I think this is the concept they should’ve gone with but instead of having Diana choose a side at the start, she stays neutral and actually stays being a hero while Bruce and Clark duke it out and overtime she sees that this war is leading to the death of friends and she hopes to put a stop to both sides.
Batman would’ve made a better villain than Superman or Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman should’ve been a strong independent female HERO. Basically the reason why she exists, aside from her being a good character.
Wonder Woman, supposed to be a strong independent female hero (and yes should also find love) but in injustice her character gets a major downgrade. Now in injustice, she's a heartless, coldblooded, merciless martyr that will mindlessly and blindly follow Superman (yes she wants the Super D people its obvious since Lois is out of the picture on injustice)and is willing to harm and kill those who basically doesn't agree with supes (yup on injustice Superman has a White Knight/Martyr name Injustice Wonder woman). Bottom line, I like wonder woman but this particular characterization of Wonder Woman, I'm not fond of.
I don't really mind it. Wonder Woman started out as a man hater, never really had rules about not killing until later, and can easily go back to that at any time with enough push. Flashpoint paradox literally shows that WW at any time could just start killing without remorse, even killing kids if they get in her way. All of this over love. Oh wait, injustice 2 it's the same, only with superman and it makes more sense because it's not aqua man.
This is why either Batman should've been the villain (since he has plans on everyone) because the DC can finally justify the glorified wanking Batman has been getting in a believable way. OR Wonder Woman would be one of the few ways Batman and his rebel group could stand a ghost of a chance against a pissed off Superman. Its the only logical routes i see. And it still shows Diana would oppose any one who is rash and unjust. The injustice story really isn't as good as I thought it was years ago.
RaginDXDemon Batman being a villain would have been a good route to take. Thanks to the “Tower of Babylon” comic, we already know that he can effectively cripple everyone in the League.
The Justice League Unlimited Wonder Woman would probably throw up knowing what kind of fuckery her Injustice counterpart had been up to all to just be the rebound girl.
One thing I hate when dc does these Superman vs Batman or Batman vs Justice League stories is that they always have to make Batman look like the real hero or how he’s in the right since he’s a guy in a bat suit while Superman and the JL are people with powers are always the bad guys
Goddamn, that death Injustice Steve received was fucking grizzly. I'll give the comic this: They at least explained why Injustice Diana is a monster. It was poorly executed and she's still one of the worst characters of that universe, but still.
Web Head Wonder Woman killed Huntress by accident and you see she was remorseful, Martian Manhunter was killed by Superman and I believe Captain Atom got his suit torn and he blew up and put her in a coma and for Harley Quinn, she helped the joker blow up Metropolis, kidnap Lois lane and drug Superman so I believe that’s pretty justified
Web Head Wonder Bitch? Wow, like I haven’t seen that on anything about Injustice Wonder Woman, real original lol. Yes, she breached Captain Atoms suit but he was already ready kill Superman and still tried to. And with Golden Glider she and the rest of the rouges they were already in prison that they were broken out of by plastic man, I’m not agreeing with but I’m also not condemning them killing them. Batman used them to created chaos to bait out Superman
I apprechiate your humanization of the Germans in this video. Sure, their sins far exceeded those of the Allies, but viewing war itself as the atrocity worth fighting against, not some human aggressors who are pure evil for some reason, is actually a concept I like about Wonder Womans storyline. Sure, she's wearing a flag instead of pants and Superman isn't exactly colour neutral either, but DCs decision to make them international heroes rather than American Ones, representing virtues rather than countries, was a good one. They aren't fighting for one nations supremacy, but for peace. (Which is a paradox, but who cares).
Most of the allies, sure, but the Soviet Union was as imperialistic and colonialistic as the Nazis. They were also genocidal, what with the Decossackization of Lenin, or the Aardakh and other ethnic cleansings of Stalin meant to erase entire native cultures and peoples and replace them with Slavs and the proper "Soviet" man. So she could come to realize that the Western Allies, while morally in the right to oppose the Nazis, had made a devil's deal with the USSR to do it.
@@levongevorgyan6789 Hate to burst your bubble, but the British weren't saints either during the time, what with all the colonialism and hatecrimes going on there. And the US had segregation and their own messed-up eugenics laws. There were no morally right heroes in World War 2. Sure, there were Invaders and those who opposed them, but it wasn't overbearing righteousness that made the Allies fight, it was them wanting to keep their f*cking territory, their supremacy over land. Sure, freeing the Jews made some decent propaganda and justification and it was definitely the right thing to do. But these so-called Heroes of War were warriors. Killers. Utilized violent forces in the hands of their government, killing for an artificial creed of patriotism and duty, that to this day divides nations. Everyone wants safety, and everyone wants enough Power to secure that safety. Yet everyone feels threatened by the powers the other countries or social groups hold, and that fear manifests as conflict, becoming violence, becoming war. And in the end, millions of lives are lost, millions more were purposefully frightened to attract those willing to fight and a conflict between nation has been sparked that will last for generations. The Russians are just as scared of you as you are of them and you judge their fearbased behaviour just as they judge yours. Implying hostility where people commit actions they deem necessary for survival and reacting poorly to that is not a mistake more guns and corpses will fix. This requires communication. And therefore I stand by my statement: The true evil to be fought isn't a Nation. It's war. Its violence. It's conflict itself.
