I played Uncharted 4 first because i got it as a bundle with my ps4 and i didnt know anything of the past games or the story, but it was amazing, one of the best games i ever played!

I remember this time when my uncle told me that there will be a very realistic game called uncharted 3 “Drake’s Deception” and we were playing together and now I’m 17 and when we finished uncharted 1 and 2 we were sad and happy :) but when we saw ending screen in U4 we were so empty inside and reminded when we were younger that great times with this brilliant series

there's something so pure about the Uncharted series. No politics, no needlessly traumatic deaths, just pure adventure and companionship. Reminds me of the world of innocence and exploration I imagined before everything became so adulterated and grim.
Not gonna lie, no matter how much gamers want to tell me about who they think is the best character in video games history, talking about their Joel, their Kratos, their Lara Croft, I'll never change my mind on this subject Nathan Drake is the best character in video game history, what a legend.
Uncharted 4 is the perfect send off for two reasons, Sam Drake and Rafe Adler. Sam represents who Nate was. Reckless, daring and curious to a fault. In many ways, Nate still is, but has tempered himself and is matured in ways Sam is not. In confronting Sam and his recklessness, Nate realizes what he is and isn’t willing to risk for the x at the end of the map, and both brothers are better for it. Rafe, I’d argue, is even more significant a character. I’m honestly surprised no one talks about it more. Rafe represents so many aspects of Nate both congruent and opposite. First I’ll take about opposites. Rafe is in it for money and glory. While he is a billionaire, I’d be dishonest to say greed played absolutely no part in his desire for Averys treasure. But his primary motive is glory, making a name for himself like Nate has. Remember, Rafes obsession with Averys treasure has occurred throughout all four games. You hear the rage in his voice when he incredulously recites all of Nates accomplishments, while he has nothing to show for himself. “Nathan Drake is a legend…I killed the man who told me that.” This is exceptionally telling. Every single one of Nathan’s adversaries in the previous games fought Nate because he was in their way. Rafe hates Nathan because of who he is, and is the only villain to do so. But they’re also similar. They are willing to go to exceptional lengths to achieve their goals. We can argue that Rafe is a poor treasure hunter, but give credit where credit is due; Rafe has absolutely no quit in him. His obsession is a parallel to both Nate and Sam, and gives Nate a frightening look at what he could become in the dark underworld of black market treasure hunting. And we know it’s possible because he has dealt with it. In addition, Rafe is smart enough to utilize the resources at his disposal and even turn a mercenary army against their leader. He’s charismatic, he’s charming and is intelligent when he wants to be, his crux being his emotions and his obsession to succeed before Nate does. And that’s what makes the sword fight on the Fancy so goddamn poignant. I’d wager Thomas Tew said similar things to Henry Avery as they fought that Rafe said to Nate. It’s a fight between the hunter obsessed with the prize, and the hunter who has learned when to walk away. It’s so goddamn brilliant, even more so when you consider that Rafe died as he lived, crushed by the legend of a better man…
One of the last great Western games before the cancer that is the multiplayer era filled with microtransations, truly an emotional and fitting song for one of the best and probably last great game to be released, aside from the lost legacy
I came back to hear this after seeing the new movie. And I honestly feel so happy I could hear it in there. I never wanted their story to end. You just don't find stories like naughty dog does anymore. And non like Nathan's story. I honestly tear up whenever I hear this song, and get so happy

I know, I'm a year late, but nvm that. This game technically is the 5th instalment if u count Golden Abyss. Yes it wasn't developed by Naughty Dog, but there's one Easter egg in U4 ATE referencing the game, which I guess makes it canon. If that doesn't work for u, there's the lost legacy.
Mirko Žaja too perfectly. He didn't loose anything so it felt kinda emotionless. I love the uncharted games but it's kinda sad that naughty dog never had the guts to kill off anyone of the good characters. I mean they had a perfect opportunity to kill Chloe in U2 a perfect opportunity to kill Charley cutter or Sully in U3 and a perfect moment to kill Sam in U4 but they never did
Just listening to this doesn't only bring back amazing memories, it also brings tears of joy as well as sadness. I'm sure most people here can relate to this. I personally first played Uncharted when I got my PS3 since it came with the game itself. Playing throughout all 4 games and living within these characters really made me love this game. Especially Nathan. Goddamn that dude is a tough nut. I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best games that was ever released on PS3. Thank you Naughty Dog for all the good memories and the amazing experience. Much love to you guys!

