After 6 months of quiet development, here's Schemer’s Magical Ride! This was a story concept I came up with back in January after realizing I had figurines that looked like Schemer, Burnett, and Stacy. What started off as a test video filmed on my desk made to the music used when Thomas pushes Lady to the coal depot has turned into a full short film. I'm very happy to finally see this complete and see you all enjoying it! And THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 1,000 SUBSCRIBERS! I love you all! ❤
Brilliant special to commemorate 21 years of TATMRR, and a very good idea to have Schemer as the main focus. I like the backstory you did of why he wasn't in the film (though for my theory, I always presume that he would've been visiting his nephew). I was hoping he'd meet Mr. Conductor at the end at last since he was the only one of the main characters not to have interacted with him (apart from the 4th of July episode of STS). Ah well, it's still enjoyable and I find it funny how he thought Thomas would make a perfect carnival ride and the latter got very offended by it.
I wrote this story back in January when I didn't have any conductor figures (I still only have 5 and none of them really look like Mr. Conductor) so I only added him as the final line of the story. Plus, doing Mr. Conductor in the Shining Time universe would be a nightmare given how small he would have to be. Maybe next year I can incorporate him more, but I already thought of an idea for next year's story
I can't even express into words how much I love this video and how grateful I am to have been Thomas in this Matt! What a beautiful video! The fun, very TATMR-esque dialogue and gorgeous soundtrack were a delight, as well as the editing and sound design. What a great continuation/epilogue to the film. Wonderful story overall, and I was very honored to voice Stacy in this! Keep up the excellent work!!
This is a very good mini sequel to Tatmr. The characters feel so right in this. And I think it was funny that Scheamer just hid under Lady the whole time they were going through the magic railroad without anyone noticing. Also I'm just realizing this right now 5:03 when Lady blew steam how did Scheamer not cough from that he was really close that might have actually stinged his eyes.

PRR 76 doesn't exist, it's an engine I got in the Bachmann Liberty Bell set, the 76 is a reference to the year 1776. Technically 475 is in the video though, as 76's whistle is 475's current whistle
Well, it's not like Schemer hasn't hijacked a steam engine before. In "Once Upon a Time", he tried to drive an engine to get Stacy to care about him after a cowboy showed up, and got too scared that it was moving and jumped off.
Now, this would have made a potential sequel to "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" with the return of Schemer and Stacy finally meeting Thomas the Tank Engine on the Island of Sodor!
WellDone Thomas that little engine mean's a whole alot to me i'm glad i actually found myself loving this engine & all of his sodor friends i can't imagine a world without him at all cause it would suck without Thomas The Tank Engine
But schemer is not the only shining time station character who didn’t appear in Thomas and the magic railroad. Dan, Kara, Becky, Midge Smoot and J.B. King didn’t appear either

I really hope to work at Mattel as a writer, producer, director and storyman. And at the same time I really want to save the Thomas franchise, because nowadays it's the type of version that all of the hardcore Thomas fans don't like. Wacky 2D animation, that feels like watching old fashioned Disney Mickey Mouse cartoons, as well as the new Mickey Mouse cartoons that you could watch on Disney Channel and Disney plus, and the new 2D wacky version of Thomas and Friends even feels like watching Looney tunes at the same time. So if I work at Mattel as a writer, producer, director and storyman and convince the producers of what they're doing to Thomas is all wrong. So hopefully the show can go back to the old roots, not in the use of model animation. Because it will be very too expensive to produce and so forth, but I hope we can go back to CGI animation. And taking the realism basics, charm, a little bit of humor but not too much humor. Storyteller AKA a narrator telling the story, and to have the characters to show their great personalities, along with education. All of that of how the show used to be when it first started from the original season 1 of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, and that was even translated into CGI from season 13 to season 21. I'm hoping that like what was written and produced with education from season 13 to season 21, of the CGI version of Thomas and Friends. I hope that original style and CGI, I really hope to bring that back. And go back to its old roots from there, with those ideas. I really hope to convince the producers at Mattel to do that, to save and to make the Thomas franchise popular all over again. And at the same time I'm going to try to convince them, that there are hardcore Thomas fans out there at that produce their own stories for those who love characters especially Thomas himself. In their own form of CGI animation, and of course their own models. I want to try to tell the producers, that we need to hire those great people, and to present their stories and write their stories for Mattel. In order for me to convince the producers at Mattel to make Thomas and Friends to go back to the old roots, but not with model animation because that will be too expensive like I said. But with CGI animation. And I hope the producers at Mattel will agree, and will try to get a hold of some of those hardcore Thomas fans out there. That had brought to life the characters in their own CGI animation, and models that were seen on UA-cam. And I'm hoping you can be one of them, if I ever convince the Mattel producers to hire you at the same time. And I hope like what was brought to life in this video, I hope it could be brought to life in CGI animation. Because to tell you the truth I really hope that Mattel can do a full CGI animated version of Thomas and the Magic Railroad, to feature PT Boomer as the human villain. And not only that but also bring some of the other characters as part of that animated reboot, like how Britt allcroft wrote itfor the original script of Thomas and the Magic Railroad. So just like from that, I hope that cranky the crane, George the steamroller and Edward the blue engine can finally make their rolls for Thomas and the Magic Railroad. As a full animated CGI reboot of the movie. And even though I kind of think a little bit about it, I hope that Mavis, Emily, Rosie, Rebecca and Nia can be part of it as well. So I'm hoping my idea of rebooting Thomas and the Magic Railroad in full CGI animation can be a wonderful dream come true, I'm also hoping if Mattel can join horses and collaborate with Disney to help promote. And present the movie altogether. and if that ever happens and could be successful then the live-action version, after that I hope that a few sequels can be made as follow-ups and new chapters. Hey man! This is really enthusiastic and admirable of you to go for this kind of job, but I just wanna tell you that I've actually spoken with a Mattel rep and they aren't going to hire fans based on fan content. The TCC from way back when was basically that and from what I've heard it was not great. Overworked, underpaid, no clear direction, it was a mess. Mattel also just wants to forget about magic railroad so remaking it in CGI would be impossible. Mattel is a huge corporation with different departments running different parts of the process and even they aren't always clued in on what's being said up top. So while I don't want to ruin your dreams (if this is what you want to do you absolutely should), hiring on fans will not happen. Also I wouldn't want to work for Mattel anyway. Personally I see it as a lost cause. I'd rather work at Strasburg and keep the wonder of steam trains around for future generations.