@@leonard5426 What made you think I was being defensive of the allies when I literally said they made a Devil's deal with a genocidal regime? They betrayed their own allies the Poles to Stalin and the imperialisitic USSR, while preaching rights of self determination. THey were hypocrites looking out for themselves. The Russians had no justification in their ethnic cleansings. They had not been invited into the Caucasus after their Empire fell. They invaded independent nations and robbed them of their freedoms. Then ethnically cleansed several peoples. They were in the wrong. The only justifiable mmunication was for them to have to have set up diplomatic and trade channels. The Caucasus did not dismiss Russia, or refuse to trade with it. The Caucasus nations wanted the independence that is the right of all free peoples. It was up to Russia to be civilized and respect that right.
there’s one thing I really don’t get if Diana was like this since World War II how she was a member of the jsa and the Justice league it’s weird that neither of them or she herself was able to know show her true colors until the random thing that happened (the Joker attack was not planned. I always assume they were going to reveal something else about it but no, apparently he just got the idea after being defeated by the justice league and everything went to plan after that.)
The rampant disrespect for Wonder Woman was just too much to take. I was utterly baffled by her heel turn in Injustice, as well as for most of the cast. But she was by far the worst. I kept trying to insert my own reasoning into the story, since it offered none itself. Does the studio even have female writers or all their writers incompetent, no matter the gender? I definitely agree that she was the absolute worst characterization and I really like your improvements. Though it really is just an effort to shine a turd. Good work as usual!
Netherrealm are lazy, and they thought "Because Wonder Woman is Superman's best friend now, she should be that when they turn evil". It's childish thinking.
Jason Godwin except literally every universe has it that way. Look at Kingdom come where she was an instigator of Superman to do what he does in the comic. Look at the times she’s snapped necks and slashed fuckers in half. “Gods chosen man, acting like he could live without war” Diana is a warrior first and foremost above anything else......also she has been seen on multiple occasions in the multiverse as the backup for Superman when Lois dies
Its proven in other DC media that wonder woman would make the drastic heel turn for nearly no reason. Flashpoint paradox she kills countless humans for no other reason then to gain the high ground over the atlantians. She does all of that because she fell in love with and had an affair with Aquaman of all people, killed his wife, and then when she got rejected she got pissed. That's way worse than Injustice... In the justice league cartoon ww often has episodes where she nearly kills people for little stuff, I mean little compared to say darkseid of lex luthor.
Honestly for me a better storyline would've have been during the beginning of injustice , the WW of this world was killed by an imposter made by Circe to ruin WW character , fortunately for Circe the joker committed the greatest atrocity against superman , giving Circe and imposter the chance to truly desecrate Diana's legacy by corrupting one of the people she loved, it would also add another layer to the tragedy when Batman manages to find the corpse of the orginal, he truly despairs about the fact that he was angry at her for corrupting superman but it wasn't her fault and he didn't notice that she was long gone by the time WW committed those atrocities
5:20 expanding on this for a second After WW1, German-Americans were pretty persecuted. To the point where in the lead up to WW2, a certain artist called them all back to Germany, basically saying they'd be welcome back, and some German Americans served for Germany in WW2. It's totally possible he was born and raised in America up till a few years ago, decided to go back to his ancestral home, and ended up being used as a German Spy because he was an American and could pass for one.
If you think about it long enough, Wonder Woman was the real person who, as you said “heat beamed a 12 year old boy through the face” because she was the root of Superman’s ambitions
I wanna have a beer wirh you, brother. You are very bright and I love your videos and stories. I may not agree with them all,but they are some incredible view points and stories. Much love.
An idea for this is that WW does eventually storm the fuhrer bunker with Steve in which he dies and Diana takes down Hitler herself becoming an international icon which she uses to become an inspiration to women across the world, improving womens rights(mainly in USA) years ahead of real life. Meanwhile as a response to Wonder Womans appearance governments seek their own superheroes like the Justice Society, while also making others like Aquaman and Black Adam to reveal themselves.
1:15 I personally thought that Superman's decision to be a tyrant came from a "rationalisation' that he can't no longer just play glorified firefighter for the established order, and to bring peac and justice,he should take immediate action. I liked that direction og supes because i am a superman fan for life, and if anybody has the power and principles to rule over the world and bring order and peace,it is superman. When you think about it like that, wonderwoman joining the side of superman makes sense, because she's an Amazonian daughter of a god king. If a choice is established between violent retribution and batman, wonderwoman would always choose violence. I remember this from the justice league comics when Superman "died" in an episode,ww first impulse was to murk that fool. Going as far as to reply to flash who said "this is our way" by "speak for your self". Wonderwoman is a warrior first and a hero second, and that propensity to violence will always comeback
Another problem with German Agent Steve is you have now created a world which was not just like the one we knew until the Metropolis Tragedy, you have yet another 'it was always a darker place'. What, will we now find out that early on, Waller tried to recruit Joker, leading him to the tech he used against Lois and Superman? That Dick pulled a really nasty 'big brother' prank on Damian, leading him to resent him just enough to not watch what he was doing? If an AU like this isn't grounded in a common past with the rest of the mainstream DC Multiverse, then it's just the Frank Miller stuff all over again.
man i did not play Injustice 1 personally but looking at wonder woman go like that i was like "wait what? why?" and then my little brother, after watching the good wonder woman movie said to my face "Gal Gadot in Injustice" and i immediately responded with "fuck no that's just character assassination now"
While I agree they fucked up with her motivations, I would prefer to see her as a War Mongering lunatic from the get go. It would be really cool to see this version of Diana being created with Hades using his power to instill on her a desire for war. At first it could lead her to side with Superman in order to dominate Earth, but soon she could guide him into interplanetary interventions, using Krypton´s destiny as a reason to act before is too late, in that way, she would satiate her thirst for Super's Mighty Rod and also keeps in fights for pretty much forever. I was never able to see WW as a character that would search for peace. She as created a warrior, raised as one, and when she left the island, she always had battles to deal with. She would probably be an eternal weapon, that could go off at any time, at any day. Hell, she was created by Greek Gods! They were selfish, vengeful, aggressive and would not really care for human life very much, there is no way Diana would be a good girl.
