Thank you for uploading this video. It is giving me a new insight of what to look for in my future trip in two months. I used to live in Reston 33 years ago and this has become a whole new city! It looks so beautiful and clean makes me want to move back. 😀😍
7:50 Jackson's Pub. Really good bar. Great food and atmosphere. Just back home to the UK after staying in Reston for 4 days as our DC base. I was over here back in 2011 on a work course and the wife wanted to see real Americans so I brought her to Reston. This is a really chilled out town where parents play out with their young kids and families get together most nights until late evening down by the Hyatt Hotel.
Omg what a beautiful city this town has grown to. The last time I stepped foot in this city was 35 to 30 years ago and it was great back then but it has grown to perfection! Usually cities turn from being great to being horrible but Reston started great and it looks like it has improved over the years! I lived here as a child and let me tell you I’m planning a vacation to her asap to see this live. I’m HIGHLY biased from living here as a child but my current city sucks and I can’t wait to get back to Reston!!! CANT WAIT
It looks as good as downtown Washington, very comfortable, nice people, all the necessary offices around, great metro, overall a great combination of great nature, cozy one-story buildings and modern business districts with high-rise buildings. Not only Reston looks good, but the whole Fairfax County, now it is one of the best counties in the USA. The city is being built up very quickly, I think in 20-25 years it will be the new capital of the county. Another city that has a similar vibe is Ballston
I used to live in the South Gate condos in Reston, when I was a child 35 years ago. It was the most pleasant time of my life. I remember across the street there was a 7/11 gas station and a big medical research building. The research building used to do many things including observing monkeys until Ebola broke out in their building. The building was evacuated and cleaned with a sterilization foam from the ground floor to the top floor. It was then cleared to inhabit again but no business would occupy the building so they demolished it and built a new building. I still remember the news reports. I was so comfortable there but I remember sirens from the fire department going all the time. I miss my time there. The South Gate condos are old and out of my price range but if I ever become financially independent I will move there in a heartbeat! I miss this town terribly!!!
Great video Sir! In fact my cousin brother & family also live in Virginia, they stay in South Riding, Loudoun County & his name is Prakash Krishnamurthy. He along with his wife Dheepa have been staying in South Riding since 2007.

Cute, neat and tidy downtown, but lacks a bit of "life" as is almost empty of people...except for a few pedestrians walking around! 😊