I think the original Nate's Theme 4.0 captured the mood of the adventure well and some of the other tracks in the game are superb, better than the majority of tracks in the previous games. Imagine Nathan and Elena aboard the S.S. Sully (named after an old friend) in the North Sea searching for a lost Viking treasure video chatting with Cassie who is on spring break rock climbing in Central America. While Cassie is showing Nathan and Elena some strange Aztec artifacts she found guns for hire break in and kidnap Nathan and Elena. Cassie sees the whole thing and calls Uncle Sam to help her find them. Upon reaching the S.S. Sully, Sam and Cassie discover the Vikings had gone further than anyone ever realized and they have to find the treasure to save her parents. Uncharted 5: The Rise of Drake
I would think that Nate will give up his adventurous days. Not because he wants to but to honor his friend/brother/wife. I think that's a more fitting end than killing him off. So he won't die, but someone else might.
I can see envision a scene kind of like the end of Uncharted 2, where Nate goes into the lions den to destroy whatever the supernatural force is in this game, naturally being stopped by Rafe or Nadine just before doing it. Final boss fight, defeat, Nate tries to escape, something causes the place to collapse and just before Nate's in the clear, he falls to an apparent death, of course they'd have to make it dramatic as well.
+Ryan Schmidt I suppose we could make it right in front of his brother as well. The screen jumps to the survivors that went with Nate to the island, likely Sully and Sam, getting on a boat reminiscent of the ending of the first game, though obviously much more melancholy. Before taking the wheel of the boat, Sully has a talk with Sam possibly another "We don't get to choose how we start in this life..." type speeches or just comfort for his brother, then ends it with handing him something iconic of Drake, such as his journal. As they began sailing away from the island, Sam facing the island looks through the journal to see what his brother has done with the hand he's been dealt. He eventually finds a clue that his brother may be alive, possibly a message, or an old newspaper article or something about how Francis Drake faked his death. Sam acquires a faint smile as he realizes that his brother has followed in his "ancestor's" footsteps.

Derpy Gaming infinity/10 for me... and it's actually my 2nd uncharted game (after golden abyss) because i had an xbox 360 in the last generation.
Uncharted 4 is the perfect send off for two reasons, Sam Drake and Rafe Adler.
Sam represents who Nate was. Reckless, daring and curious to a fault. In many ways, Nate still is, but has tempered himself and is matured in ways Sam is not. In confronting Sam and his recklessness, Nate realizes what he is and isn’t willing to risk for the x at the end of the map, and both brothers are better for it.
Rafe, I’d argue, is even more significant a character. I’m honestly surprised no one talks about it more. Rafe represents so many aspects of Nate both congruent and opposite. First I’ll take about opposites.
Rafe is in it for money and glory. While he is a billionaire, I’d be dishonest to say greed played absolutely no part in his desire for Averys treasure. But his primary motive is glory, making a name for himself like Nate has. Remember, Rafes obsession with Averys treasure has occurred throughout all four games. You hear the rage in his voice when he incredulously recites all of Nates accomplishments, while he has nothing to show for himself. “Nathan Drake is a legend…I killed the man who told me that.” This is exceptionally telling. Every single one of Nathan’s adversaries in the previous games fought Nate because he was in their way. Rafe hates Nathan because of who he is, and is the only villain to do so.
But they’re also similar. They are willing to go to exceptional lengths to achieve their goals. We can argue that Rafe is a poor treasure hunter, but give credit where credit is due; Rafe has absolutely no quit in him. His obsession is a parallel to both Nate and Sam, and gives Nate a frightening look at what he could become in the dark underworld of black market treasure hunting. And we know it’s possible because he has dealt with it. In addition, Rafe is smart enough to utilize the resources at his disposal and even turn a mercenary army against their leader. He’s charismatic, he’s charming and is intelligent when he wants to be, his crux being his emotions and his obsession to succeed before Nate does.
And that’s what makes the sword fight on the Fancy so goddamn poignant. I’d wager Thomas Tew said similar things to Henry Avery as they fought that Rafe said to Nate. It’s a fight between the hunter obsessed with the prize, and the hunter who has learned when to walk away. It’s so goddamn brilliant, even more so when you consider that Rafe died as he lived, crushed by the legend of a better man…

