Collection airmail from Zeppelin captain Georg Hacker

In this video, auctioneer Ulrich Felzmann presents the collection from the estate of Georg Hacker. Georg Hacker (1870 - 1947) was the second airship captain of the great zeppelins after Graf Zeppelin.
The collection will be auctioned on 3 December 2020 in the stamp auction.

Georg Hacker's collection is as extensive as it is varied and takes us on a journey from sea to air. During his lifetime, Hacker not only wrote his own biography, he also kept professional diaries, documented zeppelin flights, collected photographs, even wrote poems and supplemented his notes with detailed, coloured drawings. Private correspondence with congratulations on his birthday is included, as well as a blueprint of an airship plan from the planning workshop of Luftschiff AG, mathematical calculations of lift, maps with markings of attack flights from the air and handwritten notes, certificates, pictorial maps and much more.
