Absolutely love the style of those lights! They make your land look like an Instagram photo shoot. And as someone who researched a lot of off-grid batteries for a campervan, I have to say your Anker demo with two saws running at once was by far the most impressive demo I've ever seen for a portable battery! 😱
Agreed, looks magical. Re forgetting the ladder, a 'telescoping ladder' might be a handy thing to just live in one of the trucks? They come in various sizes, weights and quality. Very handy 👍😃
Colour Rendering Index mentioned 👍 Indeed most LED drivers are quite tolerant of what you feed them, but giving them a super clean supply will help with heat and lifespan. End result looked sweet!
I love the part about how you made the light box. It was a lot of information but awesome to see the whole process and finished product. I'm going to show my elec. engineering friend how awesome this is. Great video and overall series!
I really enjoyed the more technical side of putting up the lights. If it's not something you do often but think about of doing it's great to see how it can be done. Becki just hanging out made me laugh out loud, so did JENGA!😊
Love your videos the cinematography is always brill, I'm really loving the sleepy creek series what a great place to have for adventures and those lights make the place look sweet its gonna be so nice when you have it all done.
You two do great work on interesting projects. I checked in to see how your helicopter was coming along and got hooked on your property project Thanks!!
or you could have gotten 220v tools and wire the garage to phase1 and phase2 live . and use 1/2 the Amps it would normally draw.. plus 220v tools are much better.
That BOX is awesome Chris. IHooks with latches, a specific brand you would recommend? Thinking these would be perfect for Christmas lights. Love the work you are doing here, also thanks for the weekly entertainment. My little Bernie Sanders 🤣
This channel is so all over the place! It’s fucking awesome! I came here to learn how to take Real Estate photos and I have been hooked ever since! Now I have to figure out how to buy a Helicopter on a state employees pay 🤣 Seriously you guys are awesome! Super nerdy and goofy but it’s rad!
The last few episodes I noticed the videos being a little shy on the story element. This time I feel that you did waaay better on that front. Great job!
I came to be entertained, I left needing to know what in the world is this magic of a low voltage circuit breaker (switch box). I thought this was a VLOG not a rabbit hole! 🥸
This is sick!! Are you able to use the solar panels to charge the system when you're camping? Or does the tree coverage prevent this? Chris said that the lights could be powered for 2 days using the stored power. What if you wanted to camp for a 3-4 days?
The tree coverage would prevent the solar, however we have been toying with the idea of adding panels to separate part of the property that gets more light! The little battery can be recharged in the truck if it runs out over the weekend, but if we need it for longer we will bring along that big f3800 battery!
Wen u launch a blooper channel 😂 But seriously, this was super interesting! Got some inspiration to get rid of any DC to AC to DC converters as it indeed makes no sense. Will you install solar panels at the land?
The projects out here are starting to get a little more complex! This might be one of my favourites on the channel so far 😊
Facts ❤
Saw Becki reading “Will To Wild”. Love that book and podcast. What other outdoor content creators do you like?
I love how much Becki loved the remote for the lights. It’s so clever and handy!!
It’s such a game changer! No running to the tent in the dark!
Just a box with some switches.... Tadaaaaa, magic forest !!!! 🌲💡🌲💡🌳💡🌲💡🌳💡🚙

They make the place so comfy and cozy!! Aw thanks so much, we tried hard to max it out, was very difficult 😂 excited to have it part of the kit!
“Decreased the entropy of the system”. Hilarious. I spat out my tea guffawing.
I was just thinking damnit I'm a nerd for understanding that😂😂😂