That idea could work, but Ares is a complete non-entity in IJ2. I assume she'll kill him in the IJ2 comic at some point, but then, his power over her should have worn off by IJ2. The big issue with Injustice comic is that the comic writers are limited by the game canon.
I think that she was secretly stealing Ares' power, this was hinted at with her siding with Superman in IJ1 to end war and if she killed Ares, a power vacuum is created and she in turn becomes the new Goddess of War. What better way to end war than by becoming the Goddess of War? It also works to separate her from the traditional Wonder Woman that Injustice Batman summoned who was more loving, compassionate and peaceful despite her warrior upbringing because she was blessed to be more like Aphrodite the Goddess of Love. I see it as traditional WW had a dividing line between love and war and Injustice WW, who in turn is based on the New 52 WW, heavily blurred that line within herself to the point where love and war are the same thing; creating an ugly representation of WW.
In this version, Steve could be the son of German immigrants who were mistreated during World War 1 and changed their names and moved to far away parts of the country to avoid further prejudice. This could sour him to America and make him sympathetic to Germany.
DC and NetherRealm studios showed no fucking NO respect for Wonder Woman at all and butchered her portrayal with this insult of a story. I am still goddamn pissed about it years later.
here is one thing about the whole Steve being a German concept. I think her costume would look a bit different than the star spangled pants and white striped red boots we are accustomed to. she would likely have red shirt black pants/or skirt or whatever else and yellow boots to signify the pre nazi german flag. It would be pretty bizarre visually speaking imo.
lowkey want to see evil injustice wonder woman meet OUR good Steve Trevor who is genuinely a good person. would she think he must also be evil and tricking our diana? long game style? would she just hate teh reminder and want to kill him automatically? he looks like her steve but ISN'T her steve. would she be upset finding out steve normally is a good person across the universes? that her steve was a outlier? would it make her question if there was something more to her steve than he showed her? like she thought he was good but then tricked her so he was all evil...will she wonder if there was something good in him still deep down in there but she'll never find out cuz she killed him? would she realize that to her injustice superman SHE what the evil steve trevor was to her? that she became what she hated? someone who would lie and omit info from someone they claimed to care about and infact lead them into doing something that betrays their morals? like how the doctine of the nazi's that evil steve followed where he seemed in power was also due to surface level advantages...but also could have been due to taking advantage of insecurities and fears and weaknesses to get people to follow that ideology... and evil steve on the surface seemed fine with it but that doesn't mean he wasn't indoctrinated to survive and how people double down in those situations being unable to really face the truth of what they've done..much like how even if we thought he should know better after being undercover around better ideologies all that time....much like injustice wonder woman who had a benefit to her ladys are best ideologies but alos the warror strong thing and being more in control where she told herself it was fine to do all these bad things to people despite aspects she should have learned being around them as a hero...that she should have known better. there has to be SOME way to spin this bullshit origin to use it to make a bit more sense right?
Had your version really happened? We wouldn't have evil Wondy, and it makes me happy to see something special.. and that's the ideal of Diana becoming neutral. It's usually Superman and Batman constantly fighting each other.. and it's interesting to see Diana become that peacemaker between the 2, because she still highly values them as friends.
This is amazing! What's more, a sympathetic German soldier was always a part of Marston's original -- Paula von Gunther aka The Baroness -- not to mention that the neutral position while yes impossible during the 1940s, could still be used. Just one thing: instead of having her kill off Hitler and be cool with it, make that kill count not unlike the Maxwell Lord kill.
It's always interesting seeing the criticisms of the minority opinion (in this case not liking Injustice' storyline). I agree with most of these points about Steve Trevor as well.
what minority? there isn't a single person who likes nether realm stories, not even Injustice 2, people either hate how piss poor it is, or like the gameplay and discards the story mode as not important, even though it's one of if not the most important features of the game, and if the developers choose to have a story it should be held to the same standard as any other story.
As a massive fan of wonder woman, I feel like it would be quite easy for to get to such a place as she is in with injustice. She has never had any qualms killing those that need to be stopped... She had such a warrior spirit, and is often depicted as a demi God, her fellow leaguers have had to put her in check so many times over the years from crossing the line. Even in the justice league cartoon diana almost kills a theif and Martian manhunter has to scold her to get to the watchtower. Injustice has never felt like the character being shit on. It's probably exactly what diana would do because metropolis was destroyed.
I feel you are only focusing on stuff Geoff Johns wrote, who does not get the character at all. The main trademark of Wonder Woman is her compassion, her empathy for all. Despite being trained as a warrior, and prepared to do what she must when no other option exists, she always shows that restraint and strives to be better than that. Here? She is a mustache twirling monster whose motivation boils down to "waa Steve said mean things to me" and helps Superman become a dictator. It is a disrespectful portrayal that spits in the fact of everything she is about.
