      Kodokan states that the difference between SEOINAGE and SEOIOTOSHI is whether or not the knees touch TATAMI. My SEOINAGE video also includes SEOIOTOSHI, so please check it out👍

    These are both throws I have a lot of interest in developing, thank you! I noticed you mentioned that when you go for a normal Osoto, people will turn to defend. It sounds like normal Osoto is Osotogari, and this would make the Osoto Otoshi a good follow up to stop their defense then?

    I loved it, I prefer osoto otoshi over osoto gari for self defense but as a taller guy in my club, I didn´t know that detail for hikite against taller guys.

    Why is the hikite pulled down when throwing but in uchi komi, the hikite is pulled up ?

      It is raising HIKITE to the top for awareness.
      In randori, it goes down because the opponent is resisting.