I love the uncharted games but it's kinda sad that naughty dog never had the guts to kill off anyone of the good characters. I mean they had a perfect opportunity to kill Chloe in U2 a perfect opportunity to kill Charley cutter or Sully in U3 and a perfect moment to kill Sam in U4 but they never did

Just listening to this doesn't only bring back amazing memories, it also brings tears of joy as well as sadness. I'm sure most people here can relate to this. I personally first played Uncharted when I got my PS3 since it came with the game itself. Playing throughout all 4 games and living within these characters really made me love this game. Especially Nathan. Goddamn that dude is a tough nut. I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best games that was ever released on PS3. Thank you Naughty Dog for all the good memories and the amazing experience. Much love to you guys!

Also I think the background choir is a little out of place in this one personally.

I can't believe that a game series that i started out of boredom 5 years ago is now my favorite series of playstation and one of my favorite in general, i'm so glad i decided to give it a try back then and now that i've played all the games i can safely say that these games are a certified blast
While I may have only joined in on the Uncharted series in 2015, and still haven't played Golden Abyss... this song.... this song makes my feels go into overdrive. This song just seems to emphasize the end of a fantastic series and the end of Nathan Drake's story. Although I may have been way to late to the party, I'm exponentially happy I did.

Imagine Nathan and Elena aboard the S.S. Sully (named after an old friend) in the North Sea searching for a lost Viking treasure video chatting with Cassie who is on spring break rock climbing in Central America. While Cassie is showing Nathan and Elena some strange Aztec artifacts she found guns for hire break in and kidnap Nathan and Elena. Cassie sees the whole thing and calls Uncle Sam to help her find them. Upon reaching the S.S. Sully, Sam and Cassie discover the Vikings had gone further than anyone ever realized and they have to find the treasure to save her parents.

I would think that Nate will give up his adventurous days. Not because he wants to but to honor his friend/brother/wife. I think that's a more fitting end than killing him off. So he won't die, but someone else might.
I can see envision a scene kind of like the end of Uncharted 2, where Nate goes into the lions den to destroy whatever the supernatural force is in this game, naturally being stopped by Rafe or Nadine just before doing it. Final boss fight, defeat, Nate tries to escape, something causes the place to collapse and just before Nate's in the clear, he falls to an apparent death, of course they'd have to make it dramatic as well.
+Ryan Schmidt I suppose we could make it right in front of his brother as well. The screen jumps to the survivors that went with Nate to the island, likely Sully and Sam, getting on a boat reminiscent of the ending of the first game, though obviously much more melancholy. Before taking the wheel of the boat, Sully has a talk with Sam possibly another "We don't get to choose how we start in this life..." type speeches or just comfort for his brother, then ends it with handing him something iconic of Drake, such as his journal. As they began sailing away from the island, Sam facing the island looks through the journal to see what his brother has done with the hand he's been dealt. He eventually finds a clue that his brother may be alive, possibly a message, or an old newspaper article or something about how Francis Drake faked his death. Sam acquires a faint smile as he realizes that his brother has followed in his "ancestor's" footsteps.
