyn and I really was amazed and shocked. This was back in the mid 80s and saw him whenever he came back in town. After one show we went back to his mothers house and saw several photos of him on wall as Marilyn. His mother said she couldnt tell the difference between his photos and the real Marilyn. Its all in the art of illusion when you can recreact an iconic star and actually confuse the audience. Jimmy also performed at La Cage in Las Vegas as Marilyn for many years. He has recorded a few top hits and still performs.
Diamonds was Beautiful. Barbra Streisand was perfection, you sounded exactly like her. Unbelievable show would have loved to been there....This was a perfect pairing with Tea tonight..Thanks for sharing Jimmy,,always love from Denver...Jr
90' saw him Sydney Australia Mardi Gras I have a huge frame photo sign tickets hanging on my hallway I was a model then but pull away from Jimmy I so wanted to me JIMMY not the showman lol JIMMY X
He snuck a video camera into the theater. I guess because he was in a balcony seat, they didn’t catch him. Who knows how he got it into the theater 🤷♂️ in 1991 video cameras were kinda big. Although it’s blurry & shaky, I’m so grateful to have this footage.
@@oneandmanyjimmyjames Exactly, reminds me of Streisand who used to get all twitchy about the bootleg vids posted here on YT, but she eventually realized that it introduces her to a new generation, and let's be honest ... it's free publicity:-) BTW, the grainy video of this one only adds to the "1950's" effect of Marilyn in her heyday.
