1:49 Now I know am 11 years late but I think I know the issue as to what causes the "Special Tank" glitch, this happened a couple months back when I was in a Parish VS match, one of our teammates was chosen to be the Tank, but he left? Soon after a computer Boomer took his place and we lost the Tank, However what we didn't know is that this Boomer was the Tank... I am not 100% sure if this is how it happens, but if a person leaves the game as the "You will be the Tank" message pops up, and then they leave afterward, this causes the Tank to be 1 of the 6 Special Infected.

The Tank was just cosplaying as the Boomer.