Heres the thing though, all that stuff only applies to evil versions of Wonder Woman, DCAU Wonder Woman who frankly is just diet Wonder Woman, and Geoff Johns Wonder Woman, a version of the character so out of step with her original counterpart that she was the only character, I repeat, the ONLY character who was hard rebooted by DC Rebirth because of how out of step she and her entire mythos was with every other depiction. Wonder Woman is compassion incarnate, shes the kind of person who can look at Cheetah, the rabid animal of a person who would sooner rip Dianas throat out than talk to her, and hold her in a comforting hug. She may kill but its always her absolute last resort, its never something she jumps to despite what the memes say. Heck one of her greatest victories of all time was giving Darkseid a small fraction of her soul forever infecting Darkseid with a small bit of compassion.
The entire original Premise for the Tekken story is like a thanksgiving meal cooked, laid out on the table, and forgotten to rot while everybody huddles in a car to go to Chick fil a smdh
And i still feel Superman was wasted potential. So the next video should be Superman or Liu Kang. Since there's a hard on for turning the heros into baddies for that "edge" nonsense up at Netherealm
Potentially Raiden too. I don't really know what you could do to make them better within these stories. I've covered a restored Liu Kang in the MKX episode. I plan to cover Injustice 2 in the future and will likely explore the idea of redemption for him.
Honestly I would have been okay if Wonder Woman just wasn't Diana Prince. The _Injustice_ universe already had a few key differences like Raven/Trigun having a loving father/daughter relationship and Lex Luthor not being evil, thus never showing Superman that power could be used for wrong reasons (Smallville was smarter than people think the show was). Just say Artemis or Philippus beat Diana in the contest to see who'd be their ambassador. It's a simple solution but those are usually the best ones.
@@The4thSnake Replaying the story mode for _Injustice 1_ really feels like it should have been Flashpoint, but done right. Small things happened in every hero's past that resulted in them being fairly different yet we avoid the post-apocalyptic battle in the wastelands like in the comic. Examples: What kind of Batgirl would Barbara Gordon have been if Gotham's corrupt cops successfully killed her family? That kind of stuff.
Two series that come to mind are the are George Perez's and Greg Rucka. The first is set at beginning of her story and covers her introduction into the wider world. You meet both her supporting cast and much of her rouges gallery. Rucka's series dose a great job of showcasing Wonder Woman as both a badass and hero. His opening story "the Hiketeia" is consider one of WW best. Both of these series have recently been recollected in trade paperback volumes so you should be able to find them at Amazon or at you local comic book store. Three stand alone stories you could also read are The Legend of Wonder Woman, Justice League A League of One and Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth. Legend of WW is a retailing of her golden age origins during world war 2. While it is a another origin story it's one of the best. You get to see her grow into a hero from her childhood to her adulthood battling both Nazis and the war god Ares. If you enjoyed the movie you will probably enjoy this. It's a great book for both kids and adults. While league of one is technically a Justice league story Wonder Woman is very much the main character. After hearing a prophecy foretelling the doom of the Justice leagues at the hands of a medieval beast she sent out to save her beloved comrades, even if it means fighting them herself. And the last one, Spirit of Truth is a short story written by Paul Dini and drawn by Alex Ross. It's a simple story showing her in dealing with mostly normal crime and having trouble getting people to trust her. You could wait for the single reprint coming this march or get this story or get it in justice League: The World's Greatest Superheroes collection along with Paul's other short stories feature other DC heroes. There all good read's. I hope I was of help to you and you find stories you enjoy from my recommendations. I always enjoy helping people find comics they enjoy. Happy reading.
wonder woman is the true villain of injustice. She manipulated superman. SHE believed that villains should die but wasn't powerful enough and the justice league would stand against her so she decided to manipulate superman when he was at his worst and wasn't thinking straight and after that everyone else would call in line
Damn it all came back. I mean from what I remember, throughout the comics and the games (Even though I think Most of the comics don't line up especially leading into Injustice 2). Wonder Woman seemed to amount to nothing but Wonder THOT enabling Superman's growing hatred instead of talking him down she basically got him to embrace it. It got so bad that Alternate Wonder Woman had called her out on that in Injustice 1.
@The4thSnake : I guess Wonder Woman turned into a gold digger who wants Superman just so she can make him miserable, eh? I know you like your FanFictions for Injustice, DC, MK and others, but I can do them fanfics in an American sitcom-style format. Injustice Wonder Woman sounds like she just wants to fuck Superman and be a spermjacker.
@@The4thSnake Yeah I think that's kind of the problem when it comes to characterizations in these games even in the Mortal Kombat side, characters sometimes just act poorly just for the sake of conflict cause it's a 'Fighting Game'. Not saying it excuses it, but it could be a reason. Also, maybe even though she probably won't say it especially verbally to Superman, but maybe she thinks she could be a 'better' Lois to him, in the sense of being stronger and less of a physical liability which is why she thinks she can feel the void. That's just my thought about it anyway.
I got to applaud you for providing an explanation of Germany that is accurate. They weren't mustache twirling villains. The most educated population in world doesn't up and become evil. Germany is also the birth place of communism, socialism and the current social democracies we have now. The lesson of Nazi germany is NOT Nazi = bad, its how do normal people end up in this situation. We need to understand that to prevent it in the future. Turning them into Red Skull comic book villains ignores what causes this and allows it to occur again. There isn't much difference between the socialism in germany and the socialisms we have today. Every country that is considered socialist is nationalist with monolithic populations. Does take much for people to commit atrocities disguised as altruism. I though a good story for Diana in the movie would be she is the one who kills arch duke ferdanand cause she thinks he's Aeries and she triggers WW1. With that shame she then stays out of the lime light.
