Very well done ! There are so many great cars, and they are gone forever. This was a time when styling was THE most important thing on the list. Each car had their own style and legendary following. I saw a new Audi today and from the back couldn't tell if it was a Lexus, or a Mercedes . Totally boring !
Folks there are tons of good shape classics out there these days that are truly affordable. These kind of cars mostly have low value these days cause the younger generation doesnt want them. Now is a great time to buy one of these old classics. They need good homes !
I was a teen in the 1970's and i loved ehat thet call land yachts today, we had a 1973 buick park ave electra, 455. She was a beautiful machine, like driving in a living room.
Vinton Hayworth at 45:36 , the uncle by blood of Rita Hayworth and the uncle by marriage of Ginger Rogers . Here pushing Buicks on the Milton Berle show on which he was the announcer .
At 28:15 Jack Lescoulie , the announcer on the 1950s Jackie Gleason show . The adult co star on an early 1960s children' s TV show with a young Richard Thomas , later of The Waltons . A long time sidekick to Dave Garroway on the Today Show . And not exactly Barbara Walters favorite in her early days on the Today Show . The always smiling Jack had other duties besides those mentioned .
At 1:03 that commercial seems to be what today would be considered sexist . That well heeded lady getting out with her mink stole and little doggie and hopping into that new 1955 De Soto with the dashboard lever auto transmission . A gift from Daddy Warbucks . Groucho would be proud !
I love how back then every brand advertised we have the lowest price the lowest price now its lets see how much money we can get out of people for cheaply made car
Very interesting video. But, as a kid in the 50's color tv was not available so much (I remember about '58 that color tv was on the horizon). Where were these ads in color appeared? Movie theaters? So in '54 or '55 as some of the Chevy ads where were these ads?
All The Things NOT, Where are the Packards, Studebakers, Hudsons, and Willys? I have seen those cars in other old car retro views. Just by dropping a few of the Oldsmobile shots, you could put in those four missing cars
What are YOU thinking of? The 58 and 59 Chevys were breathless cats meow gorgeous designs at the time and thousands of nb57's to 59's are lovingly restored and show up at 50's shows and vintage car rallies each year......
I'd LOVE to either either that 54 DeSoto or that 54 Lincoln - both cars are absolutely gorgeous!
These are the commercials you DONT see on youtube. Thank you !!

It’s chilling when you think of some of the accident photos of the 40s and 50s…and then notice that none of the cars had seat belts….😮
how can be accident when the car cant even reach 80km/h

FANTASTIC! Thank you!❤
Wow!! Awesome, thank you
They sure beat the crossovers and suvs offered today
These ads are over the top & ridiculously funny too.
Thank you, pj, for the shout out! So much good stuff but absolutely biggest thing is cross promotion across platforms always gets screwy
That ‘58 Olds is sick. 🤟

I had an old Pontiac Bonneville I called "Fat Bonnie" my kids called her the couch car.
is it weird that i play this to fall asleep to? lol
no
The 61 Chevrolet ad is brilliant, and portends Pink Floyd's On the run video, which i assume it inspired.
I noticed how they advertise cars for less money. They do whatever they can, and jack up the prices nowadays no matter what it takes.
that new glide ride front suspension
1948 power seats and windows
But not electric

OLDSmobility was the word for 1958, according to Florence Henderson...of course that was before she discovered her (ping!} Wessonality!
I had a : 66 black and red vinyl soft top with spoked wheels . Wish I never sold it .
Just found your channel and had to subscribe; pretty neat content, keep it up! 😁👍
Cool! Great idea!! Cigarette commercials next?

I've been looking everywhere for one of these dealerships. I just can't find any today.😢
most likely all torn down or turned into something else
Que buen video sobre un carro tan emblematico para la marca
Power seat and window? I guess new cars haven’t really improved

They were out there, just a bit expensive. Color broadcasts started in the late 40s if I remember correctly.
Legal imagina mais ainda no futuro as pessoas vendo isso
The front of the 1949 Lincoln sure has a hangdog look about it.
Dam the village is poping off george
Love some of the reasons why to buy a certain brand or model. Ford had a special double lock door latch. Chevy had a pedal emergency brake. Hilarious
Pontiac and Plymouth were badass

everything is 20k to 30k overpriced. They will not cut them enough for me to want one because I dont like the emissions regulations imposed on them.
Intros are dumb and I skip them.

I hate early 50s cars when women begin to dive and have a say it all went to shit
DONT WATCH NOT 1 STUDEBAKER CAR COMMERCIAL

1959 Chevy is the ugliest car they ever made, 1958 is number two. What were those designer's thinking.
