I Played Rust Console for 24 Hours and this is what happened

- Hey guys! It's been a long coming but today I finally decided to take the plunge and try out console Rust! Rust was released on Playstation and Xbox just over a year ago and so I figured, heck, it's about time we explore the console world of Rust. Today, we have one simple goal, blow someone's base up with satchels. Enjoy lads :-)

When it first came out i almost gace every loot i got from killing back to the guys cause they were so nice we started a 11 man zerg after that well it was very fun for a long time but nowadays you just get roofcamped as a naked all day long

LOL at your cousin's mic. Also, glad you finally figured out that there were buttons for "Give All" and "Take All". That seems to be one of the few things that Console has over PC. And this was a cool video. Like your cousin, I don't have a gaming PC so I'm forced to play Rust on console, and last/current gen at that, which is not great (XBox One.) It's good to see that a PC Rust chad also can experience some of the clunkiness and "rust" of the console version.

This is great! I started playing console rust because of watching your videos and your play style has helped me to learn to snowball quickly

I been playing console since it came out and it is interesting watching it from a first timer perspective. There are a lot of settings you need to mess with to get an optimal experience, ie turning off gestures so you don’t accidentally stand still during a fight and get shit on. But all and all this game looks and feels a lot better after playing for a couple months, the game isn’t “slow” when you aren’t slow.
You may play faster then Jordan, but console rust is extremely slow and sluggish when youre used to pc.

ive played both and yes rust console is a lot slower and there's way less to do on console.
You can disable quick chat gestures in the settings. I started rust on console beta and everytime i would get in a fight i would accidentally click the right stick too hard and open that menu. Used to piss me off so i got rid of it

Jordan, you are able to change your setting with sensitivity, fov, and simple controls you are also able to change it so your L1 is headlock by going to the controls in settings and pressing the button to change your “special” I also started watching your yt videos almost for 2 years now and I also have 1400 hours on console

@@joelucchesi1795 its literally the best game (IMHO) available to play on next gen and its technically last gen. Some of us cant afford good pcs are more than happy and dump serious time into RCE

@@lokix_1607 its def better on pc for obvious reasons, but i actually enjoy the pace we are getting new content and bugs ironed out personally. Its an overwhelming game to begin with so its nice to see the more finished product on pc and kinda get an idea of where this game is heading, and like i said, there is NOTHING LIKE IT ON PLAYSTATION!!!!!

maining rocket league since its release taught me that custom settings on controllers is so much more important than it appears, like custom stick sensitivity curves and all. I never tried to perfect such settings in a gamepad shooter, but there are pros on console after all, so i imagine good settings would make a world of difference!

interesting video!! Hope to seeyou doing more rust console content if this wasnt too rough for you!! Some advice, turn off gestures asap, and it seems like you werent clicking in the joystick to sprint!!! Also, assign L1 (LB) button to head lock look so you can look around while moving

Great video, I play Rust Console and when you tried to fight and that gestures screen opened you felt the pain of all console players before you!
It isn't that Rust Console is a bad game individually, it can be a decent game, however it just doesn't compare to PC Rust. You need to think of them as completely different games as they will never really compare.
I have a lot of fun on Console Rust, PC Rust does look far, far superior. Console has a long way to go yet, but it is certainly improving (silly little bugs aside).

Console rust in new gen you can run by the highest graphics and have it run which it looks just as good as pc rust when you do that

Also what might help you out is expanding your field of view in your settings it'll make the screen zoom out so much and it helps

You should try again, they are adding horses soon, and the cultivator update is coming in a few days along with full blueprint wipe. As well as watch a video on best settings for ps5 rust console, so you can have better FOV and sensitivity, and have head look, and you can turn off the gestures to stop accidentally hitting it. makes the game feel and look a million times better

Also on rust console everyone is usually in xbox party or playstation party. So its hard to talk to people in game
Definitely an interesting look at the comparison between the two. The controller level play seems janky and difficult to fine-tune... but if that's what you've got to play it, then enjoy it.