The Germans during WWII weren't *all antisemitic bastards. But most if not all the officers were. I think a good example of a Nazi that ISNT a Nazi is Von Strohiem from Jojos Bizzarr adventure, memes aside Von Strohiem is a *VERY* patriotic German officer during WWII his opinion on Jewish people is never brought up and he has nothing negative to say about Smokey (a black guy). He does however seem to have low opinions of Hispanic people as he sacrifices plenty to the Pillar man Santana, but he spares a boy who tries to sacrifice himself to save the others, telling him he respects the boy. He also has no qualms with sleeping with some of the women or at least it would seem that way. So while he might not be a great guy and he may have low options of Latinos he isn't openly antisemitic and it can be argued that he isn't racist either. Ny the end of his time in part 2 he actually isn't all that bad, he's endearing to say the least, he also has a bitching theme and is responsible for several good memes.
@@kzr_1613 Reread my comment homie. If he was a legitimately antisemitic nazi, I wouldn't like him. I'm Jewish I don't care much for people that want to enslave and murder me and my family
@@dr.calibrations7984 Another example of what you said in real life would be Claus von Stauffenberg: At first he didn't oppose the nazis taking power, but when he saw first hand what they were actually doing, he decided to oppose them.
this is going to sound cheap, but considering how lackluster the injustice story has become, they might as well give a reason for beast boy to be alive or at least another version of him be involved and do an Injustice: gods and titans. I mean heck every other member of the titans is alive somehow and the Netherelm has proven to have ruined the old guard beyond repair (With the exception of batman who's pretty much treated like an untouchable gary stu nowadays.) arn't they all about the "New and hip generation" considering their roster in mortal kombat X
Both franchises already have "corrupted heroes" as a thing, so why not have both do the next gen thing (IJ2 kinda started it with Kara, Jaime and Firestorm).
that's what I just said. The Titans in the comics was basically a team where the next gen of heroes (most of them former sidekickes) to shine so there you go. Honestly though, if they are going to make DCH vs MK canon to the injustice universes, I kind of wish they'd end the series with DCH vs MK 2
The4thSnake Wonder Woman has always been my favorite superhero but this version is so far removed from who she is. Wonder Woman will not be dictated by her own desires in lieu of doing what is just. The person who created this Wonder Woman is projecting a toxic belief that a woman, even with her God given attributes, is nothing if she doesn't have a man. 😒 #fucknetherrealm
Hm I gotta disagree because I personally thought this origin story for the injustice Wonder Woman was really interesting but I can see where you are coming from with this origin story for injustice Wonder Woman
The reason why I don’t like the Injustice origin for WW is because it has been done before. This isn’t the first time that a villain’s actions was excused due to past trauma. In a sense, they are defined by their trauma. A competent hero should be able to rise above their pains to do the right thing, especially someone of WW’s caliber.
@9:35 are you seriously taking the stance that the Germans weren't racist, xenophobic aggressors? Sure, not everyone who served in the German armed forces was an out and out member of the Nazi Party, but the government and leadership as a whole absolutely were monsters who carried out millions of hate crimes. You want to make the point that Wonder Woman could have shown that there were some Germans who only fought because they had to? Fine, but have your story be about her overthrowing the German high command from within or convincing the German people to rise up against the Nazis. But what you've stated here is an insult to my family and every other family that lost people to the German war machine
Here's a Real Wasted Potential For you Lex Luthor. Imagine if Lex Luthor was behind Everything. Just like in the Prime Universe Lex Hated Superman but chose instead of going down the Evil Path chose instead to get close to him to learn all his secrets "Keep you enemies Closer" style. See Lex was in Love with Lois (It's Why he lets slip "There's no one like Lois" When Superman asks if their could be another Lois in the Prime Universe) and Superman knocking her up was the final straw so he hired the Joker to Deal with Them. Lex Set Up the Regime, Hired it's personnel why would he immediately turn around and start helping Batman fight the very thing he talked Clark into Creating? What better victory for Lex then to Ruin Superman's name forever then by getting Clark to murder him on live TV by telling Clark it was he who sicced the Joker on him and Lois? Would also explain why he killed Billy in a fit of Rage, and decides to destroy the cities It was all a temporary insanity brought on by being Duped for so long by a Man he thought was his friend and hearing people condemn him for killing the man responsible for all of this made him go a little nuts. Injustice Two opens with a much Calmer Superman. Still wants to ice criminals (And can I blame him for doing Exatcly what MY Hero Characters do in KOTOR, Skyrim DA or Fallout? Kill Bad guys) but doesn't want to hurt innocent people. Personally I like a no fucks given Superman be people seem to hate it. Them- "Oh no Superman wants to rule the world" Me -"No he just wants to eliminate crime." World governments still function as is just without all the corruption. He's title was High Chancellor not King. The Regime was a Legal Body like the Hall of Justice from the Judge Dredd Comics. Police, Judge and Executioner. Amazes me how many people miss that. Superman was The LAW, that's why he could have Batman publicly EXECUTED without a trial and people were ok with it.
Complex. What I would have done is much simpler and just have an Amazon Women's March happen in Metropolis the day Joker's nuke went off so Diana not only lost her mom but many of her friends and countrymen. Losing so many at once weakens Diana to become a tyrant. I admit this is basically Cyborg's motive but whereas he wants to punish criminals, Diana wants to control the men who failed to keep a nuke out of the clown's grasp.
I still don't think that fits her character. Diana's lost the amazons a few times before and it never broke her like that. Granted, it's still a much better idea than what they gave us.
I think Injustice 3 should focus on WonderWoman being the Antagonist for sure. abd I really wish the Superman Ending will be Cannon because I'm sick and tired of Batman winning & my Favorite thing about Injustice, Everything that is bad WILL happen. Good doesn't always prevail.
