- I feel the Hydra is very balanced and would require almost no tweaking so don't take any complaining as serious as i'm pretty sure I only celebrate in like 1 clip LOL; however I am using the best gear for all the kills I did. Once my HCIM is ready to go Hydra we will see if any difference, although Blowpipe is still incredible DPS & Hydra's defence is very low (good thing for slayer bosses!). It has unique mechanics and is perfect for an optional slayer boss rather than a difficult challenge.
Drop table averages around 125k/kill for most tabs I saw on Twitter. With strong gear around 30 kills/hour probably easily possible which could lead to over 4M/hour before supply expenses. As this is task only & EVERYBODY has point farmed and skipped to get it Day 1, I feel the items will drop massively then slowly increase as camping Vorkath/Zulrah 24/7 is still better gp/hour than pursueing a Hydra task.

I also didn't have an empty bank tab or using RuneLite NPC tracker or whatever; will defo do that for next boss/demi release to show my own results in one place. Drops were very repetitive but most alched for GP

I am a poor, poor nooblet, but even in blessed D'Hide and with a Blowpipe, my average kill time is 2:30-2:45 and I can do 5-6 a trip without banking. The boss becomes slightly quicker with the best gear in the game, but is not really any more difficult even with lower tier gear. I can usually get from one phase to the next with only one special attack (lightning, fire floor, or poison) and rarely have to deal with 2 special attacks in one phase.
I still like the boss a lot though. It's fun and I enjoy the fact that every attack has a pattern to it so if you're good and practice a lot you can take next to no damage on each kill. Predictability and skill rather than randomness and luck (think Zammy GWDs) are hall marks of good boss design. Plus it looks fantastic.

A lot of people were prepared for this and had a fuck load of slayer points to blow on getting Hydra tasks, that's why so many people have gotten pets.

People lets be real. When osrs first came out. It was just as cool as it used to be, with nostalgia playing the key role. Nowadays, osrs is becoming the same as rs3 basically. The only differences are the graphics and the 1-99 hitpoints. As for the rest it is rs3

as for every high level update the rich people with all the best shit are the ones that farm it to the point that people who dont have all the 100m items like rapier and shit like that wont be able to get a drop before people like you crash the price. part of the reason i skill more now because pvm is about having better gear and shit.
