The title is "9 NBA Teams Who CHEATED To Get A Superstar", yet for the majority of the teams you stated, it wasn't actually cheating. You're better than this clickbait title.
While I think the Knicks conspired to ensure they got Jalen, Cuban coulda solved that had he actually negotiated and signed brunson the year before instead of trying to play hard ball again before he went off in the playoffs lol.
This is one of the worst click bait NBA videos I have ever seen. You admit that 90% of the moves made in this video actually followed the rules of the time but you act like they are some minor exception or a technicality every time. Not to mention some of your tales are flat out wrong and it would only take a minimum of effort to know better. IT’s injuries were headline news, not some big secret Boston slid by Cleveland. Even if that wasn’t the case, players go through physicals before trades are considered valid to avoid exactly what you are accusing Boston of. Many trades have been voided over the years when teams get results from physicals they did not anticipate. The fact is that Kyrie’s trade demand took the Cavs by surprise and they cut down their options for getting an optimal deal for him because they were still in win now mode so they wanted talent that gave them a chance to win at least one more before Lebron bolted, which eliminated packages that could have been centered around picks and expiring contracts. That is a common route for teams trading a superstar. Teams we’re not lining up to trade a legit star replace Kyrie in the Cav’s big 3 and hand Lebron another chip or two in Cleveland. The timing really limited the Cav’s options. Plus, with your Brunson conspiracy theory, you forgot to mention that his dad had been an assistant to Thibs before and the two go back to when he was a player on the Knicks himself. Thibs hiring Rick Brunson as an assistant fits with his history aside from recruiting Jalen. The whole, “We didn’t get a chance to negotiate” BS from the Mavs just ignored that they had failed to come up with a deal for Jalen several times and were told way in advance that they had burned their bridges by repeatedly taking him for granted and trying to lowball deals that were already ridiculous home town discounts. I rarely give thumbs down, but you earned this one. 👎🏾
Right, like in 2011 when the NBA blocked the Lakers from being able to trade for Chris Paul. What was the explanation why the NBA wouldn't allow it? Oh yeah....."Basketball reasons".
I would have liked the 1978 rules in 2023 only if the team would have to renounce the rights. When player declares hes going back to school ala baseball
Then there wouldn't be a point to drafting the player because the player hadn't declared for the draft. Waste a first round pick knowing that you can't sign him that year just to let him know "hey man...we want you next year...I mean...if we can actually draft you then". I actually love the idea, but make the pick expire 12 hours before the following season's draft. It puts the player in a fantastic bargaining position. The team that drafted him the year before better make him a fantastic offer, or he can just get re-drafted again.
Everyone now a days “NiCe CLiCkBaiT tItLe” like stfu y’all watching the videos either way but still gonna complain about how someone titled something? Gtfo

@@NobleKnight24fax
So from the nine cheats you have a few which are not cheats but just different rules and one where the superstart is Derek Lively II
Still waiting on which nba team that actually “cheated”
They all did
You keep saying "cheating" but you state that those were the RULES at the time. How is that cheating? Clickbait.
2:54 I’ve heard of him, he was on those Knicks teams that won a chip

You forgot to mention that New Orleans got the #1 pick in 2019 (Zion Williamson) so it made the AD trade easier
Didn’t really cheat though
Zion is heading towards bust anyway
AD still the best player since the trade lol Ingram lonzo and hart can't lead their teams lol
Thats crazy
Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with rats. And the rats made me crazy.
@@paullandry5419 sorry to hear that.
5:27 ok, wtf?! It's up to Mavs coach who he puts on the court, how the hell's that fineable? Even if they did it on purpose 🤦🏻♂️
So they DIDNT cheat for Larry but it would be cheating now
it's actually insane that nobody thought to do what the Celtics did until as late as 1979
First off I know of Cazzie Russell. Second get back at me when the video fits the title.
lets go austin sweatt you are one of my top youtubers
Nah
Bruh from this logic all teams are cheating right now since the 3 pt wasn't a thing back then
The NBA will always protect the Celtics and the Lakers
Right, like in 2011 when the NBA blocked the Lakers from being able to trade for Chris Paul. What was the explanation why the NBA wouldn't allow it? Oh yeah....."Basketball reasons".
As a 6er fan, the “protect the Celtics” would make us mad

The Knicks stole Brunson, we stole pick 10 turnabouts fair play
Knicks hope to get players like Durant but then have to cheat to get Brunson...