It could be intersting if they had Wonder Woman redeem herself following the Superman ending. Maybe there are some doubts thanks to Scarecrow and Clark won't accept that hesitation so he tries to brainwash her too.
yeah the scene with Scarecrow made me feel like she was hinted to be more of a focus in the next one. she obviously uses Clark and pushes him deeper to his "Madness". but with Netherrealm you kind of don't know what they'll do with the story and characters. Injustice 2 In my eyes felt like an uneeded filler. I hope IJ3 has a better tight story that focus's on their fighting & that alone. instead of bringing in a 3rd party into the mix (the otherworld JL) or Brainiac to make them HAVE to work together for that moment instead of focusing on each others Ideals.. with MK9 and how it ended I was expecting the story to go in a different way than what we got with MKX. Netherrealm is both good and bad with storytelling in my opinion. too many characters with wasted potential and possible story arcs that could have given them decent character development. Milleena is good example, & I believe you said it quite well on her Video you made. what a waste for her in that game :/
The unifying enemy could have worked, if the story was about them patching things up. Unless they either build on this with Bruce trying to get Clark to work with him again, or go with the Sueprman ending to force another character to take centre stage against Clark (like MKX), this really will feel like pointless filler. MK's got plenty more characters I plan to talk about. Sindel is in the works right now.
Its always fun to hear people's alternate stories, but netherealm has done more good than harm. The game borught new life and atention to DC heroes after the avalanche of Marvel movies, I enjoy most of Marvel movies but their characters aren't as interesting as DC heroes and the Marvel movies feel to similar between each other and are filled with dumb humor for no reason other than atract a wider audience, which obviously hurts the script for people that want better stories. I always wanted warner bros to just adapt as close as posible some of the animated movies from DC which are actually adaptations of the comic storilines. I enjoy the animated movies except from some rare exceptions like the terrible harley queen movie, but a friend of mine who loves DC hates the animated movies because they depart too much from the comics. I explained him that adaptations cannot be the same and some of the changes are actually better in my opinion, but he still hates the animated movies (and the live action movies too obviously). My point is that you can't keep everyone happy, there will be people that will hate the adaptations no matter how good they are. I also disliked some most of the injustice game storylines, but they are 3 million times better than the fucking movies, and they are not cannon or anything, its just another else world, something I enjoy from DC actually, most of their else world shit is really good, even better than the actual cannon. someday we will have a story that is well received by the mayority, but for now, the game is the thing we have despite its flaws, including that awful batman design and moveset, god how I hate how batman moves in that game. Netherealm gave fighting games a new direction, after MK9 other more popular fighting games had no option but to emulate netherealm steps, even when these franchises were already well stablished and had greater fanbases. It's exactly like SC2, their stories throughtout the 3 campaigns are absolutely terrible, with the worst writing ever, but their presentation and progresion system is amazing to the point that made SC" without a doubt the best RTS game even now. This doesn't mean that we should remain silent and hold our opinions, we just need to find a way to make clear to the people responsable to write and create our beloved stories, that they can do way better. Hope you can polish more your videos since this type of channels can have an impact on the decision making from game developers and movie makers if done properly. Social media including youtube is a double sword edge and more often than not, has made more damage than good, because the most lauder people on internet are subgroups like LGBT, feminists and even Fanboys that are actually not a Mayority, they are just lauder and have more time to make noise about their dumb ideas and try to force their demands through stupid campaigns like hashtagging. Keep up your work, just don't go that far into the snowflakey entitled side and understand that nothing will be exactly as you wish.
I think what irks me the most with Injustice is that after the first game, the evil alternate versions of the cast are the only ones we have. If you play Injustice to play a DC fighting game, you're stuck with Evil Superman without a good option. So really, you can't actually play as Superman. If Superman was your favourite hero and this was the only choice you had, I can't imagine it would be an enjoyable experience.
Yeah I also wanted the good justice league to reappear but as you mentioned, the character fight intros are kinda like mini story mode and there is mention of the good superman there. I am sure that after the third game of injustice they will reboot the DC fighting game with justice league doom or babel tower. We just need to waith like 5 or 6 years hopefuly less.
First of all, Steve Trevor and the WW movie took place during WW1. The Nazis didn't even come into the equation. Second, I can't see a Diana that would ever stay nuetral in WW2. Germany was unarguably far more evil than the Allies and the horrors they committed because of the Treaties of Versailles was so harsh on Germany (boo fucking hoo). If anything, Diana would join the Allies, crush Germany, and would then likely take the necessary actions required to bring Mans world to heel no matter what anyone, Allies or Axis powers or whoever, says. She has always been a woman of action and for her to stand aside and do nothing as the world burns around her is anathema to her person.
Personally I never really cared for Wonder Woman. To me what goals she wanted and what she wanted to be would always be overshadowed by the others. I could see her going into depression over that feeling of not getting anywhere and ultimately seeing that all she could be is a supporter simply being used for the power she had (Granted that would be what would happen to most of the others. Those that are young probably wouldn't care enough and continue as normal until they lost their respective friends as they got older.)
I think this is the concept they should’ve gone with but instead of having Diana choose a side at the start, she stays neutral and actually stays being a hero while Bruce and Clark duke it out and overtime she sees that this war is leading to the death of friends and she hopes to put a stop to both sides.
That could work.
