Wake Tech - Welcome Back Students | Fall 2024

I’m Silas Johnson, SGA President for the 2024-25 academic year. I am so excited to welcome you to the fall semester at Wake Tech! Did you know, Wake Tech is so much more than a community college - we have hundreds of programs across thirteen Career Fields to meet your interest. From IT and Biotechnology to Hospitality and Healthcare, it’s easy to see why Wake Tech is considered one of the largest opportunity colleges in the nation.
If you’re new to Wake Tech, take a deep breath. You might feel a little overwhelmed at first, but it’s the goal of everyone here to help you fit in. Every degree seeking student is assigned a CARE Team with dedicated advisors, success coaches and career development specialists to provide first-in-class encouragement and support. In fact, I challenge you to take advantage of all the resources at the college! The faculty and staff truly want to see you succeed and graduate on time.
Alright, let’s get to the fun part - student life! You better believe Wake Tech has a vibrant student scene. Whether its clubs, organizations or intercollegiate athletics, Wake Tech offers a host of opportunities for YOU to find fun, fellowship and leadership opportunities.
