Could be that his will is passed on, and Luffy has his will now. Rayleigh could've not known what he mean't by saying he won't die until Luffy told him that the King of the Pirates is the freest person, and doesn't rule anything. When Luffy said that I like to believe that Rayleigh finally understood what Roger meant, his will is now passed to Luffy, and Rayleigh sees it now.

It's amazing how far the crew has come, especially Robin. Before joining the Straw Hats, she would have jumped at any chance to learn the true history of the world. Now, however, she knows she has her crew behind her, supporting her. Robin knows she can take her own journey and learn her own answers, because of the faith in and friendships she has with her crew.

History is not like science. Science is about testing and getting results. History is about putting together a story with what clues are left, so what Rayleh says there actually makes sense.

I read manga, and i read a lot of theory. Onepiece is hell of a journey and masterpiece. i get along with onepiece maybe around 15 years. when i get a coffe or hangout with my friend, they love how i tell story about onepiece is, they all curious but didn't have time to start watching onepiece, so they got update by me telling them the story 😅

What Roger implied was the thing he about to do, will shock the world to its core, and his will would be inherited by someone.
