He felt that the long term was going to benefit from the temporary loss of freedom. It both makes him a sort of 2d character (You JUST NOW, took to heart the obvious counter to the actions you want to take, Supes?) and strangely, makes him all the more real by showing that somewhere in the back of his mind, he might have felt swept on by events and steeled by the thought that "ends justify the means." Having it be Lois... boy...such perfect writing. Of course, it's Lois. Absolutely perfect. That ending though...goodness. I honestly got chills.
They ruined the ending with the animated movie of "Superman The Red Son", if they just had stuck with the comic version man, what an epic movie it would be!!
Rodney McKay Batman isn't a villian in there. He just accepted killing as something that happens in his line of work. Which changed because of Superman.
Zvonimir Tomac. His murderous intentions for killing Superman (in BvS) seems to be a sure indication of him being a villain. For him being a good detective, he should've never gone that route & would've known Superman wasn't the enemy. I blame the filmmakers.
I like the way Superman was defeated but I don't dig how everything in the end just turns out to be a loop. So what, the Red Son story/elseworld is really just a time paradox? And if it is how did it become a time paradox?
pretty sure he DCJ understood that, doesn't excuse the causal loop. Cusal loop is the particular type of paradox that this is and in this particular case it goes like this: descruction of the planet in the future causes superman to be sent back, causing the events of the comic ending with the destruction of the planet constantly looping over and over. That alone is not a time paradox, that's just cause and effect. The paradox comes in when you think about the cause of the causal loop. In the very first time-line in that particular reality there wouldn't have been a superman coming back because time wouldn't have run it's course yet so the new planet wouldn't have sent superman back to begin with, so that reality would have no superman. Now if you say that the new planet was settled in that reality and the same thing happened which caused the loop then that too is a paradox because then the original time-line could never have happened which would have meant that the superman time-line would never have happened due to the sequential nature of time even when it comes to time-lines.

Red sun really is a great story I have always liked it! I really love how the puts a great twist on the superman mythos by having superman being lex luthors great grandson to the 51st power its such a good ending how everything is destined to happen again just like that over and over again such great writing! I'm glad you put the 3rd volume today I watched volume 2 earlier and was wondering when u were gonna do volume 3 good choice on deciding today was the day for it made my day that much better thank you bro!
I like all the throwbacks to the olden days. It just shows the writer isn't throwing a curve ball because they can but is actually, in a sense, staying very true to the stories because he knows them. Also not helping someone who is getting mugged is not the same as mugging them. One should be aware that offering assistance only when one is able is the real key. If someone sees another getting mugged, rushes over to help only to get mugged too then that was the wrong action. Not everyone has the ability to be a hero and the difference between a hero and a coward is often a wife and mortgage.

The sun should be fine since it's 93 millions miles away from Earth :). Anyway, I always enjoyed this Superman story. Still enjoying even 'til this day. Thumbs up.
meh if they had martian manhunter he would kinda curb supes
Nah lmao supes has plot amour in this story. He too out the green lanterns, amazonians and doomsday, parasite etc too fast. MM can't stand against these plot armour. Still an amazing story tho
This was absolutely brilliant to me. I thanks for this video.
If the only difference is superman in a commie why isn't Martian man hunter here. Also where is all the magic users?
Just a Manatee Could be that they really didn't want to be apart of humanity's communism so they just reside in America.
They are not here because they would not add to the story.
Great video as always :)
5:10 and that is exacly why we have capitalism right now, because where
Communism is a ugly truth
Capitalism is a beutiful lie.
FUCK YEAH been waiting all WEEK for this rob
I love this comic and you did an awesome job putting it in context for the world.
bless you rob, love coming home to videos after school (vol 2)
then drops (vol 3)
Surprisingly, that is an awesome ending! I thought it was going to lead to our version of superman, but having it start it's own history over again . . Nice twist!
HOLY MOTHER OF ALL COMICS! This was AMAZING!!
Such a great story and that ending
What a great ending. For amazing stories like this is the reason I love DC.
I love that you don't make us wait for whole other week to Finnish the story
Red sun really is a great story I have always liked it! I really love how the puts a great twist on the superman mythos by having superman being lex luthors great grandson to the 51st power its such a good ending how everything is destined to happen again just like that over and over again such great writing! I'm glad you put the 3rd volume today I watched volume 2 earlier and was wondering when u were gonna do volume 3 good choice on deciding today was the day for it made my day that much better thank you bro!
WOW!!! .. thank you Rob, great!, great! vídeo.
It’s been a ride watching and understanding the movie. Amazing content!
I bought and read this book about a year ago, and it has not lost any enjoyment. mark millar did a fantastic job with this book, just like with kick-ass, kingsman, ultimates, and ultimate x-men.
that was actually amazing. Do more like this!!!!
