Hall and Oates are known for being part of the "blue-eyed soul" phenomenon. KC and the Sunshine Band, Teena Marie, the Bee Gees and many other white artists are also known for songs in the R&B genre. I didn't hear anyone complaining that their records shouldn't be played on popular or black music stations. So why should Beyonce be treated any differently when she drops a country record?