That is the best feeling when a project works out how you were envisioning it!
So satisfying!!!
Love it! I'm lowkey waiting on the "We created a permanent hydro power system from the river" video.... Love what you guys are doing! 😀
That would be rad! I wish the river was a little more powerful so we could do something like that! Thanks much!
I love the part about how you made the light box. It was a lot of information but awesome to see the whole process and finished product. I'm going to show my elec. engineering friend how awesome this is. Great video and overall series!
Chris is a certified professional electrician.
I really enjoyed the more technical side of putting up the lights. If it's not something you do often but think about of doing it's great to see how it can be done.
Becki just hanging out made me laugh out loud, so did JENGA!😊
I’ve seen many videos with battery backups like this, however, this is the ONLY one that I actually got a good case use from
You two have designed an awesome life for yourselves. Love your work. 👍🦘
Super impressive! This is no small undertaking, grading land, building platforms and a pretty intense camp light system. Well done and fun to watch!
Thanks much! Having a blast!
LOVE. That was brilliant. Loved the result and I dream of having a private campsite like this one day!
Yay for Sundays! I'd love to do any of these projects you guys work on. So inspirational. Coolest couple ever ❤
Sold !!! I need the Anker for my future home in Texas.
Whad'ya at? I keep watching these videos, you keep showing the plans, I don't recall seeing the helipad on a single one of the drawings. 🚁
Absolutely killer light setup y'all got there! 💡🙌
This series is so cool! Wishing you all the luck with this adventure :) You're a big inspiration to us starting a channel
Love how everything is coming along. Great job guys.
We have that same Solix and it's a beast that gives us amazing peace of mind. 👏🏼
We love it!
Love your videos the cinematography is always brill, I'm really loving the sleepy creek series what a great place to have for adventures and those lights make the place look sweet its gonna be so nice when you have it all done.
Thanks so much!
These video’s are so nice. In the Busy working life, just tobwatch this and instantly relax.
Glad you like them!
"I don't know enough about electronics." Continues to solder and build an outdoor fuse box. Nice.
the bernie sanders call though 🤣
Monotonous projects suck the will to live right out of me. I think it is so cool when you can do them.
So awesome!
Commenting because I watched and enjoyed!
🙏🏼🙏🏼
This episode hurt my heard then soothed my head at the end 😅
Great episode!!!
I Love this so much guys. Inspiring and fun.
Awesome video and great job Chris looks amazing
You two do great work on interesting projects. I checked in to see how your helicopter was coming along and got hooked on your property project Thanks!!
Love this episode and the entire series.
....and a master electrician. I am going to look into the Anker SOLIX because I hear we are going to have a busy hurricane season, yikes.
Oh gosh yeah it would be a perfect backup for hurricane season for sure!
HGTV should give y'all a show lol
Agreed!!!!
"I've significantly decreased the entropy of the system!..." which means somewhere even more entropy was created/
or you could have gotten 220v tools and wire the garage to phase1 and phase2 live . and use 1/2 the Amps it would normally draw.. plus 220v tools are much better.

My little Bernie Sanders 🤣
Thanks much! I think he just got random ones off Amazon!
Looks good so far
Bernie Sanders.... Bahahahaha y'all are a riot!! Love the videos, they always get my Sunday mornings off to a happy start. :)
Thanks much! Happy Sunday!
Bonus Swish Swish dance. 😜
NERDS!! …and I mean that in the most positive way like I wish I had the brain capacity to do what you guys do 😅
🤣🤣🤣
I need this photography book asap!!!!!! but is out of stock.
At what point are you adding the QVC logo at top right?😂
🤣
Nice Hat! WZ paint coming soon
👀👀👀

😂😂 thanks much!! Definitely follows our life vs niche but thanks for being along for the ride!
The last few episodes I noticed the videos being a little shy on the story element. This time I feel that you did waaay better on that front. Great job!
Sometimes it’s hard to make a story out of a build video, this one had many more elements to work with!
Let’s count how many times Chris says “low voltage” in this lol
Great video as always though!
I came to be entertained, I left needing to know what in the world is this magic of a low voltage circuit breaker (switch box). I thought this was a VLOG not a rabbit hole! 🥸
Sorrrrry!! 😂
Super cool! How have those lights held up over time?
Pretty good! A few strings came down with the wind over the winter but it’s holding up well!
"I dont know enough about elektronics" proceeds to go full elektronic beast mode making a magical e-box

Certified Radiologist & Electrician,nice 😂
Wen u launch a blooper channel 😂 But seriously, this was super interesting! Got some inspiration to get rid of any DC to AC to DC converters as it indeed makes no sense. Will you install solar panels at the land?
Heck yeah!! I think we will add solar panels at somepoint!
What are your plans of protection for the site and its individual locations against weather, animals, delinquents etc.? Just curious
Not much we can do about weather and animals, but cameras eventually and we always carry some sort of protection while we are there
@@BeckiandChrislook into Byrna. I can only assume you guys are not gun people, Byrna is a great non lethal option.
Dang Doctor engineer what can’t you do, Chris?
I haven’t been getting notifications for you guys. I’m behind like twelve videos 😢
You put a lot of work into this. Are you not worried about vandals destroying it all? I know in my neck of the woods, somebody would.
Definitely worried about it and brace myself everytime we visit
I would build outdoor toilet first.
That’s up next! Sort of 😂
and then you build a solar array with wood or tool storage below....????!!?!
That’s a good idea!!!
starting at $3000?!?!?! lol
