- What are the best tools, the essential tools for the spiritual path?
We all are walking a spiritual path whether we know it or not. But some of us are learning the easy way, while others learn the hard way.
The hard way is usually a result of living from fear, from our ego, from hypocrisy, and/or from ignorance. We will still get there, no matter what, but there are several essential tools we can use to increase our chances of moving out of a fear-based life and learning our lessons the easy way instead of the hard way.
Here are some of the tools for spiritual growth outlined in this video:
1. Daily Communion with God: This is the primary thing we must do in order to live a truly spiritual life. This tool helps us remain humble and yet spiritually Guided on a daily basis.
2. Love and Forgiveness: The best way to manifest God/Love on earth is through forgiveness. To fail to practice authentic forgiveness means results in rendering worthless all else that we practice on the spiritual path. In other words, if we study spirituality but fail to truly be forgiving, we are hypocrites.
3. Spiritual Practices and Studies: So many people consider this tool to be the most important--which usually leads to them making a "religion" out of these practices when, in truth, our studies are merely useful to keep our focus on spiritual things rather than material illusions.
4. Living a Balanced, Healthy Lifestyle: When we practice all of the other tools that Michael; mentioned, living a healthy and balanced life tends to be very natural. We seem to more easily follow a healthier diet and exercise program, receive bodywork, and even do consistent emotional counseling.
The closing meditation at the end of this video includes an amazing self-inventory where to rate yourself in each of the 7 essential areas, and receive guidance on how best to correct the weakest areas.

I've been working 70 hours a week and I lost sight of what's truly important. I've been too tired (and lacking concentration) to keep up with my spiritual studies and it's resulted in me becoming cranky, impatient & frankly, a bit of a complainer (lack of #'s 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, & bigtime 7). I catch myself and stop (not always fast enough) but it's been bothering me for days that I haven't been myself lately. My daily meditations haven't been as effective either. I now see exactly where I've gone wrong. I need to strengthen my foundation & get back to being consistent with my spiritual studies (#4). I am so grateful for this wake-up call. It's a reminder that God works through me when I make time for Him; when I maintain a clear mind so that I can receive His messages/guidance (# 1). All I need is in Him. And I am nothing without Him. So..... God first, always!
This reminds me of a simple but powerful movie quote that I try to keep in mind when I feel someone has wronged me: "When you forgive you love and when you love God's light shines on you" (Into the Wild).

Essential tools of spirituality, mastery, goodness, unity, sentience, individuality. Individuality is who we are it's everything we are. It's the spiritual part of us that is the light part of us there is that part of us that is who we really are the reality of who we are and you can call it a soul you can call it our spirit it's who we really are it's our individuality. it's about the universals. It's about what are the things that we can do that make us feel happy. That make us feel Joy like it going into water. Like looking at the water. Like being good to other human beings. Like being there for others when they need us when they need to pick up.well in individuality there's a certain aspect of individuality that wants to meet up with others and join in unity purposefulness and cocreativity.

G-d bless you Michael. You're really helping me to clarify my own dim understandings. And unlike so many teachings out there (and I suppose they have their place), I'm ever so grateful you're always explicitly putting G-d first. When we really get down to it, is there really any other way ?
