I went to look at a house for sale a year ago which had a very similar thing going on, 3 sump pumps working 24/7 to keep the water from the ground outside the property from flooding the basement. So, if the power went out, or even worse... if a pump just quit, ... you're in serious trouble. There was no generator system with the home, but it wouldn't matter if a pump just quit anyway when you're not home. I cant believe in today's age that a home can even be sold in such a condition. And those old stone foundations are just trouble waiting to happen.. And it was a real shame because the house itself was beautiful