I'm a console rust player. I recommend 1 thing. Turn ur sensitivity up to where you like it and put your FOV on maximum. You see SO much more. Anyway love the vids and keep the console rust vids coming they great

Jordan love your videos and as a Xbox user like myself I know your pain of people not communicating as much. How times have changed, 10 years ago everyone used a mic and communicated but we were toxic too. I wonder how much Rust would have been different if it came out 10 years ago vs a year or so ago. I miss those days and that's probably why I still get com bans on the Xbox. Anyway keep up the great content! As a content creator myself I know how hard it can be.

As a console player I would suggest that if you play again to turn up your sensitivity and change FOV as well as turn on head look. Also it’s nice to see someone playing console and at least giving it a chance.

You can use head look on console btw, it’s an option you have to set in your controls

Generally speaking, if you have pc dont waste your time on console. Coming from a console guy. On my way to the other side.
Sprint is r3, gestures can be disabled, you can add an icon to your screen that shows how many inventory slots you have left without checking manually

The parkour is tuff. I recently got it down myself after many, many attempts. Still fall sometimes.

Go in settings and turn your fov up to 90 it so much better and thank you for giving the game a chance and not saying it's terrible like other UA-camrs I have been playing rust on PS4 since it came out and it have been fun as hell but if you do play rust on PS5 again mess around with your settings
Okay Jordan I'll be honest with you, I play console edition rust because I can't afford to build or buy a PC right now and I don't play rust like everybody else I'm somebody who likes to build 11 different bases all around the map knowing that if I get raided I know I have a third fourth and fifth home waiting for me. Now I am not a child I have a job and bills to pay on a monthly basis and weekly basis. My life isn't this game but it's so fun unfortunately we don't have horses we don't have mini helies, and the range of monuments we can run is severely limited comparison of you we do have cargo and we do have oil rig both big and small. I love your videos I've watched them almost every single time when they come out and I'm sure that your opinion of console edition rust is severely limited to its sucks in comparison of PC. But I can tell you right now the best thing I've ever done in rust as a Console addition player is build a 7x7 Stone platform and made eighteen grids just for role-playing I made my own personal Outpost with an archery, Rock fight arena, fishing porch, dead center of everything was a 4v4 capture the flag arena with two bases one for blue and red team and even without a PC I am having a blast.

Ues rust console is brutal. Most people think me and my team are the worst group on server but i hand out a lot of kits to get people started
If press start then go to control layout you can change your L1/LT to head look (hold) and if you hold your your loot button you take everything in that inventory

There's a lot of settings you have to change including turning off inertia and boost multiplier and you can disable quick chat which is your gesture wheel

You can turn the gestures off in your settings,also you can hold square or circle to loot at once.
I tried console briefly on release and it was absolutely unplayable. It's come a long way but I have no desire to ever touch the console version again.
Jordan in settings u can turn head look on and turn off gestures (quick menu I think it’s called) and it helps so much
I have been playing rust on console for a while it’s actually really good when you start to know how to control the aim my aim was so bad at first now it’s really good
i have over 3.5k hours on console and you didn’t do bad at all but you should definitely look into changing your fov and turning things like motion blur and other graphics settings off because they just make the game look worse and you can change your L1 button to move your head around like in pc also you can turn off the gestures in the settings as well so you don’t keep bringing them up while your fighting

Awesome video mate i respect you for giving console a go, like the other guy in the comments said there are a lot of settings that can be changed that actually make a huge difference, i’ve sent you a friend request on playstation, if you ever decide to give console another shot give me a shout, id be more then happy to walk you through your settings and maybe even bring you along to a big raid. I’ve got more then 2,000 hours on console rust and i love the game.

I don’t have a PS but I’m pretty sure u can turn off gestures somewhere in the settings, I know how u feel I got so mad losing fights cause of it😭, And also u can quick loot by holding the square button👍🏽

When you play console are the servers only for console? Reason why I am asking is that doesn't consoles for these sort of games use an aimbot mechanic of sorts? If it does that could give the player an advantage over pc users.

When you go to kill someone and the gesture menu gets pulled up is the WORST when you are used to the stick being crouch

Hey Jordan I’ve watch a lot of your videos over the years. I just got rust on console and only played for one day. I like it so far. I haven’t found anyone to team up with but I also don’t know how to use the controls that much either.

You can go in settings and turn fov up to 90 and head look in controller settings. You just have to change quick drop with head look.

You can do MnK for Xbox but not sure for PS. Yes Halloween event was just added to console. No Halloween npc’s though