Nah, Wonder Woman makes a better villain
@Web Head it's just my opinion, in my opinion she's more of a billing than Superman
That's fair enough
Okami Jones Agreed i didn't Injustice 2 either cause they made Wonder Woman into Criminal
Okami Jones actually, that's a very accurate characterisation of feminists
I don't really mind it. Wonder Woman started out as a man hater, never really had rules about not killing until later, and can easily go back to that at any time with enough push. Flashpoint paradox literally shows that WW at any time could just start killing without remorse, even killing kids if they get in her way. All of this over love. Oh wait, injustice 2 it's the same, only with superman and it makes more sense because it's not aqua man.
to bad this game made hard to trust her now
@@ZenKrio that never happened. Wonder Woman never hated men and worked alongside them and was in love with Steve Trevor in the forties.
Let's face it, The creators just hate every female character but Harley 😂
🤣
Nailed it
@Mickey Mouse A very good point!
@Mickey Mouse Ever since The New 52 comics I've lost interest in Harley as a character because trying to make her a hero or anti hero doesn't work.
@Mickey Mouse yes, but harley is good yeah. She doosnt kel kids that excuzez her acsionz
Exactly. A lot of commenters on the Injustice 1 episode seemed to agree with my take going in that direction.
Wow then dc metal must be like your favorite event. Cause its mostly just that. If bruce takes the plunge. You guys should give it a read.
Darius Cole-Samuels Thank you for reminding me about this comic.
Not really. From what I've seen, most of those Batmen are just insane and evil like IJ Superman. I want more shades of grey in these things.
Regime Woman/Diana's origin story is basically "Waahh, I turned evil because Steve Trevor said mean things to me!!"
Not just that, but I wait 60+ years to actually turn evil.
Her motivation sucks too. "I encouraged Superman to be more ruthless because I want him to love me."
"Sorry Babe, I forgot to get you a Valentine's card---Babe?"
Dies
The Justice League Unlimited Wonder Woman would probably throw up knowing what kind of fuckery her Injustice counterpart had been up to all to just be the rebound girl.
Does not mean WW will feel any joy in killing her Injustice Counterpart like in Avengers Endgame
One thing I hate when dc does these Superman vs Batman or Batman vs Justice League stories is that they always have to make Batman look like the real hero or how he’s in the right since he’s a guy in a bat suit while Superman and the JL are people with powers are always the bad guys
Thank you for giving me so much content for my head-canon. I sleep better at night because of you videos.
“Don’t do it because it’s different and then toss it aside”
*looks at the Godzilla anime trilogy*
A lot of things about Injustice is wasted, not just WWs.
That makes me sad.
Very true...
there’s one thing I really don’t get if Diana was like this since World War II how she was a member of the jsa and the Justice league it’s weird that neither of them or she herself was able to know show her true colors until the random thing that happened (the Joker attack was not planned.
Good work as usual!
stanj85 It is not the gender of the writer but, the competency that matters. Nether realm writers are just trash.
This is true.
I swear as more as I grow up its the adults who act more childish than kids lol after seeing how the direction of the comics are. Lol
F A C T S
She's also the one who convinced Kal El to become a tyrant.
Which was totally out of character for Wonder Woman to do.
@@myleswayne301 rt it like they never read the source material
5:20 expanding on this for a second
After WW1, German-Americans were pretty persecuted.
Much love.
Same to you. You sound pretty chill.
3:50 Sooo basically the closest thing DC has to Marvel's Hail Hydra.
This is really cool. I wouldn’t mind seeing this in the movies someday.
I love how the last words in this video (besides the end card) is “Fuck you”
Another problem with German Agent Steve is you have now created a world which was not just like the one we knew until the Metropolis Tragedy, you have yet another 'it was always a darker place'. What, will we now find out that early on, Waller tried to recruit Joker, leading him to the tech he used against Lois and Superman? That Dick pulled a really nasty 'big brother' prank on Damian, leading him to resent him just enough to not watch what he was doing? If an AU like this isn't grounded in a common past with the rest of the mainstream DC Multiverse, then it's just the Frank Miller stuff all over again.
but bro frank miler is life all batman shud b frank bats
man i did not play Injustice 1 personally but looking at wonder woman go like that i was like "wait what? why?" and then my little brother, after watching the good wonder woman movie said to my face "Gal Gadot in Injustice" and i immediately responded with "fuck no that's just character assassination now"
This is the best series on your channel
Elton Borges You mean she would be influence by Ares not Hades. Hades is the god of the underworld. Ares is the war deity.
@@The4thSnake I'm so sick of dark depressing stories in DC.
Such Wasted Potential.
--- Grandmaster Blueberry ice.
Good points.
I'm sorry, but this dude should be working at NRS. Like seriously!
Maybe we'll see this in injustice 3.
You ever thought about doing the Wasted Potential on Sindel and Shiva from Mortal Kombat?
Aaron Grier He’s going to do Sindel I believe
Indeed. She's the next episode.
The4thSnake Sindel or Sheeva? Both are two of my favorite characters, big fan of Johnny Cage too!
Injustice Wonder Woman might just be one of my most hated characters.
YES! Something to watch before work!
I hope it was good for you.
It's always interesting seeing the criticisms of the minority opinion (in this case not liking Injustice' storyline).
I agree with most of these points about Steve Trevor as well.
Thank you.
what minority? there isn't a single person who likes nether realm stories, not even Injustice 2, people either hate how piss poor it is, or like the gameplay and discards the story mode as not important, even though it's one of if not the most important features of the game, and if the developers choose to have a story it should be held to the same standard as any other story.
@KiratheRenegade Wrong. As you said, they love the _universe,_ not the stories.
