Lived in Mid West City in the 90's. Now I'm stick in Cleveland oh. Oh how I miss OKC. I will never forget the bombing even though I was in 1st grade. OKC is a amazing city and it has just blossomed in the last 10 years.
I was born and raised in oklahoma half of my life. Oklahoma is a very lay back and love the weathers. Get insurance and shelter for a tornado. Most people work for FAA to make a decent living. Oklahoma city grown fast since F5 tornado on May 3, 1999. Everything changed for better life in Oklahoma. It's going strong. Bring more businesses and more people to move in. Weather always great. Love oklahoma.
I grew up in Oklahoma and lived in OKC for 20 years before moving to Southern California. There’s so much I miss about Oklahoma, especially the people. OKC is where the South ends and the West begins so the culture is a blend of the two: Southern hospitality, Western independent-mindedness, live and let live. The tornado fears are really overstated (in 50 years as an Oklahoman I saw exactly two with my own eyes). Weather forecasting there is World-class so just pay attention, the way we in SoCal pay attention during fire season. If you move there, do adopt Oklahoman ways; you’ll find it very relaxing. OKC and Tulsa are both undiscovered gems.
In fact, when I go out of state, I'm always surprised when I smile at a stranger, and they don't smile back! lol. Oklahomans love to smile! Yes, we have like, two large malls, and we have modern facilities, but with a cute charm to them! Oklahoma's not particularly large, but boy do we have ambition! I live in a great, safe community! We can't wait to have you and experience the richness of your own personal culture! If you need to know more, don't hesitate to ask, friend! ;)
Born and raised here..but have to follow my parents to go back home in Indonesia..how I love this city, if you get bored at 1am just go to wal-mart the one in belle aisle.. I miss oklahoma..someday ill be back..I used to live in nw 23rd neighborhood..

It is! :) I love my home dearly! I've grown to the ripe old age of 16 100% safely with great friends and fun sports, and I am known as a nice, friendly person. I'm moving here in a few months. Some of you guys say it's not a good place and it's boring. Well I come from a very small town with one school and no malls or even a Walmart in town. I've never lived in a city and I'm quite excited (:
I grew up in a small town, too. Then, I lived in OKC, which is the same as living in a small town. OKC is boring, and you'll find that out once you live there. The only good thing is the low cost of living, but there's few opportunities. I don't know what state you're in, but if you want a real city, move to Denver. There, you have the big city and the mountains with the best recreational activities in the world, all less than one hour away.
***** Oklahoma is very different for someone with an Italian heritage. Actually, it is not very diverse at all, except for the small Asian district, located on the West side of Oklahoma City and a few Hispanics spread out. As I said, the only thing I miss about Oklahoma is the low cost of living, many of the people are friendly, but there isn't very much to do, unless you like going to the mall or the casinos, once in awhile, but those things eventually get old. Overall, Oklahoma is boring. In my opinion, most of the people are racist and prejudice against other cultures. Definitely, pick a different place if you want to be culturally encompassed.
i was born in illinois but i was raised in oklahoma and i got to say its a great place to live now i serve in the united states navy and im thinking of moving back to oklahoma when i retire
I like Enid alot. There is an Air Force base there so you actually get to meet alot of people from all over the world. I even met some from Saudi Arabia. The base is mainly for pilot training. There are some very good restaurants you would be surprised. Some really beautiful houses. Calm but not too small. If your taking I-35 around an hour. @vtec526 i was originally from okc and i moved to seattle. they both arent bad. i understand where youre coming from though
nice video! go thunder
i lived in OKC for a long time. it wasn't as accepting and diverse to me personaly as many people here like to think. the only part of the entire state i found beautiful was the tallequa area, and Guthrie had this cool old colonial feel to it. But when i left, i found my home in Oregon. but i sure do miss my old highschool friends.
Yea Oklahoma City isn't a big city but it does look decent though
Lucas Fernandez boy, Oklahoma City is ranked the 8th biggest city in the United states.

@Marvinho22291 Don't be nervous, You will find that living here is very easy. What part of the city are you moving to? Make sure you visit Bricktown and some of the Restaurants on Lake Hefner!
