Rose Welton the late Ralph Goodpasture one of Chicago’s best and earliest choir directors. He was the choir director arranger and minister of music for many many years at the First Church Of Deliverance in Chicago Illinois. Very well known church and choir.

Chris Noe you can't say that cause Rev Jesse sang with the Gaithers for years and most of them were white. This was done back in early 90s and was to celebrate and honour the black gospel music ledgends.
Bill was not segregating when he did this. Him along with Donald put together some of the most popular and influential black Gospel Singers who blazed the trail during what was called The Golden Gospel Era. Most of all who are in this vid are gone now he was genius to be able to get these pioneering singers in one place together. If a bomb came through there it literally would have wiped out black Gospel history.
What you said is in part subliminal racism, this is black gospel being celebrated by black people, just as white people do in a white church celebrating white church music.
Y’all know what, God doesn’t know race, we are all his people! Red and yellow black and white, doesn’t matter, skin color doesn’t matter for God, we are all his children! I’m quite but I love the “black” Gospel because most of the time it’s more peppy and happy and it fits my style of music that I love to listen to. I’ve listened to this recording and many others from this taping and I love it! Bottom line is with Jesus, there is no segregation, we are all his children!