They could’ve done so much with Nubia.
I honestly liked your story way better. I grew disappointed when you reminded us that it's not the actual story.
Wow you put this perfectly !
Thank you.
Please do a Tekken "Wasted Potential"
It's on the list.
The entire original Premise for the Tekken story is like a thanksgiving meal cooked, laid out on the table, and forgotten to rot while everybody huddles in a car to go to Chick fil a smdh
Bro how the fuck did a gun kill an Amazon
Man, can you imagine what would happen if she joined axis? That'd be kinda sick. Do you think axis could've win then?
Dude you are so smart lol geez this was actually very interesting
Your point is logical
And i still feel Superman was wasted potential. So the next video should be Superman or Liu Kang. Since there's a hard on for turning the heros into baddies for that "edge" nonsense up at Netherealm
Potentially Raiden too. I don't really know what you could do to make them better within these stories. I've covered a restored Liu Kang in the MKX episode. I plan to cover Injustice 2 in the future and will likely explore the idea of redemption for him.
5:11 Dat one guy not doing the Nazi salute.
That would be the better option. But it's not edgy enough.
1:21 leave billy alone!
At 4:46 that scene with diana what comic is that from?
Well, it does not even have to be a standalone story. Your story would serve to be a better explanation for why Diana sides with the Regime.
1:19 Grayson?
Goddamn you need to become a writer.
Shazam is actually 10, not 12, just saying
I know this was year ago but in Injustice he is 13-15
Does anyone have any recommendations for good Wonder Woman comics that portrays her true self?
Happy reading.
uh, this guy!
Injustice wonder woman was just as bad as MK11 Sindel
wonder woman is the true villain of injustice. She manipulated superman. SHE believed that villains should die but wasn't powerful enough and the justice league would stand against her so she decided to manipulate superman when he was at his worst and wasn't thinking straight and after that everyone else would call in line
Fall
fall in line
Damn it all came back. I mean from what I remember, throughout the comics and the games (Even though I think Most of the comics don't line up especially leading into Injustice 2). Wonder Woman seemed to amount to nothing but Wonder THOT enabling Superman's growing hatred instead of talking him down she basically got him to embrace it. It got so bad that Alternate Wonder Woman had called her out on that in Injustice 1.
And then her fear toxin hallucination of Superman does the same in 2, but it just bounces off her because she's a stubborn prick.
How often do DC superhero comics treat those fighting for Germany during WW2 in a nuanced light?
-5
Look, i have to agree with you about the story. But not the kombat, junky is not the right word for it
If you ask me I like seeing Wonder woman as a Villain
Good show
Much MUCH better
Germany didn't get screwed over in WW1 they were let off easy
"Yea sure he is a nazi but have you seen the memes bro"
@@kzr_1613
Reread my comment homie.
I don't think Netherrealm truly respects their women characters.
I don't think they respect any of them.
That's fair. Thanks for watching anyway.
"It's bad because it's been done before" is not really an argument. I liked this origin story as well.
your welcome :)
Istg that ww was ww1 not 2 or am I wrong??
Another good video
Thank you.
The4thSnake no problem, I wish NRS find these wasted potential video and contact you or something

Hello the4thsnake can you do a wasted potential on Kingdom Hearts 2
What's wrong with it?
+The4thSnake sorry was not thinking at time
@@rubyknights5885 LOL
Can you do a review of injustice 2 pleases
It's on the list, don't worry.
Where's that Kung lao episode?
I've got some other characetrs I want to discuss first. It should be the third next MK one.
Wow this is some good stuff! (Proceeds to look up Wonder Woman skin tight nazi suit.)... Dont judge me.
You know, I tried looking up Nazi WW pictures, but aside from the 3rd Reich League there, it seems to only be corruption fetish stuff.
How would you write in Donna Troy (Diana’s little sister)
Well.
The4thSnake Future video? 👀
@@NyQuayi Nah.
Wouldn't make sense to me cause donna never been mentioned n she would of stopped diana reign over the amazons by now
Wasn’t injustice originally a comic before a game
Nope, the comic started publishing a few weeks ahead, I think, but it exists for the sake of the game series.
Billy batson is actually 15 not 12. Just saying, not a critique of the video but just thought you would want to know
Its always fun to hear people's alternate stories, but netherealm has done more good than harm.
I hope so. I think following the good League in various other universes would be way more interesting.
You should start writing dc fanfic, like what with MK Khronicle
I've done a few standalone shorts.
Hey leave poor Hitler alone
Can I ask you something? Why aren't you writing for DC? I would totally read that comic.
Because no WB subsidiary has yet to realise my genius.
SNK
Personally I never really cared for Wonder Woman. To me what goals she wanted and what she wanted to be would always be overshadowed by the others. I could see her going into depression over that feeling of not getting anywhere and ultimately seeing that all she could be is a supporter simply being used for the power she had (Granted that would be what would happen to most of the others. Those that are young probably wouldn't care enough and continue as normal until they lost their respective friends as they got older.)
Could you do one on DC vs MK?
If I can come up with a good alternative, maybe.
The4thSnake Well you can first start off by listing the main flaws of the story
That's more a critique than a Wasted Plotential.
The4thSnake I meanted as a wasted potential of the game itself
Hey that's kinda reminds me about that one Justice League cartoon episode.
Which one?
The 2 last episodes of the first season. The one where JL is transported to WW2 where Vandal Savage has made an icicle out of Hitler.
That was probably also the first and only time I saw Steve Trevor live to old age, so I was quite pissed when he died in the film.
